Guess Hoozuki no Reitetsu isn't going to reach 20k.

Eh, heard that SAO Extra Edition is pretty much just a recap with some new footage, but eh, 20k already in the first week? Easy $$ for A-1, huh.

The popularity of SEED Destiny still baffles me (Jesus Yamato is so horrible), at least Mushishi sells well enough.

They should be thankful to have such a dumb fanbase (yes, buying recaps is dumb if they are expensive). I can't think of many easier ways to make money.

I will not be linking to my site in my posts any more, instead I just want to notify everybody that I posted the estimates for next week and that I added the Spring v2 drops.

While I could also post them here, it would take up a lot of space and a lot of time to copy & paste them. Not to mention that if I want to correct a mistake, i'll have to edit both posts, and it'd be rather annoying.

But its nice to see tesagura do so well, with the DVD's it'll probably be above 4k. The producers must be rolling in money by now.

Dokidoki is regarded as the worst season by most fans of the franchise I know because of its onconsistent writing and Mana being a Mary Sue³.
I hope Happiness Charge sells well enough in the future, though.

I'm just thinking that if Mushishi S2 turns out similar first week sales numbers, that will be a disappointment. It's certainly nice seeing the special episode get those sales, but I'm hoping 10k+ for season 2. That would be b e a utiful

19,928 19,928 Sword Art Online: Extra Edition Limited Edition

Fantastic, best recap special I have seen and really good sales numbers. My copy should be shipping this week when a few other things are ready on AmiAmi.

Blu-Ray
*14,557 *14,557 Kuroko no Basket 2nd Season Vol.4
*5,219 *5,219 Strike the Blood Vol.4 Limited Edition11.
*3,840 *3,840 Witch Craft Works Vol.2

Good consistent sales for all 3, hoping for another season for each as well at some point.

DVD
22. *,487 *,***,487 Nobunaga the Fool Vol.1

Ouch. This deserves so much more, excellent series thus far.

Buying recaps may be dumb to you but that doesn't mean everyone sees it that way and why call the fanbase dumb because of it? The new footage alone makes it worth it to me not forgetting all the extras that come with it and an extremely reasonable price. That and as a collector of the series I don't want something missing.

Just realised (after rechecking release date) that Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga. volume 2 missed the cut-off in both. A great shame, mine shipped last Friday, expected as much sadly.

I think Pupa will be the worst selling short of all time. xD

Hamatora BD isn't on there so guessing it sold less than the cut off? A shame I loved that show.

We will probably see almost the same numbers for Mushishishishsihi season 2 and SAO2 bluray volumes one they're out.

Nisekoi, Tesagure and WCW ranked above each other by subtracting 10 copies. Haha amazing.

I don't think you should compare Mushishi to SAO.... Although Mushishi is better in pretty much everything imo, it's not as popular as SAO

Also, is Mushishi 2 going to adapt the rest of the manga or is there going to be room for a third season?

Monogatarai at the top of the chart this week nice. KnB 2 also in the top 5.

For Love Live, it looks like it's the first time it ranked into the Oricon's weekly charts. I bet the group performing the song is happy about that if they realize it's not a dream. I kinda like the song too.

So Strange+ is the worst selling show of all time now

but since it is only a low-budget 5-min. anime, it was most likely more profitable than mahou sensou

Hamatora BD isn't on there so guessing it sold less than the cut off? A shame I loved that show.
Thursday will have Blurays, top 100.

Mahou Sensou got a good boost to the light novel sales, though, Which was probably the main point in the first place. All those people seeing how poorly done the adaptation was and rushing off to get the source material so they could read the actual thing.
It's not the first time a poorly received anime adaptation has given a large boost to the source material. I seriously hope that doesn't become a trend.

What a sad way of getting more LN sales, I'd rather have a good adaptation to get me more interested in reading the source material. It also seems a bit spiteful by the studio to do this.

I'm not saying it was done deliberately. Just to make that clear.

Yeah, seems pretty unlikely. Who would want to be known as (or associated with) the studio that intentionally makes adaptations people dislike to boost novel sales...
