All Time Anime Classics
AnimeSpoiler
What makes an anime a classic? This is a hotly debated topic in the anime community. I've seen people argue that status as a classic is about popularity, impact, memorability, acclaim, etc. But definitions that try to analyze anime based on a series of factors too procedural and legalistic for my taste (which is funny given that I will soon be an actual lawyer).
To me, like any other piece of literature, an anime is a classic if people continue to think it has great value over time. This definition may be broad and fairly vague, but I think it reflects how people actually think of "classics." So based on that definition, these are the anime I think either already are classis or will prove themselves to be classics.
Notes: This list is a work in progress. For anime with multiple seasons, if I upload only the first season, assume that that includes all subsequent seasons. If this stack gets too large, expect a Part II. No movies for this list, but I might make another stack for movies.
