| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Not bad for the finale as it ties back to Etoile's role in the story again. Glad to see Hermes (Silver Mask) show up though. The fight he participated in felt rather underwhelming though. I wish he fought Daryun Also noticeable is that he managed to get his hands on the ancient relic (from the first episode) Really wish the season was a bit longer though.. Still, Arslan matured a lot as a leader and his journey continues. 7/10. The animation for the battle scenes could of really improved. |

| I should say, this is a "perfect" final episode to talk about Hermes again. And the words come from another person Arslan never met before, Narsus' soon-to-be brother-in-law. And to see Hermes in action always amuse a lot, almost like Daryun. |

| Only one thing to say after watching this: Season 3 fucking when? I really hope it does well enough to get a season 3 at some point in time. It would be immensely disappointing to see this series not be given a continuation from such a blatant cliffhanger. But for what we did get though, at least it was enjoyable. |

| And that's it, leaving off at an excruciating cliffhanger. If there's no Season 3 it'll be a real shame. Anyway, this was easily the most exciting batch of Arslan episodes yet, though not really thanks to Arslan's group ironically enough. XD Their adventure in Gilan, while serviceable as a story, was easily the least interesting thing about these episodes. The Ecbatana/Andragoras/Hilmes stuff was far more exciting. 7/10 |

| After the first season ended, I thought to myself that I didn't really care about whether or not this show got a second season, but I wouldn't mind if it did. However, this time I believe that a 3rd season is definitely necessary. It would be quite a disappointment if we got all this set up for this big battle just to never see the resolution (especially with the way this ended). However, I did remember thinking that a second season was going to be unlikely, and look what we got. So I suppose the possibility of a third season isn't entirely impossible. Well in terms of quality and my overall enjoyment, this season was pretty much the same as the previous season in my opinion, 6/10. It's a shame that this wasn't longer though. |

| wow best possible ending for this short season. Looking forward to s3. The OST this ep was brilliant. Art is okayish, not something I would be proud of but it works and this show is more about the story then fighting itself. For some reason I want to play total war rome 2 now and burn down ecbatana myself. :P I just hope we dont have to wait to long for the next season. Also im interested in how the story will go one. Arslan will probably be late for the fight considering it already started with the kings army and lusitania. Overall this season felt better then the first one, its was just a bit short. Since the final ep was a good conclusion 8/10 imo. |

| Season 3 is gonna be absolutely amazing. Not sure what I would have thought if you'd told me they were going to use the whole of season 2 just to set up for the third season but I thoroughly enjoyed this. Arslan has even managed to make a female from the enemies troops fall for him lmao. Can't wait too see what happens next, but the hype probably wont carry me through the wait till next season so it looks like I'll be picking up the manga as soon as possible. Anyone tell me what point I should start from? |

| a 4-way battle...wow A movie for the sequel would be most appropriate epilogue part, since movie tends to have much better animation and enough duration |

| And the end.Hermes managed to take the sword he wanted but shit Bodin escaped again.I want him dead no matter what.Now three Parsian armies are approaching to take over Ecbatana.I cannot imagine what will happen if they collide.Let's hope for a next season now. |

| I'd say no way they'd leave it there without a season 3, but when you consider some adaptations... Nonetheless I think it's quite likely to happen. |

| Sales weren't enough to outright guarantee a 3rd season, but that's not to say it won't happen. This season being only 8 episodes concerns me though, it makes me think there will not be a 3rd. |
| Better than season 1, music was amazingly placed throughout the anime, the new pirate arc was nice with a nice change of setting. Silvermask got his character development. 8/10, new season pronto pls. |
| Of course there will be a season three you guys are worrying to much. If they don't well it wouldn't make any sense but I'm positive that it will happen. |

| I was worried they may just rush everything in the final episode, but I'm glad they ended the way they did. It definitely gives the viewers hope for another season. Etoile + Arslan Shipping Soon. I really enjoyed Season 2, and definitely going to miss it. 8/10 |

| Ehhhhhh what a place to end it with. Unlike the prequel, it became quite predictable along the way and lacked the impact. Maybe coz of fast pacing issues? So it was an alright watch for me. 7/10 |

| Hah! How could you say it's bad place to end? I mean it was kinda obvious that this being only 8 episodes they'd end this just before the war. At least it's much better than some laid back ending that gives no hype for season 3. I heard the sales wasn't good but I hope it boosted the manga and novel just enough to fund season 3. I don't think they'd have just leave it like that, I don't remember any anime that ended at such a hype point and not have a continuation. As far as this season goes, it's much better than season 1. Maybe it's because the much shorter duration but it certainly wasted no time getting into the plot and action. I'd say 8.5/10? |

| I hope there'll be a 3rd season. Liked the episode and the season was good. Best part were the episodes in the port city. I don't know about the ending ... not the best but also not the worst time to let it end here. It is a cliffhanger ... makes you want to know how this continues (large battle at Ecbatana between different factions and maybe Arslan vs. Andragoras). But would have been worse if they had ended it in the middle of that battle. Andragoras still badass. I like him. |
| They literally ended the episode at the worst moment. If they don't make a season three of this, the cliffhanger would be Gangsta level. Oh, well, it's not like I'm going to miss the series or anything (well, I will miss Etoille). The season was kinda uneventful, except for the first episode and the last, anything important barely happened. The Gillan plot ended apporting nothing to the story, since Arslan didn't even completed his mission here and the more interesting parts were the ones who wasn't related to the main characters. The battle against those tribes of the first episodes could have been cut out too. Oh, and again, Narsus predicting everything totally killed any excitement I could had on the show. 5/10. And only for the awesome opening. This started very promising, but ended being a dissapoinment. The first season wasn't a masterpiece, but at least it had a better pace. Kinda sad. If they do a third season, I hope they improve this, if only a bit. |

| Very fitting finale. It has set the stage for a season 3 excellently, now we just have to hope that it does well enough sales-wise to garner a season 3. 7/10 for the season. As a whole, it was great and the fact that this is a 5-way ordeal now (Hilmes, Arslan, Andragoras, Guiscard, and Bodin) makes me really excited. The Gilan port stuff wasn't all that interesting though so it's a step down in rating from the 8/10 I gave the first season. Too bad Seven Deadly Sins had to steal the timeslot for the next 4 weeks or way have gotten 4 more episodes haha. |

| Why in the name of all that is holy didn't they add 4 episodes more and end this properly instead of on a cliffhanger? Budget? I cannot get a read on the Queen. What's her deal? |

| And so the Gilan arc ends and the progression is going fine. Can someone who read the novels confirm it is all canon? Now, Arslan Senki is about its third adaptation, and while the first ones were incomplete, now I firmly believe they will go all the way and animate the next books. This "finale" felt just like a regular episode so we might hear the news of a continuation in the next days. Hoping for it. :) |

| UGH, I NEED SEASON 3. AND IT BETTER BE MORE THAN 8 DAMN EPISODES. At least we get 7 Deadly Sins next week. With /4/ episodes... Also, when Gieve tries to ship Arslan with someone other than Daryun.  |
