Oh sweet! Where abouts did you go? Did you do a lot of the sightseeing there or was it a bit more laid back?
Damn, that's cool! You never get any storms here just boring rain ahah. I can see that being pretty annoying! Are you in the same season as Japan or are they like us over here? Nah not especially, most summers you can get anything from 25-30 as the highest I'd say, nothing like what you'd be seeing I suppose :)
I know what you mean! The episodes always manage to leave me in suspense! Also have you noticed how they've already had 3-4 episodes where they've cut the OP to add more content? Really loving that! Saame! I love how they're both written some really good chemistry between them.
I'm loving Kiznaiver still, it's a bit wacky what the the giant costume things and all but still manages to have some serious moments :) I'm agreemtn on the Bungou front. I'm a little lost with it to be honest, originally he couldn't control the tiger and that was his thing but now he can get parts of it to do what he wants? Also he regenerates limbs??? Not a clue what's happening. At least the supporting characters are alright!
Err, depends whether you can put up with that type of anime to be honest. Nothing has really happened, each episode is just 2 halves of different character development. It's slow, not too over the top and I quite like it. A few of the things I've seen about it just say that it's comfy and I couldn't agree more :)
Welp that's out of the window, it turns out that wasn't it's goal at all. Everyone is still alive and the show is getting worse and worse. I feel like I've invested too much time to drop it now though :(
I'm glad I started watching that! I'm enjoying it a lot right now :) Shame that it's not living up to the manga though. I keep meaning to buy a tablet so that I can read manga easily on it but there's so many other things I want/need that it keeps getting put to the bottom of the list.
I'll give it a go! I need to commit a full week to catch up on everything, I might do it this week. We'll see how it goes :)
Ahh I swear I will complete that! I've heard a lot of good stuff about that one so would really like to watch it as well!
Mhmm, the best thing about movies is that they tend to put a really consistently high amount of time into them so they do look glorious when they're done. Garden of words for example is absolutely gorgeous!
Oh man that's my favourite thing to do in winter! When I get back from work and it's already dark just watching a few episodes or a film in front of the TV with a duvet is incredible haha!
Nothing much these weekends, I've got a weekend trip to London planned in a couple weeks to see the people I play games with. Should be great! You?
Sorry about the delay! Been really busy with a load of other rubbish!
In my opinion Winter in Europe is definitely a lot better than summer! Oh yeah aren't our seasons switched? So your winter is our summer I mean. Does that mean that the summer anime season comes out in your winter? Mad that.
Haha I would totally not be able to keep up with a contiki then!
The highlights are pretty funny! It just feels like a strain to tackle a whole 30 minutes of it :) For sure!
Unfortunately I've been slacking a bit (again!) but the ones I seem most excited to keep up with are Kiznaiver, Re:Zero and Tanaka-kun. I don't think I've given Bungou Stray Dogs enough of a chance though, will make sure to catch up on it ASAP!
That would make sense! Especially now that more has been reveleaed, I'm sort of hoping they start to turn all of the 'friends' in Kabaneri as well and create a sort of super group. I think that's pretty far fetched though!
I think I'm with you on Flying Witch it's soooo slooow. I feel I'm too invested in Mayoiga to drop it now. I think I'm at a point where I dislike the characters so much that I'm looking forward to them all getting killed off. I sort of hope the creators went into it trying to create them to be hated otherwise I've just missed the entire point of the show! I totally get that! I'm gonna start dropping them soon, only keeping the stuff I really want.
I think I didn't like the look of it originally when I looked, I'll give it a shot though! No harm in it. Anything else you'd recommend?
That would've made far more sense actually! They spent a large part of the show in build up but little in actual substance, your way sounds much better!
Still yet to actually watch this though! I feel really bad because it really deserves attention! Afraid not, What's it about?
Even if you don't watch both I'd 100% give Baccano a shot. It's the more accessible of the two by a long way. It's a pretty wild ride to be honest, quite far away from any other season :)
Not particularly I normally don't like them because they end too soon/don't develop enough. What about you?
