Just been busy with other hobbies/things.

Lol It's cool. I don't always update MAL as soon as I watch something and try and only rate once I've finished a series. I'm currently watching and reading a few things at the moment while working a lot of overtime, so I haven't really finished anything recently. Also, that's cool, which review was it you read? (and you're not bothering me, I was just confused since it's the first someone's reached out to me on here lol)

I read about 6000 manga chapters, and that's the stuff I remembered and could register on MAL. The actual number is likely much higher, possibly at least by one or two thousands.

The thing is, most of the mangas are unfinished. They often run for years, so you pick something up, read all the available content, then you run out of content, and either try to follow it for a while, or it gets cancelled, or it is no longer translated, and so it becomes "dropped".

For example, from my list, Overlord (manga) is still being produced. Tsuki ga Michibiku is being produced. Then we had stuff like... world customize creator, which is apparently in some sort of schroedinger state - neither dead nor alive. How about, say, "Yajin Tensei"? Probably hasn't been finished properly.

There's also a lot of bad material. Something might start off strong, then gets worse, then you can no longer stomach it.

And that's, in essence, why I drop a lot of things.

By the way, Animals is a great album. All the right pieces in all the right places, even the bad ones.

Yeah, their early works are good as long as they are hits, while the others are kinda fillers, but I think after Rubber Soul, I had to listen to all the numbers in each major album. Which is exact like John Lennon said himself, they were artist, no longer pop idols.

Still they could produce some of the worst during that period, like Revolution 9 or Wild Honey Pie, but what can I say if someone still find them enjoyable?

Part 4 of JoJo took it in another direction and one I didn’t find very compelling. Most people like it though, so I guess I’m in the minority on this one. But many seem to agree that part 5 is the bottom of the barrel. I’ll stick around mostly because I’ve heard that Steel Ball Run will be great whenever it comes out.

It’s a pretty mid season from what I’ve heard so it’s perfect for catching up with older stuff. I am very interested in Sonny Boy too though. Excited to see if this is the beginning of Madhouse's comeback. Lately I’ve felt that they’ve started falling into obscurity so I’m hopeful that they’ll stay afloat. Vanitas no Karte seems like my kinda thing too. I love myself some gothic steampunk. And then there’s Kaizoku Oujo which is a Crunchyroll Original from what I understand. They don’t have the best track record but I’ll go into it with an open mind.

I forgot to mention that I’m currently reading Gantz which is far from a masterpiece but really fun nonetheless.

I have not watched Shirobako yet, but I’ve planned to. Seems like a good time from the amount of praise you gave it. Thank you for the recommendation!

I haven’t watched a whole lot of anime this past couple of weeks to be honest. I’m behind on the seasonal stuff. But I am currently watching JoJo part 5 at the moment. Hot take but this and part 4 didn’t live up to their predecessors. Not a fan at all.

I’ve also been watching Breaking Bad pretty religiously because the show is just great. Can recommend if you haven't seen it.
