| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- SHAFTTTTTTTTT So far, I wasn't blown away by the latest episode. Still, it made its point pretty well. Ene is adorable :3. I'm not a big fan of her voice so far yet though. Anyways, decent episode. The MC is going to have to deal with Ene. Shaft style baby. Those head tilts. The plot moved pretty fast. The MC gets himself into shit already. Nice although it felt kinda fast. Still, I'll be enjoying this ride. Thanks Shaft for that creativity. |

| So uh, I'm just going to throw this disclaimer out right now: This show isn't going to spoonfeed you straight away. The feeling of "what the fuck did I just watch" is intended. Anyways, it was alright. This thread is going to get really heated, really fast though. |

| Shaft is really doing their best to make it as confusing as possible. Well, I've been waiting quite a long time for this. Pretty satisfied with this episode, though I didn't really like this bit in the manga either and the voice actors fit the characters a lot better than I was expecting. |

If I was an outsider from the KagePro fandom, I would've been confused as hell. I'm not sure if critique outsiders are actually going to stay in to watch episode 2 (which answers almost everything episode 1 has) The OST wasn't that good either but it's only ep 1. | So people are predicting this is the future best selling anime of all time and next big social phenomenon in Japan. Could set a bad precedent this way with what looks like a pretty lackluster effort to cash in on a social trends and not much else. Sounds like even the fans of this shows source are kind of disappointed though. Going to be a curious situation to observe if it's an all time best seller anyway by using that weird release strategy and relying on the pre-install fanbase to plunk down because by the looks of it hasn't won over many new fans with the first episode and only served to turn away some old ones. |

| Kind of disappointed in this first episode, but I still have high expectations for the series. The animation isn’t nearly as nice as I was hoping it would be. Ene is adorable though. |
| I really liked it. Idk why there's so much hate... And if you know the WHOLE story you should know the pacing is good because there is alot to go through. |

Just because the source is popular doesn't mean the adaptation will be. With that said, people buy blindly into hype. In any case, we shall see where these volumes place on the charts in a few months. No point in predicting when one episode is out. |
| MARiA is singing the OP. She has performed in a live concert with Jin before so it's not a complete surprise to see her here, but I really thought IA would be doing the OP. I remember a video got uploaded on nico with IA singing Children Record and the title saying that it's the full OP for the anime. lol wut Jin used dubstep in the background? Interesting... I know a little bit about the characters and story here and there from some of the songs, but isn't this very vague for people who are completely new to Kagepro? |
| nope. cant say i enjoyed any of the first episode and i wont be back for ep2 either. the visuals are pretty crappy..to say the least. whole episode felt udnerwhelming and i couldnt bring myself to care for what is going on. just watched newest ep of nisekoi and then this..wow..like day and night. 1/5 dropped |
| I hate Shaft animation but it really looks good with story cuz its not some everyday teen lovecom story, it has deepness. And like everyone said I was waiting for IA songs at background or at least for opening, sonuvabetch Jin. Anyway 4/5 from me for Ene. ♥♥ |

| RIP Shaft. I hope they will survive this. At least, for all its cheapness, I enjoyed this episode. Kana Asumi speaking for the whole episode probably helped a lot. I'm mildly curious about where this will go. |

| Disappointing first episode. The animation looked a little low budget. There's no gloss to these characters what so ever. Must say I like Ene design so far. Also didn't understand what the plot of this is. Is it about him going outside or buying a keyboard? Op was okay I guess. Going to give it two more episodes. Hopefully it improves. |

| For someone who is new to this anime and has never read anything about Mekaku, I really liked the episode. Really really interested on the rest of the series with this first episode. |
