| I'm liking seeing more about Spike's past, but the part where the kid "aged" was weird. XD'' Very good episode, IMO - loved it and the sort of "twist" that happened... "Save him" meant Zebra, who'd have thought it? |

We've also been told that one see his life flash before his eyes just before death. It was interesting to see where he came from. The end with Valentine was funny. Even after being totally wrapped up he still had the strength to rag on her. |

| Wow, the moment he's falling...the music and memories of his past...great! I've watched this 3 times ^^ Up untill now it wasn't that good as i expected to be, but now it's getting more and more interesting... I can't wait to see the next episode. |

| 'Tone-deaf.' Lol, awesome xD The episode was great :O The flashbacks told me almost nothing, but I expect it to clear itself up by the end of the series. I don't believe that Vicious is dead, because he seems like a pretty important character... The scene where Spike was falling is pure gold. |

| so I watched the first four episodes over a year ago when I was just getting into anime for the first time, and now I have returned because I thought it was about time I watched the rest of this series. Anyway this episode WOWED me. Very artistic. BTW I am watching it in english, and when people say Cowboy Bebop has the best dub I can see what they mean! |
| The music was beautiful. Spike falling was a great scene. Faye is gorgeous. Spike was very hot, beaten, bruised, and wrapped in bandages in his flash back. and a cute mummy in the tone deaf scene. great episode!^_^ |

| For those who want to know the title of the music playing while Spike was falling, the title is "Green Bird" You can hear it on youtube. Also, the piece playing near the end (Spike being bashed by Faye) is called "Piano Bar I" just for those interested. :) |

| Everyone look and learn, that is what a villain is like, and this is how you make a masterpiece. There's a glimpse at Spike's past, and although it's not much, you can actually learn a lot from what is shown if you look carefully. There is a familiar face, possibly a lover, there's a friend/companion, as well as betrayal and "death". I loved the way they introduced Vicious, one of the most artistically and obscure entrances of a main's nemesis. We also take from this episode that Mao, the bounty, was the leader of Red-Dragon, a sort of Mafia from where Spike and Vicious made their name. Though it seems Vicious has an agenda of his own and betrayed the group killing Mao. He also learns that Spike is alive (probably due to Mao's last words) and sets up a trap. Then the Cathedral scene happens. I don't like to use the word perfect, but everything about this episode was flawless, perfect in my eyes. This episode is my favorite of the first part and is among my favorite episodes of all time. There's so much thrill, mystery, development and emotion all the while a beautiful soundtrack plays. Vicious is truly a fallen angel, the way he moves, the way he talks, the way he lurks in the shadows. A real entity of fear and darkness. See You Space Cowboy... |

| All I have to say is "God damn, what an episode". The scenes from when Spike walks up to the church all the way to when he falls is fucking excellent. That's great, great, great directing. One of the best episodes I've seen in anime. |
