Because we will hear about ISIS for the rest of the year and maybe for many years. So you can pretty much post all the news on one thread. Like this

Yes, friend. People must realise that ISIS is the future, and the inevitable success of the caliphate is sped along by their compliance. Counter US aggression, take Israel, Mecca, and then: the world.

Think we should call them Daesh, it seems to piss them off, plus I recently heard that "The Cult of Isis" still has members, seems kind of unfair that "Isis" should get the rights to this name despite them being over 2000 years younger than the Cult of Isis.

Man, who even knows anymore? It's like someone comes up with alternate spellings for every extremist organization in existence. IS, ISIS, ISIL...Al Qaeda, Al Qaida. I tell ya though, the first time I heard Al Qaeda, I thought "Why would someone name their group akin to what sounds like a cheese sauce?"

Someone needs to go on record with just one damn name for all of them. I vote for "Those guys." Members will refer to themselves as "Us guys."

The sad thing is that a lot of leaders sat down to discuss what to call them . . . And wouldn't ya know it, they really couldn't agree. I think though this might just have been more because they didn't really care what they were called, just that they didn't like them.

well he 'was' residing in the UK
and we could tell from the accent anyway
FBI and MI5 said ages ago that they knew who he was, they just didn't give a name

the biggest revelations of getting his name are that we now know he was from Kuwait, was detained and questioned by MI5 a few times when they accused him of wanting to go to Somalia, and later escaped to Syria via an still unknown route
and, like most evil people, he studied Information Technology

but people want to change the acronym so that other people don't associate IS with a true 'Islamic' state
and i thought the people doing that were usually non-Muslims who don't speak any Arabic

Oh, I wasn't aware that Daesh was how you refer to the Egyptian goddess Isis in Arabic. My bad. If that isn't the case, can I assume that are just randomly lashing out without any forethought before posting? I mean when did I once mention that Isil =/= Daesh in meaning? I don't recall doing so, do you?

And that's why they need to be stopped. Not necessarily with bombs and weapons, but by defeating them at their own game which is their propaganda. Problem is with more and more young men being disillusioned at the world, the more likely they are to believe in becoming a part of something 'greater' without even realizing the consequences of what they're getting into.

Somebody should probably shooting at ISIS.. probably justified as an act of self defense for neighboring countries since they're conquering and enslaving large populations with promises to annex the middle-east.

"The pen is mightier than the sword! In human affairs, the truth is hard to find, which is why that expression is true. We couldn’t topple with the sword, but we exposed his crimes against human society. That is the power of the pen. The pen can impeach the dictator of a hundred years ago or the tyrant of a thousand years ago."