If you feel like watching a few there's:
'Giniro no Kami no Agito' - which was how I found out about anime
'Aura: Maryuuin Kouga Saigo no Tatakai' - similar to Chuuni in theme/story but a lot less comedy focused more drama-y
'Hotarubi no Mori e' - girl falls in love with spirit but they can't touch otherwise he disappears
'Hal' - Really touching story that isn't quite what it seems
Yo that's cool!!Oz looks mad from what little of seen of it :) Japan would be amazing as well. I kinda want to go to Korea (not North obviously) but I think the flights would kill me! Yup! Loads of snow if you go at the right time too! Ukraine would be cool! Isn't it a bit on a knife edge at the moment with Russia? Maybe do that in a few years haha. Nah, don't think it's for me really. Don't think I could leave for such a long time. What about you?
Yeah, you get to stay in places outside of the immediate cities or tourist traps because a lot of them are people's homes :) Yeah when I went to London with some friends we stayed in this ridiculously cool house that was on Grand Designs (British TV show, not sure whether you'd have heard of it), it only cost us about £100 for a weekend. It would've cost us about £150 in hotels so for us it was perfect!
I get that, it took me best part of half a year to finish Nichijou. Depends whether it can actually stay funny really :) Now that you mention it they are kinda similar with the setting! That's really cool! Kekkai Sensen was brilliant (once the last episode actually got released!!). Oh really? second half of 1st episode and 2nd episode were quite sadistic, hopefully it doesn't over do it. Looking forward to it though! It's a 25 episode one as well so loads of room for expansion!
Yeah I didn't get that either, it seems like a very difficult to replicate fix as well. I doubt every place they go will have a super complex set of ties and stuff!
Just saw it today and I agree with you. Not a whole lot happened really. Characters seemed rather bland as well, oh well, check back after 3 episodes I suppose!
Oh yes! There doesn't seem to be a stand out one so far but the average level is quite high.
Apparently I put that on my plan to read list! Will definitely check that out when it comes around then!
What the hell? They missed so much out! I kinda just accepted the whole hamster thing, but now I actually know the full thing it's really weak motivation in comparison! Also I'm fairly sure they omitted the whole killing his father-in-law and just made it so he died of natural causes in the anime. Wonder why they did that? That doesn't seem like something that would've been too hard to put in! Regardless, that whole thing is pretty messed up. It sounds a lot like some of Stephen King's books which would've been cool. Maybe it would've made the show less accessible though? Something else I thought about more was how little his power actually got used, maybe what 3-4 times total? Definitely felt they should've had a 24 episode season or a second season!
Damn them! At least this means we're guaranteed lots of games next season! Hopefully a whole season of them!
Yeah will do! I want to watch it all at once so that I can just concentrate on it fully :) I really enjoy the historical sorts if they're done well, but they're rarely covered at all.
Yeah exactly, I guess it just helped to set the change in tone. Also it was character building for Ranta which makes sense! Ahh Manato that was it!! Oh god yeah! I love how they didn't give up on him as well! 100% confident he wouldn't die haha.
Yeah sort of, Durarara has around 50 episodes total now. Baccano is a lot easier to get into, it's only 11 or 12 (then another 2-3 for the OVA which is pretty much mandatory as it actually gives you an ending) and there's very little messing around, it's straight into the action!
Yeah it's the first anime film that I loved to bits! I'd been waiting for about a year for it to come out so I was well and truly hyped when it finally did! I guessed it was the same lot who did The Girl Who Leapt Through Time as well but I forgot about Wolf Children! Both brilliant movies!
