| I actually find this episode rather boring. Perhaps it's because the story is anime-original and related to the sponsor (Wakasa Seikatsu), which supports high school female baseball. The lack of the humor we usually find in other episodes, and even with the addition of the aggressive Shimano's female cousin in the selection test still makes this episode dull in comparison to other episodes. I'm not expecting the same amount of drama we saw in Ep 35, but I was hoping that it is decently watchable (after the experience after watching the previous anime-original episode, Ep 22). Quite sad, but I guess I shouldn't expect too much coming from original story. The only twist is at the end when the ball hitting Aoba when Azuma batted. Just when Azuma is coming of the "trauma" from forcing his elder bro quit baseball team... From the preview, it seems that Aoba's leg injury causes her to miss her second round of nationals selection. It'll be interesting to see how Azuma handles this. At least Kou is deeply concerned about Aoba after this accident. Sometimes I really wonder what his true feelings are. Hmmm. |

| It's finally arrived...Aoba's gonna try out for the Girl's national team!!! I know she's gonna make it, and I can't wait to see her give to that snotty college pitcher!!! Lots of candidates for rivals!! But, I have a suspicion it will be Ryouu's 4th batter Megumi!!! LOL, "Why would I worry about her?!" I really enjoy watching all the girl's baseball and everything, these tryouts are awesome so far!!! They need to make a spin-off of Cross Game, all about the girls and have Aoba be the star!! That would be an awesome show!!! OMFGEPIC!!!!! Aoba is the shit!!! "....of your face."!!!! The face-offs were amazing, they need to do that with the men to, that would be awesome!!!! Damn @_o!! Well, you knew she was gonna get hit when Kou said something!! No more tryouts T___T nuuuuuuuu!!!! Damn you Azuma!!!! Can't wait for more...Urahara Out!! Sent with Mal Updater |

Really enough with the fillers. 36 was not that bad but with non-adachi touch i just cant enjoy as much as i do in the other episodes.. Edit: Kou's reaction for Aoba'S thanks was good too XD.. |

| I hope Aoba can still qualify for the women's team after the injury..With the number 18 jersey that Aoba wore in the tryouts and the recent injury, looks like it's a premonition that she will not be playing for the national team, rather she will be playing for Seishu in the summmer Koshien.. Can't wait to see what happens next |

| You just knew she'd get hit when Kou warned her to use a safety net, and when Azuma pretty much gave her his weak spot so she would give him pitches that were harder for him to hit. I'm sure she's frustrated not being able to participate in the second round of the tryouts, but... she did say that she was just doing it to test her skills. Hopefully that lifts some of the frustration...? :S So is that female Ryuuou pitcher a filler character? I didn't like her "cousin" and I don't really like her... so yeah, I hope she's not an original character/one from the manga. -_- It would be awesome to see Aoba playing in the Summer Koshien with Seishuu. The jersey number seemed to foreshadow she'd get to play in Koshien, at least... And then there's Wakaba's dream that has to come true, right? :D |

Sometimes I don't understand the feeling of manga reader, but I know very well that what you watch or read "first" is more memorable ... |

| So this episodes dedicated to Aoba's tryouts results. it was nice to see the girls from the previous encounter again. Grand, that last Shimano Prick had a sister....ugh Bah "weaker one" get wrecked. I kinda expected the Lesser Girl Pitcher(forgot her name) not to make it Cause i THOUGHT they might go into little more detail with this and Aoba but.... Damn Aoba got nailed and...this will most definitely Shock Azuma considering his last incident with his OWN brother! |

| SHOCKING. 130 kph is around 80mph. I looked up to see what the fastest women's pitch was, I didn't get a clear answer since they all seem to be softball underhand pitches. That hit must have came back atleast 100mph. |

| Whoa, what. I was not expecting that ending. Crap. It's really stupid that a player as good as Aoba can't play in normal games. There's no reason to keep the baseball teams segregated. It should just be based on ability. Still, from a narrative standpoint that ending was a nice play. Not only will it provide an opportunity for good character interactions, but it will also keep Aoba from having to decide between staying at Seishu and joining (or failing to join) the national team. |

| oof she got hit! was not expecting that i had no clue the women's baseball stuff was all filler, i think it fits p well into the story. tbh i'd probably be frustrated if we never got to see aoba exploring the option of women's baseball, she's so trapped and useless on the boys' team. but i guess this for sure means she won't join the women's team... curious to see how she is able to play on the koushien, since that is what this anime seems to be building towards i also finally googled what the koushien is since it wouldn't freaking go away xDD they mention it every episode now |
