| Hmm, still not sure what to make of this. The beginning of the episode made me regret for choosing to watch this show but when I saw the animation quality later on I decided to stick to it, at least for that one episode. In it for the visuals, randomness and retro feel. Not in it for the nightmare fuel grandma and the monster in the end. |

| Leave it to Brain's Base to make an update of a Go Nagai show work so well for new anime fans. Awesome opening, of course, I expect no less from Masaaki Endoh. I was heartbroken it wasn't Hironobu Kageyama like the MAL database originally said, but Endoh works great too. The humor in this was soooooo far off the wall. I especially enjoyed the self-comeback parody. You know, I think I'm gonna enjoy this show. |

The database relies only on the users input and the staff doesn't seem to check the entries and just quickly give them the approval. ANN is better for this kind of information. By the way, it's not the first time Brain's Base is adapting a Go Nagai work. It all started with Mazinkaiser, then went on to Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo, New Getter Robo, Kikoushi Enma and lastly this. Shin Mazinger was done by two different studios. Shin Jeeg and Mazinkaiser SKL were done by Actas. |

| Average and an ugly main character, He really looks horrible. Who exactly was this show made for? On one hand the whole thing seems to be for kids but on the other they through some staff like penis monster, granny boobs etc. Don't know if i will keep watching. |
| Wasn't going to watch this, but thought I'd just see what it's about. Now I'm glad i did. There are definitely some very weird things going on (boom swinging, dick fighting) which were very amusing. For a 70s show remake, its very good. |

| Downright formidable first episode. One of the best and definitely the funniest this season. On top of that, animation and direction are epic and the voice casting is simply incredible... I mean, the two main female characters are played by Ayako Kawasumi and Mamiko Noto, isn't that awesome ? Fantastic dialogues too. |

| OH GOD ENMA WAS A BOY!? SHIT! But that's even better because KUMA IS VOICING ENMA AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO The comedy here is surprisingly unique. They break into song and the humour is NASTY.  Definitely sounds like something I'd say. Feels like Disgaea, LOOKS like Disgaea. Although Enma is an altered version of Laharl. Not great, but fun shit. Nice charm. Highlights are Kuma's and Fuuka's voices. And the ending MAAAAN I FEEL SO HAPPY or just HIgH ffFFuUUcKKK |
| Better than expected. I like the style, the quirky characters and the humor. Also nice fanservice with Yukihime. Could have done without the grandma and her swinging tits, but it didn't bother me either. |

| Deffinitly very different to Go Nagi's manga. In fact this series seems like its a running gag show poking fun at 70's tropes. The art style retains the retro look from the 70's the openings/endings are really bizare and the comedy and running gags are just over the top. I think I may enjoy this. Still strange how this and the 70's anime series actually omits the intro of the story. |