Nice! Where are you looking to go? There's a load of really amazing places near you isn't there? I know that feeling! Buying any place cost so much! I'm going to Porto at the end of this month, which'll be pretty fun. I really want to visit the Scandinavian countries, they look really beautiful. There's also a few places in eastern Europe that are surprisingly interesting! I dunno whether you've heard of this before but if you're looking to go away and don't really want to go to a Hotel try www.airbnb.co.uk there's some incredible places on there (and they're really cheap!). Really good if you go away with lots of people too!
Good to hear! Huh, guess they must be doing something right then haha. That's a pretty big switch up, Wow!
A few of those are on my list too! Sakamoto was really cool! Looking forward to see how they keep it going :) Bungou stray dogs was awesome too, really enjoyed it! I only watched the first half of Re: Zero (I think the first ep is a 45 min long one or something) it has a really sweet concept! Can't wait to see where they go with it!
I saw that was coming out!! Hopefully it'll be awesome! Tanaka-kun was nice, a bit slow but had some really good bits :) Mayoiga i'm less sold on, a large amount of the characters are annoying but I think they're all going to get killed off so that's cool I guess! I'd reccomend watching Koutetsujou no Kabaneri, looks a bit Attack on Titan-y in a weird cross over setting of steam power and feudal Japan. Pretty mad!
How did it end in the manga? Was it a huge difference?
For sure! I kept checking because they had like 2 episodes left for the semi-finals so I was convinced they wouldn't win because then they wouldn't have time to air the finals. I guess it's coming out in Season 3 or a film then? That's a great comparison! I was so glad they gave some of the benched players time to shine. The second year had a really cool appearance too!
I'm still midway through that! Amazing so far! Looking to finish it this week hopefully :)
Noragami was brilliant! Oh my god Grimgar!!! That was so close to being superb but it had a little too much fan service for me. I loved the way they killed Manabe (I think that's his name) off really early! Totally didn't expect it.
I watched some really cool stuff, got round to watching some things that I'd been meaning to watch for a while too. Baccano! and Bakemono no Ko were some of my favourites :) Dimension W was pretty good from last season, One Punch Man was incredible too. The end of Durarara was so good as well! Glad I watched all of that!
Glad you're doing alright :) I've been really good thanks, jobs about the same as it was haha. They've given me more to do but there's a little bit more money so I suppose I can't complain! Also doing a load of overtime so I can go on holiday/save up for a deposit on a house (scary stuff).
That's super cool! How're you finding it? That's absolutely mad! Bet that's a fair chunk of their employees huh. I suppose that's what happens when you don't treat your workers well! Did any of the people you worked with go into the same thing as you or are they all elsewhere? Ooft, at least you're not there anymore though haha.
Ehh, I try. I usually start off really gung-ho but after a few weeks it fizzles out and I end up leaving most of what I start. What about you? Not really sure to be honest, I've not really looked too deep into it. Only a couple really stand out which are 'Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge' and 'Mayoiga'. Do you have anything that you reckon would be worth watching?
I absolutely loved it!!! Kept me guessing right to the last! I loved the way his life differed between the start and the end. The trip they had to the bar in the last episode was so cool! Some of them looked to have similar coats to the ones they wore in school too, was a really nice touch :) I guess you enjoyed it as well?
Just finished this the other day, the last few episodes were unbelievable!! I'm still amazed they can make all the matches so different and exciting! (Yamaguchi finally got his time to shine as well! I've been waiting for that all along!)
What's been your favourites these past few seasons? There's been a fair few good ones it seems! :)
Yo! Real good thanks! How was yours? Also, was the near years bash as awesome as it seemed? :D Really enjoying it so far! A load of good ones seem to be coming out :o A/ZS2 was kiiiiinda disappointing :( I think mostly I was reall weirded out when he got up close to the bad guy and the bad guy sorta just stood there like "welp, no idea what to do now" 8) and then died, like that was hella weird.
