 It was previously announced that the Fairy Tail anime would be restarting, however, it was unknown when it would begin airing again. A scan from the upcoming sixth issue of Weekly Shounen Magazine will announce that the anime will be restarting April 2014.The scan also has an excerpt from the director of the series, Shinji Ishihira. In it he states that the staff of the anime has changed and that they are working to improve the quality of the anime. The scan shows the cast for the main characters, which all remain the same, and a few members of the new staff. | Glad to hear it is coming back. Although I honestly wish they waited long so we wouldn't have to go through fillers or another hiatus right after it comes back. Still glad to hear it is coming back and glad to hear they didn't replay 'Aya Hirano' for the voice of 'Lucy'. |

| Why not say "continuing" instead? "Restart" makes it sound like It's gonna be airing from the beggining again. Anyways I would like to catch up to watch a new series but I dropped it long ago cuz adaptation was mediocre IMO. |

| For the people who are wondering if the series is going to start from back from episode 1 or if it will start where it left off: I haven't watched the full series yet, but I know that when the anime ended it had "To Be Continued" at the end of the last episode. Also I know Mashima pumped out a lot of chapters in a short period of time when the anime stopped which I'm assuming he did so that the anime would start again as soon as possible. In this case I'm almost positive "Restart" just means the anime stopped, but is now it going to start back up again not restart the entire anime. Lastly from a business sort of view it would make no sense to redo the previous episodes. It's not like the anime is old, it started back in 2009. There is really no reason to start from the beginning again. I didn't put "Continue" because the scan says "Restart" and I don't want to change words for the sake of changing words, plus I'm not 100% positive. |

| I think it'd be a really stupid move to start the series all over, I'm pretty sure they'll start where they left off. I'm not that happy, though, it wasn't that good anime, whole anime was like, bad guys appears, beats up good guys, Natsu will talk some sh*t about friendship and magically gain powers with which he'll defeat the bad guys, then it starts all over again. But I'll still be sure to watch, because I still have few characters I like and would like to know how they'll end up dying. | FUCK YES! I've been waiting for this news for so long. I've been missing those cheesy nakama speeches, can't wait to see more.
