Hey I read your review of Suijin no Hanayome, and I feel exactly the same way as you in regards to the ending. It was shaping up to be one of my favourite shoujo series but the last volume dropped the ball. This sort of finale was exactly what I feared. Even though I was expecting a happy ending with Asahi and Water Dragon God getting together (its a shoujo manga for teen girls after all), I was still surprised by how forced it felt. Everything worked out too perfectly and it leaves many questions unanswered. It makes me wonder if the author had this ending in mind since the beginning or if it was a result of editor influence.