Oh man so many!!! I was super surprised at how good the majority of what I'd picked out was! Let's see:
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (TV) - this was better than I expected but still not great, it seems they've got this huge cast who're all pretty samey :/ Also I was totally convinced the MC was a girl until like halfway through xD
Death Parade - Really excited for more of this! It looks like it has a tonne of potential! Also there was a little extra after the credits in case you missed it! :)
Durarara!!x2 Shou - Turns out this is being split into 3 separate mini-seasons which is weird, but a really good first episode and a whole heap of new characters which was always a really strong point of DRRR.
Koufuku Graffiti - So I knew this was based on a food manga but I didn't know it was developed by Shaft. It's like a really beautiful slice of life with a dash of Shaft and a whole load of food porn. Like seriously the food looks ridiculously delicious!!
Rolling☆Girls - The episode of this completely blew my expectations out of the water. I was thinking it was gonna be a little girls riding bikes and doing not much series but it is SOOO much more. The first episode was utterly incredible. I would seriously consider watching this one! (although people who saw the sneak previews of episode 2 and 3 said the production quality dips :( )
Tokyo Ghoul √A - They really went crazy with this!! I can't believe Kaneki straight up left! I really wanna know why he's done what e has!
I instantly dropped KanColle too, it felt like fan service for people who had played the game before. Like the bit when they were all going out into the water, it felt like they were just saying catchphrases that I assume existed in the game. I dunno, not my cup of tea :D
What's your first opinions?
Yeah! I really like the after ending bit too! Where they were all living "normal" lives again :) A good ending to the show imo :)
Aww yeah. it feels like so long since I watched an episode of it though!! Ahh I managed to catch up on it :D I'm super hyped to see the Gala! Oh yeah, Shirobako require a heck of a lot of brain power to keep up! I'm still behind on it :( I really wanna catch up though!
haha no none at all xD When he just started shooting grenades it was like wtf is going on.... Damn! I forgot about that!! That's pretty neat!!
Bleh :( that's a shame :( Hmm I still wanna give that a go but I gotta catch up then watch S1 of Kamisama Hajimemashita first!
Nice! I downloaded split the atom in the end :) It's a little bit heavier than the stuff I'm usually into but it's still really good!
Yeah I dropped a few recently (I dropped world trigger after I saw your post thingy about it being 50 eps long!!)
Oh Chaika was neat! I'm still not really sure why Niva did all the stuff like swapping sides and killing hundreds of people and then going "oh nvm actually Chaika is cool so ill be her gun instead" wasn't explained well imo. What did you think?
Heck yeah! Can't wait to go home and see people again! :D
Yup! Exactly the same for me! Seven Deadly Sins is incredible :D I would gladly watch 50 episodes of that!
Is Garo actually good? I was gonna watch it but gave up before I watched any of it. I heard Shingeki no Bahamut is incredible! Not had the time to crack on with it though :(
Aww yeah! That's the best! I remember having to do that! My old laptop used to overheat so much, I'm surprised I didn't get burnt from using it too much!
You too! I'm sure it'll be great! Nice! Will be getting those ASAP!
The biggest one for me right now is Sabaton, I dunno whether they're an actual good metal band but the lyrics are amazing. The album 'Heroes' is all about unsung heroes of war so like there's one song about a guy who saved a whole lot of people and things like that. It's really good! The other one I have by them is about King Charles of Sweden and it's all about his life and the different battles he had. Apparently all of their albums follow a specific theme it's kinda neat :D Oh nice! I really did like the music from that show! Maybe try CN:Blue, they fall under the same sorta thing and are hella good :D
Yoooo. I got hella demotivated with anime these past few weeks and basically watched very little and watched this massive pile stack up on kissanime. Was pretty tough trying to get back into it but I got my wire so I can watch them on my TV now so expect me to be more active again! Woo!
A couple of those ring a bell! Ghostfacekillah especially, I think it probably has something to do with his name :P I remember you talking about Noisia before! I meant to get one of his albums but I was in more of a metal mood at the time. It's getting towards DnB/Dubstep again though, which album would you recommend I get?
