| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The match felt a little slow but I think it works out well. I'm still amazed at how tall Murasakibara's team is against Seirin. I mean, just wow. I really liked the way Kuroko pulled off that teamwork stunt though with the others to score some points. I think if they're to win this match, they would have to do a lot of that. The little rivalry between the coaches made me chuckle a bit. |

| While everyone cannot get past that tall guy, Kuroko showed what he's useful for, disappearing shooting. Nice! Red guy also found a way to overcome another tall guy's block with the guy with injury's advice. For next round, childhood friend battle begins. Airing 10 mins late?, 2:13, next ep. |

| Good episode :D Kiyoshi's Vice claw is awesome ^^ Nice to see Aomine's reaction to Murasakibara shutting Seiren out. Even he was a bit surprised. Loved how Kuroko was the first to score against the invincible Yosen XD Thnx to Aomine, now Kuroko can join in on the fun :D Lol'd at Kuroko asking how do u shoot and Aomine just throwing the ball like nothing XD U gotta love their reactions esp Murasakibara's when he's scored on XD Mitobe's sign talking and their reactions to Koge TL'ing XD Kiyoshi's advice to Kagami was lol but useful XD Well nxt up Kiyoshi vs Murasakibara and Taiga vs Himuro. Should be nice. I don't remember liking Himuro's part in the manga though, hope it's done with quickly -.- Riko calling Yosen's coach Grandma inside her minds and she heard it XD |

| Since they're going up against a pure defensive team, it's not surprising that the episode wasn't really explosive. Still, it's only the first half, so I'm sure shit is going to get real soon enough :D |

| Nice, loving the fast paced comeback Seirin had after they started utilizing Kuroko. Lol at when Kuroko asked Aomine how he shoots, Aomine shoots effortlessly. I love how Aomine figured out the difference between Kuroko and regular players, how his passes are like pushing so trying to shoot that way might be better for Kuroko. Tatsuya's English at the end was hilarious. Nobody can stop me! Looking forward to it :) |

| Kuroko! I remember how awesome it was when he scored his first bucket in the manga! :D And it's still awesome in the anime! Kiyoshi is awesome with his advice. Likewise with Aomine and his demonstration on how to shoot. xD Also, I had a good laugh at Riko calling Yosen's coach a "granny" in her mind and the coach looked back at her like she heard it. XD Next up his Himuro and his Mirage shot. His Engrish was hilarious: "Nobody can stop me!" |

| As a manga reader, let me just say that the second half is 10 times more epic than the first. The first half was to merely establish a few things: 1) How Seirin broke the Shield of Aegis through Kuroko (with a shot that even Murasakibara can't block -- don't worry, there's a perfectly good explanation for this but it won't be explained this season) and he can open up their defense further with pump fakes. 2) How Seirin won the rebound battle with 3 titans guarding the post -- Vice Claw. 3) How Seirin stopped Yosen's low post scoring -- Kagami's physical play, power jump and block. 4) Now that Yosen can't score through their captain's post play, enter Himuro who wasn't needed until now. All this to get Seirin into a position where they can evenly match Yosen (both in offense and defense), unleash Himuro and begin the epicness that is the second half. Think about it, now that Himuro has joined the attack, what other weapons do Yosen have? |

| Riko found her long lost mother. LOL Regarding the fight so far on court, its a bit underwhelming compared to the previous episodes. Glad the focus isn't on Taiga/Tetsuya, hope Teppei gets some points off Murasakibara for back in the day! :D |

| @NoongaJuice The rest of the match is going to be high octane all the way. I wonder how the animation quality is going to keep up. I hope for episode 18 budget for the rest of the season but I know that's not going to happen. Please let episode 23 match episode 18 in terms of animation quality! It deserves it. And yes, time for Kiyoshi to shine next episode. Edit: Anyone else think they should have just used the phantom shot animation from the opening? I wouldn't mind at all. |

| This was probably my favorite episode of the season so far, because Kuroko got the chance to be a big BA on the basketball court. He was passing AND shooting! Loved every minute of him doing his thing. Still, I don't think they will beat Yosen, but I know they'll give it their all anyway. There's no way Seiren can beat a team full of Goliaths that also have amazing speed and reflexes. It would never happen IRL. So, if it happens here, it'll definitely be an ass-pull by the author.
