| Wow, I had high exceptions for this show and this episode totally surpassed them. The action was extremely satisfying, and all the characters were built up/developed amazingly. (Especially the student council). Wasn't perfect though, there were things that irked me... The main problem I had was with the main character Ryuko. Her personality is a bit bipolar and her traits are too far different for me. To me, with the amount of badass-ness that she has, she shouldn't be blushing and getting embarassed about her outfit. And the other way around, if she's that shy, they make her act WAY too damn tough. It only showed a tad bit, but it felt a little try-hard of them to cram every damn thing they can in this episode, (action, kawaiiz, tits, etc etc) But yeah, the personality issue is a general anime thing that has always irked me :/.. I guess I had the expectation that Gainax would drift away from it. Disappointed with the amount of fan-service too.. It's a tad bit distracting, especially when the characters are interrupting the moment and shouting from the side, "Nice view!!" But I guess that's the Trigger way~ |
| Pretty good 1st episode. Took me a few minutes to get used to the animation but it soon sucked me in. |

| It was AMAZING. I really didn't expect that, I thought I would simply like the show and sigh at Western fans getting too excited but damn, I already love this show. The problem is, I have serious doubts about how long will its energy last. If they can manage whole cour or however long is it supposed to be, Kill la Kill will be a masterpiece. |
| copy/paste The animation is wonderful, in my opinion. Very refreshing. The character design is splendid as well. Although some characters are quite retarded. Though that's the charm of such characters, I guess. The episode was pretty fast paced, but that in itself is kind of a charm. One that I liked very much. The ecchi level is fantastic! And I'm not talking about Ryuuko's uniform. In her fight with the boxer guy, her body was.... well detailed?... unlike in other anime wheres the body proportions seem off, in KLK it seems just right. An uniform that gives you a power boost. Now, that's an interesting concept in itself. I can't remember if there are other anime with uniforms that give you a power boost (at least, not such plain looking uniforms). Satsuki Kiryuin's 'godlike' introduction was pretty awesome. I like her voice a lot. The whole academy looks more like an entire city. Now that's something I want to see in real life. Although, what happened during and after Ryuuko met Satsuki pretty much with left me with a similar expression http://i.imgur.com/1fkoZJq.jpg Which was basically a surprise and 'what the--' face for me. And no, it's not anything negative. It just makes it more enjoyable. That boxer guy seemed pretty nice in the beginning, however he became full retarded later on. His 'cool' level only lasted a minute or so before I put him off as an annoying character. Sentient uniforms. Ah, I could say that this is the only part which I dislike. The uniform is very good, however it being sentient doesn't add that well with my book. It kind of ruins it for me. Well, now I'll just wait for the second episode to see what will become of Ryuuko. |

I liked the Trigger art style in Little Witch Academia and I like it here. I like the action and the soundtrack, and just that a decent amount happened this episode. This is like Imaishi's other shows so far in that I like it a lot, but it's really weird and there are tons of things that you could probably hold against it if you felt so inclined. But I don't. |

| AMazing first episode man, totally lived up for all the hype i had for it. It was so face paced, and just.... awesome. Really didn't waste time explaining the setting etc, which made this a blast to watch. That sailor costume looks SO SEXY. And lolol at the whole scene when it first appeared. |
| People are gonna kill me for saying this, but I didnt like it as much as most people here. What I disliked the most were the action scenes, specially the last fight against the boxer. I dont mind some ecchi, but the way it was intoduced was really bad. The suit she used during that fight was hella awkward and blushing in the middle of a fight does not only prevent me from taking the whole thing seriously but its downright stupid too. Also I was thinking that if her suit can turn into steel why doesnt he hit the parts of her body that arent covered by her suit? After all she is half naked. Dont get me wrong, the episode was certainly decent but I didnt think it was OMFG best episode ever/10 like most people here. For me its a 7/10. I will certainly keep watching. |

| This episode was rather good, but it's a pity that its all over the place pacing was problematic for the soundtrack. Tracks began and ended almost immediately. |
| I don't know about anime being saved, but it's certainly a step in the right direction. Hope it ends up being as epic as Gurren Lagann. Wish there wasn't fanservice, though. |
| This epd was AMAZING it feels like TTGL mixed with a grind house feel. Art is amazing, animation is amazing, ost is amazing, characters are amazing. lets see if we learn more about the sailor uniform and goku uniforms in the next epd. BTW for people how keep crying over a little fan service please... STFU |

| It's just that, if anime could actually be saved, why would it be this anime to do so, and not any series before it? I mean, somebody already compared this to Brotherhood already (???). |
| Well, it was about as bat shit insane as I expected the first episode to be. We learned a little, but not a whole lot about the world this universe. It appears somewhat futuristic considering the teacher started out the show with a history lesson about 1930s Germany (obvious symbolism for what's happening at this school?) I'm not quite sure what to think about this series as a whole yet considering what we've learned so far is Matoi is a rebellious personality that is looking for her parents' killer. It's enough to keep me interested but I at least hope this series slows down a little bit at times to develop some character. That was the nice thing about Gurren Lagann...while it was bat shit insane, it at least had its quiet moments of character building as well. |

Dont get me wrong, like I said I thought this episode was decent but the way people are hyping this is starting to get kinda annoying. |
