"Yeah, hiveminds on reddit and MAL suck. People start going after a show because a few say it's shit and eventually the whole community shits on it. Another good parody that gets destroyed by people missing the joke is twintails."

While I generally agree that there are shitty hiveminds on MAL and reddit, I think the particular anime you mentioned (Imouto and Twintails) are not that disliked on /r/anime. On MAL though, I wholeheartedly agree.

Its not only that I understand, but rather I don't try to dwell within the hivemind people have. If someone hates something, people tend to hate it as well purely based on the fact that others hate it. And yes, Nayu is the best girl....but Itsuki's brother on the other hand..

thanks! I'm glad there are others who feel that way too, I feel like everyone around me is hyped and actually enjoys watching it and I'm here like ???

Hey I just read your Naruto: Shippuuden review and I could't agree more. There's no plot movement and the plot twists are questionable. Not to mention everything only repeat itself; Naruto keeps preaching friends are the solution to everything. While I highly doubt that, I keep getting tired of hearing the same preach over and over again.

Anyways great review. ^^

Shounen is the most popular genre, I agree. Naruto has pissed me off lately with all the fillers they're putting in, I just want to see the war arc end already now...

I found Toradora different at the time and I did enjoy it, but when I recall it I just think "wow what a dick move that was by _____" and thats about the end of it, I never look on reddit since I dislike a lot of the people who just piss around and troll too much taking it overboard considerably, it's turning into more of a 4chan base now which is just... unpleasant.

You'll never find another anime as touching and moving as Clannad, I can vouch that to the end of days. That will be the greatest Romance anime created for a long time to come.

I couldn't get into Gintama, the first episode I watched they want to be free life pirates or something? I don't even remember it too well, just that I disliked it from the get-go really, I find comedy hard to watch now, especially real TV series since I've seen so much it's hard to just watch a show and "laugh" unless it's utterly pitiful, then all you can do is laugh or you'll go insane.

I like Shounen anime to an extent, it's usually only long running series which get my attention with Shounen, although I've only watched one episode of KHR I couldn't really get into it, a guy who gets naked for power? Okay then... although, their are some pretty decent shounen series out their besides your "big 5".

I enjoyed watching HSotD but it did get old pretty fast; reminded me of Left for Dead to be honest.

I used to enjoy harems, but then again I used to enjoy watching anime altogether but since I've now watchd a lot, I know a lot of story/plots and it either ruins it or the anime productions aren't as good for the genre's I enjoy anymore.. Slam Dunk has been pretty good to me for 40 episodes so I hope that continues though.

I enjoyed ToraDora because of how unique it was to me at the time, but now that I look back it did seem pretty repetitive and trying to be something it wasn't, but non-the-less I did enjoy it when I watched it (I don't rewatch series because I find that may ruin it for me). I think Ryuji making her cry was just for that feeling to get across of how he felt towards Taiga and how it all worked out, it made sense at the time :P but it wasn't cool to her.

It's so hard to find good shows now though, I read reviews to see how they get on but so many people just make troll reviews and it kinda pisses me off when I want to look for something decent, even though my planned list is 100+ I just don't feel like watching any of it right now :/.

I enjoy watching Harem's from start to finish, I started with them when I started Romance, so it's got that feel to it for me although their isn't many 'great' harem shows, people judge IS: Infinite Stratos, which could of had an amazing story and plot but that isn't what the producers cared about, fan service, same as DxD and a lot about Highschool of the Dead. They're all good shows, depending what you like.

Not many people I speak to in real life know I watch anime except certain people from University and family, but I'm pretty open about it anyway but a lot don't like anime who I speak to :P.

I did like ToraDora though. Taiga was my favourite character for the tsundere act

Yeah, that was the only part which really disgusted me with SAO.

I found they all wanted to be with him, and my own opinion is I didn't really like Asuna, I loved Silica and Pina (Girl with dragon)

I hated Girls Bravo, never got too far through My Bride is a Mermaid to be honest, my most hated Harem is Shuffle though, I hate every character which is very rare of any anime for me.
Malteasers Feb 13, 2014 9:34 AM
SAO had tentacle rape (not like physically but the scene was more rapey than normal and tentacles) I don't remember it in the Kiss x Sis OVA though. I thought SAO was already harem styled just from the first Arc myself.

Malteasers Feb 13, 2014 9:20 AM
That movie was so remarkable I forgot I watched it.

I've seen a lot of weird things in anime, heck, I've watched a lot to begin with so it doesn't bother me as much; it explains itself. Kiss x Sis is worse or along them lines.

as soon as the tentacle rape crap came out, I was just put off that arc, the girls or fanservice didn't bother me but tentacles creep me out beyond a level.

Log Horizon is only similar in genre, it's a completely different story which seems to have been orchestrated perfectly. (did try hard to not ruin it their!)

Yeah, my Uni work is just rediculous right now and I'm moving home, so I've had to cut down a lot on what I'm watching, even though I have been trying to get as much in so I don't fall behind on my airing eps.
Malteasers Feb 8, 2014 2:11 AM
SAO could of been one of the 'big 5' if it had better pacing.

What Movie?

It can't be incest if they're not blood-related, it was weird but if you lived with someone for a long time and suddenly lost them you feel all these 'weird' things appearing, then he comes back? I kinda understand her viewpoint although I found it creepy.

Hack was slow, the first was awful. Log Horizon is one of my favourite short running anime also.

Season 2 in the manga is awesome. Guns and swords? What more could a fanbase ask for? Maybe some good voice acting and unrushed episodes would also be nice, but the theme it has is nice.

~Sorry for the late reply.

SAO was far too rushed and under-developed, 13/12 episodes for a season of such a big franchise and genre is just stupid, //Hack spent 25 episodes for one season and even that wasn't enough. Asuna came in too fast for him to fall in love after Sachi's death. Personally, Sachi's death was the most horrible and heart throbbing thing I witnessed in SAO which put me close to breaking down although I did shed a tear.

SAO wasn't incest in the 2nd half of the season; they were adopted sister/cousin.

It was a good story, but it was very half-hearted, the producers must of thought "Lets make 5 decent episodes then turn this into trash and watch all the viewers crumble in the second arc". When the Aincrad arc finished, SAO fell into a pool of it's own pitiful horse crap.

I did watch all of it; and I think it only got so much criticism because of how it tumbled down and got so much worse than when it started, but the second arc was horrific, it turned into some perverted stalker/kidnapping crap which was unnecesary to begin with

Well, it wasn't a bad review and their are other good MMORPG anime out their in //hack and Log Horizon with a few others.
Have fun watching.
