As a viewer of the Pokémon series from when they started, I would say that I enjoyed it as much as I did 14 years ago. As an old Pokémon fan I am I bought Pokémon X on release date and have enjoyed every second of it. Now the anime started, I saw a lot of elements coming alive from the game.
As I saw the trailer of the anime, I didn't expect much of it. I found that Satoshi or Ash changed his looks way to much. It looked like the characters came from a pot of gold on the end of a rainbow. read more

**Updated 1/11/15 with all episodes seen. **

Pokemon XY turned out to be a really worthy entry for Pokemon fans, old or new to sit down, relax and enjoy.

STORY: 5/10 Mediocre

Don't expect much story from Pokemon, for it is still a show that is primarily directed towards kids. You will still see the power of friendship, teamwork, trust and love swirling around every episode, so the basic formula did not change from the old Pokemon series.

In Pokemon XY we follow Ash in his endeavor to beat all eight gyms to challenge the Kalos league, Serena in her conquest to obtain three princess keys by read more

This is my first review so if I make some mistake please forgive me.

New season of Pokémon and imediatly you think that this would be like the past seriesand for this reason you don´t give a shoot to the new generation but you´re totally wrong!

Starting with the caracters. In this new region Satoshi(Ash) seems a little more mature and this is what we, fan´s of the series wanted to the see for a long time!
Passing to the rest of main caracters, they look very cool.

The best part in this new generation is the soundtracks! They used the soundtracks from the first pokémon game/pokémon series.

Here are my review * sorry, english is not my naive language..

Story - 9/10
The story did a petty good job here, i already watch all episode till now, and i mean, it still does have a side story, but its about character development and meeting with a new Pokemon.
The story still predictable but not as predictable like the series before it.
Just like the Gym Battle, usually Satoshi(Ash) Pokemon beaten by gym leader new Pokemon after Satoshi beat the Gym Leader Pokemon. But now, he beat it with a strategy and guts. Nice improvement.

The story is good, so i recommend this season for Pokemon Fans.

The stupid main character and his/her slightly-less-stupid friends go on many crazy adventures. Both involve talking animals. They are both funny, colorful, and very enjoyable!

Anime: One Piece
Both main characters have the same goal: become the best of their worlds. While in Pokemon they travel in the lands, challenging people and dealing with the bad guys, in One Piece they travel in the sea, dealing with the bad guys and the ones that should be considered the "good guys". Both animes are slow, but will give you a weekly dose of entertainment
