It's true. People hate it because now "nice animation = best show ever" is the standard.
You can make the biggest pile of crap, but if MAPPA is doing the animation, people are going to clap like seals.

Granted, OPM season 2 isn't glorious or anything, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

Maidenless is the one who doesn't understand that I do what I want, as I want to do it, often for my own purposes and not yours. I also just enjoy laughing at people trying to twist and find exceptions to the rules of this website. It's honestly a bit sad even if playing the devils advocate for the sake of argument and debate is fun.

Of course, I always did lean a bit towards true neutral. Kind of an edge case if anything. But if you knew me you will also understand why I'm very chaotic in reality, and every listed thing on my profile is correct about me. Don't like it? bite me.

It's about revenge on the whole kingdom, thus the name of the kingdom of ruin. I feel empathy toward the MC, having no one since childhood, then getting adopted by a witch, then she also teaching him magic too, and suddenly the king got arrogant and started killing witches who were not even threatening humanity.
However, killing a child who does not even know anything is too much. This is when the MC is wrong.
A revenge plot is usually generic for some anime.

That's the point of the first episode of The Kingdom of Ruins: the teacher of the MC got humiliated and beheaded not just in front of him but also in front of the citizens of that country.

The first episode is enough for this anime for me to get into the series, although sometimes I drop other anime after a few episodes.

The first episode is really tragic. If I'm not mistaken, I think the Kingdom of Ruin's first episode is the most tragic of any anime that I've seen so far.