Aha I wish! I get Christmas Day and Boxing Day and New Years Day off but that's all D: I managed to get Christmas eve off too so I suppose it's still 5 days off :) What about your times?
Naice! That sounds great! I sorta wish anime like this were a bit more adult with the swearing and what not, I dunno about you but if I saw someones face come apart and turn into some giant swinging swordy things I would be swearing like a sailor!
Wow I don't recognise her at all! Even in the series I've seen her in she tends to have pretty small roles :( She was hella good in Kokkuri-san though!
Yeah that sounds about right :D Yeah I wanna go back and watch that episode where they ambush those guys in the canyon! I wanna see all the people I notice now :D
The opening is great! (that's kinda one of the main reasons I liked it so much to begin with)
Inou battle is one of the few i've kept up to date with :D I'm kinda amazed they bought those bad guys into the show them sorta left them on the bench, I mean what are we 2 episodes from the end? And they don't seem to have done anything of worth xD
Ahh my parents were really nice and managed to net me a 42 inch tv dead cheap :) It's pretty great for sure! For me at least it's more about not having to sit in a chair but being able to doss on the sofa or something :) Much nicer :) Only disadvantage is that because you're futher away from it it doesnt actually look that much bigger xD
Oh man Im SO glad it's a 20+ episode series! All the characters are amazing and the bad guys! Oh god! They're all so different! Like the dude with the tornado powers seems like a pretty chill guy all things considered!
Yeah! I cant wait for next season! there seems to be way less that I wanna watch so hopefully I wont fall so far behind xD
Really? Nice!! Totally gonna watch that one!!
Woah sweet! Who's playing at the music festival? Anyone well known? :o Oh I bet! Is christmas rough for you then? (workwise I mean). Ehh not any more than usual it seems, no one seems to be dreading it anyway so I guess it isn't too bad :D
Ahaha I heard the manga for it is hella good. I think it's quite old though (not 100% on that). Yeah :( He's changed a whole heap from the start :( That's linked to why I think Murano is so good. Like, she realised quite early on how he was changing and stuff. Series don't usually seem to do that a lot :) Maaan I have NO idea what she wanted to happen. "Oh hey guy, do you eat people? If you do can you leave then". In what world does that work xD
I really wanted the priest to go with them! I totally thought that's how it was gonna go!
Yeah it's almost over anyway so not too long to wait :D Also I got totally caught out by how fast this season has gone!!!
Yeah I wondered when it'd it happen too! I wonder if they'll do it for all the characters :o Oh really? Which VA is that?
Tomoyo is sooooooo good. I'm happy they decided to go down the route of her becoming more open about her Chuuni side, it's a pretty neat direction to go :)
I know right! The group bits are terrible! I was still hoping they might finally ditch the 2 bitchy girls but they kept them for some weird reason :S
O lawd yes! I'm up to the episode with Ban (i think thats his name) and he looks hella badass. He just straight up rips some big ass metal pole from his arm, thats kinda bonkers.
Aww I'm still a couple eps behind on that :( I just ordered a new wire so I can watch anime on my TV so I'm waiting for that to come before I watch a lot more :( Can't wait to catch back up on it!
Err just season 2, still alright though :)
Oh nice! Next season is so close! :o I still need to watch Kamisama Kiss season 1. I Will get to watching it so soon! :D
Just took a quick look and the ones that stand out to me are:
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (what the hell is that synopsis xD )
Death parade might be OK
DRRR 2 is pretty hype.
Kofuku Graffiti might be a bit weird, never seen a cooking focused anime before
I heard good things about The Rolling Girls
Tokyo Ghoul 2 as well of course :D
Winter seems quite weak this year, but at least theres a load of carry overs from autumn :)
Yo! No problem! I'm in the same boat! Completely swamped with everything that's going on right now! I can't even keep on top of it like you have xD I'm like 2-3 weeks behind on a load of stuff D:
Nothing too exciting :D Gonna go back home for Christmas then hopefully go out on new years eve with friends :) What about you?
