THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

Gotta admit that this was a pretty damn good episode. Never thought that it was Kyosuke who bought Madoka the hat in the first place. Does this mean that Madoka knew of his powers the entire time?

Considering what came before, this is shaping up to be a surprisingly excellent two-episode finale to the TV series. The whole 'Madoka must leave for America... again' thing was so rushed that it makes me believe this ending is what got put in the wideban volume releases, following the cancellation of the manga, but everything else has been great - so much so that it makes Kyosuke and Madoka's love one which was decided by fate; before Madoka even knew Kyosuke. The hat-catching part of the first episode has now become far more meaningful.

There's some The Terminator level time-loop confusion, though. I mean, how did Kyosuke end up going back in time to save Madoka originally - setting up the entire KOR story - if he never had her fall in love with him at first sight originally?... AFFDGFHDFF.

I'm really looking forward to finishing up KOR now - starting with the TV series. Off I go!

To be frank, I SAW THIS coming. I just KNEW it was Kyousuke who kissed her back then, but I still liked this epiosde.

One thing that confused me was why Madoka was a lot taller than both Hikaru and Yuusuke?

Did anyone else notice the BOY'S AN NON shirt?

As for the events in the episode, I found them quite predictable, yet well executed. I'm also glad that Kasuga now has a reason for picking Ayukawa. She is finally "officially" assigned as the show's main heroine.

Love decided by "destiny" is always boring. I'm annoyed by how much older Madoka looks in comparison to Yuusaku and Hikaru. Not impressed but it was better than the other episodes in the series, not like that's saying much though.

Every love is decided by destiny.

I kind of guesses that Kyosuke would be the one Madoka kissed, due to timey wimey stuff. What I didn't guess was that the hat would connect them too.

Looks like Kyosuke travelling back in time was supposed to happen.

I can't wait to see what happens in the final episode.

Madoka and Kyosuke are like 2-3 years older than Hikaru so her looking older makes some sense.

This episode was gold! Absolutely loved it!

Nope, they are only one year older than Hikaru.

Yeah, you're right lol. Found out in the movie. But like in real life, kids of similar ages can be different sizes. Ok, I'm just making excuses now lol.

Stupid. So instead of having the guy coping with the fact that he doesn't own the girl, that she had a boyfriend in the past, that anyone courting her at present should understand she has her own history, it turns out it's him who went back to the past and save her. and she is still the pure ideal girl just as he wishes.

and what the f@ck with thinking out the plot of having a bunch of college guys bulling a 9 year old girl. f@cking ridiculous, just so she can fall down the cliff

Everyone was so adorable as kid, except for Madoka the little rascal xD

This was a great episode and I'm glad that it ties into the finale. Everyhting coming full circle. Also, since we have time traveling, it would be cool if they gonna show an alternative future like in pretry much ever cartoon.

Finally the wait is over! I've been begging for an episode centered around Madoka's past and finally here it is. Don't have much to say because everything in this episode was flawlessly executed. The last episode gonna make me decide wether i give this show a 9/10 or a 10/10.

"It's always such a pleasure to hear young girls scream!" what in the actual hell Grandpa?

One episode left, the journey's almost over but, wow dude, in no way would I have imagined it THIS GOOD. Episode 47 was a solid 9/10.

No kidding, this is Kimagure Orange Road at its best!

Yeah it was obvious from the get-go that Ayukawa Madoka's first love was Kasuga Kyosuke. But goddammit as a time travel enjoyer I LOVED this episode! Everything about it was just so perfect and I didn't think the red hat from the first episode had THIS much significance. Every good time travel story has to have an inanimate object of significant importance it seems.

Also no one mentions that at the beginning of the episode after the OP we saw an alternate version of the opening scene of episode 1 where Madoka's hat didn't fly off and land on Kyosuke? Could it have been the original timeline where Kyosuke didn't timeslip? Pretty unlikely cause without the timeslip Madoka would be dead. Still it's interesting to ponder about.

Last episode. Okay. I'm not ready. I'm thinking it'll probably have a grim ending despite the preview monologue. And we'll get the "true" ending from the movie.

Umm what else her first love could be. Of course it gotta be Kyosuke that time slipped to the past. I might consider skipping the OVA altogether and jump straight to its movies.

This is a great episode, and this probably trumps all the bad previous episodes.

Kasuga is jealous of the man Ayukawa had as first kiss. It turns out that it was he. Actually, it became predictable once he started interacting with the younger Yuusaku and Hikaru.

The girl he thought was Madoka was actually her older sister.

Grandpa had her teleport to the past and thus learn of his Esper powers. It looks like an exciting end.

To be honest, this anime could've been done in 1 cour or at most 2 cours. The inflated number of episodes were put so the mangaka could write as many funny (or unfunny) situations as possible.

Not that I dislike having to watch these characters for long, but it means not all episodes are equally as good.
