Hey, I recently finished watching Juubee-chan: Lovely Gantai no Himitsu and I thought how the show came together was so beautiful. the amount of honesty and gags in the show makes a powerful juxtaposition that also feels uncanny to me. your review on the show did such a great job of explaining the strange antics that the show does that I got so hooked into the show by episode 1. Thank you for a review you wrote over 3 years ago! This show was a blast. Oh, what is that picture of "Juubee chan review" from, did you make that?

Oh dang, I hadn't even know about "Dreaming Machine." It made for an interesting read up, as producer Masao Maruyama, a close friend of Kon's said "I’ve thought about this for five years, but what I finally realised we can’t do is let someone else take over where Kon-san left off and let someone else take up the reins. If someone else were to direct, it just wouldn’t be his film any more.”

Really awesome Paprika review! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and gripes about the film, as I could relate it to being a "bump in the road" for Satoshi Kon.