Out of the ones i'm up to date on:
Parasyte i'm still loving :D Can't really find much wrong with it at all at the moment!
Akatsuki no Yona is shaping up better now they're actually introducing the dragon people. I'm guessing it's gonna be another 20+ episode series (theres a load of those this season :o )
Amagi has dipped a fair bit, the guy's becoming less and less likeable every week for me :(
Kokkuri-san is kinda incredible. The comedy is top tier every week. Sakamoto is the best real human being i've ever seen. 8)
Inou-battle's 8th episode had like THE best bit i've seen for a while. Hatoko's rant was crazy well done, that's easily the most impactful monologue I think I've ever seen in anime!
Log Horizon is kinda pottering along as expected. Nothing exceptional there :/
Ookami shoujo's production quality seems to have hit the floor. I don't usually notice bad quality background stuff but I'm finding them really noticeable :( Also the grey haired guy was just kinda annoying :////
Trinity Seven is still good dumb fun. Even if it is ridiculously "huh huh boobs"
Nanatsu no Taizai is a lot of fun. The episodes seem to fly by! The main guy just does not give a fuck. Like ever. I'm only 3 eps in so I've not seen too much but the spear throwing thing was nuts and the guy who cut down the whole forest was mental :D
What're you thinking so far? I remember seeing a lot of 10s when I looked at your list :o
Nahh, I don't think I can afford to pour more time into something that I might not enjoy for a while :/ I accidentally started a couple more hobbies so I'm hella strapped for time now xD
Yeah you too! I should catch up with everything soon (ish) :P
Woah! That looks incredible! Damn, I bet that was a bit of a shock for you! :D
Huh that sounds pretty simple! I might give it a go if I can find any good gifs! Yeah! I still don't know who I want to sue for my profile picture yet!
Aw I forgot to watch that! I really am going to spend all of Saturday catching up this week xD Yeah I must admit I only like the guy one or two times per episode, everyone else is just kinda weird!
Err, astoundingly funny. I thought it'd be garbage and then it started with the sex jokes and i was like EHHHH. But some of them are actually quite amusing, I find myself enjoying it more every week :) What about you?
Yeah! I'm up to ep 5 now I believe? They'd just met the island people.I'm guessing we're gonna see a freeing of the animal people and escape from Gaz's people :D Imma watch ep 6 tomorrow morning :)
Exactly! I just want him to watch more so I can talk about the cool bits! Aww really? That blows! Spoilers suck :(
Woah! That sounds great! I've only seen Spirited Away I think but it was really entertaining! I'm sure you'll love it!
Aww yeah!! Link me the album when you've finished if you wouldn't mind :)
Oh yeah! The ones with extra little stories are real nice :D
Yeah I'm not too sure how it works yet but hopefully I can get round to it ^^ Sometimes a bit yeh :D I worked this record the other day for this hotel (http://www.rigikulm.ch/?q=en/node/30) just look at those pictures! Looks absolutely stunning!
Woah! That sounds incredible! I would love one of those!
Yeah!! Hak's combat pieces are super cool especially considering it's mainly a shoujo :)
Huh nice! I'll add it to my list :) I just saw you have an animated header on anilist! That's super cool! Is there anything special you have to do for that?
Ahh nice :D Mine seems pretty solid for now, not much is changing in the series I'm watching for me. Neither good nor bad :)
Yeah I felt the same way so I had a few changes when I switched sites :) Yeah! My friend recently started TTGL and he's enjoying it heaps now :D
It's actually really cool! I'ts not really an anime though, as weird as that sounds. It seems like a very western production something more like disney/pixar than ghibli. Not to say that it's bad! There are some rpetty cool bits and the main family are quite entertaining I'm just less impressed by the supporting characters really :)
Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you! My bad! It came out in 720 a week or so ago! I'm guessing there's probably a 1080p version somewhere as well!

Either way, have a nice weekend!
