I'd say it's a good read. Onto the good points, it has nice art (I love the sceneries - very atmospheric), characters with clear line of reasoning and the pacing is just right, not dragging on with repetitive course of action. The plot just progresses forward from one scene to another.
One thing definitely kinda bugs me (which might be personal opinion) is that the attitude and resolution towards the teacher incident feel a bit unnatural. The characters (high school students) talk and have thoughts and resolve problems like an example straight out of the civics coursebook. It feels like the author is trying to
...
sound a bit too moralistic and righteous. Like as if the characters (especially the side character) are claiming the moral high ground all at once without an intermediary space. It's not necessarily a downside. Nor I'm downplaying the deed. Just something that sticks out to me.
While the chemistry between the two main characters are okay-ish for most of the story, that is, boyish bantering to show their emotions, the last few chapters are crazily moving. What's with the bomb-ass ending chapters? I can't grasp why the monologue and the inner turmoil and emotional torment suddenly get so spine-chillingly good nearing the end, haha, almost poetic without trying too hard.
Overall, a very considerate manhwa that is worth considering for a change of pace.

An underrated school life BL with no reviews? Not on my watch!
I won't sugarcoat things and elevate this story into something it isn't. This BL is basically an established relationship between Terano, a charismatic model student with an amorous streak for his deliquent-looking lover, Kumazaki. Both are good-looking and have crazy physique for high-schoolers and are passionately in love so if you don't mind that, you're good to go.
The strength of this manga must include the clear, crisp art style that is pleasing to the eye. Part of the story also retells how the two met and agreed into a relationship which is reasonable
...
with the right pacing and no exaggeration. I also enjoy the characterization of both characters, and their course of action also aligns well with their personality. There is slight misunderstanding but it successfully does its job and progresses the plot towards something satisfying. Obviously, the steamy scenes are extremely well done, it's hot, it has communication, it has the right length and elaboration - could not ask for more in this respect.
What a school life BL is meant to deliver, it delivers. So it's a nice choice for those who wanna take a fresh break from BL with heavy psychology, trigger warning tags. Overall, "Terano-kun to Kumazaki-kun" is a light-hearted read that leaves you full.

This story is about two musicians in the same choir being friends with benefits (and more).
Normally, this type of plot will entail lots of sex scenes, like sex for sex's sake kind of story. But this story takes a different route. That's something I quite enjoy about Sumiya Zeniko's stories - they don't emphasize the sex scenes (literally no lightsabers are in sight) but rather the emotional development and chemistry between the two characters.
I also really like the musical theme in this story. The characters play music and connect through music so it is a relevant theme that elevates the story rather than
...
a mere excuse or background music for the characters to go at it. I can see the real passion that the characters harbor for music from a realistic pov. I believe the author must also take a liking to the artistic profession since their characters will always be involved in one of the three sectors: literary - music - art, which happens to be my preference as well so *fistbump*
The contrast in personality and gap moe between the uke and seme is also another strength that Zeniko does skilfully. I'm a simple-minded person so I like characters who are straightforward with their thoughts and beliefs, which in this case, they do. I can follow their line of reasoning and find it satisfying to see how their actions bear fruits.
One thing that cannot be omitted when reviewing this story and other works by Zeniko is facial expressions. Despite the "moe" kind of art style, their expressions are well-drawn and lively so I can totally see the attraction they have for each other.
Overall, this is a great example of how to do "breathing exercises" with your fellow bandmate.

So obviously this is a runaway story between a sheltered kid and a suspicious man.
Suppose you find it interesting to make an escape from lousy daily life where nobody gets you, jumping from train to train, and waking up next to a kind stranger in different hotels. In that case, this story is perfect to indulge in your fantasy because it ticks all the boxes in a pleasant way.
A relationship between an adult and a minor has always been a grey area so all I can say is that the author managed to portray Hirose as a gentle and warm person which compensates
...
for his relationship with Hajime.
But if you are a person whose sense of logic and reasoning can sometimes be a bit jarring (like me), then there are still some parts of the plot that don't sit right. It just swirls the tone of the story to a pinky, jolly dimension where none of the problems would have existed in the first place.
But overall, "Sayonara Kyouhansha" is quite a decent read and can safely exclude itself from stories with shallow plots.

Don't be put off by the first few chapters! It gets better and more wholesome as the plot progresses. The vibe just completely shifts into a feel-good story very soon so readers should push through the bitter opening chapters to enjoy the sweet taste later.
The premise is simple but I think the author took extra care with it rather than rushing things to create a story that comfortably extends to 20 chapters without being dull.
The characters also get more and more likeable than they are in the beginning. As Emu opens his heart to Fukutomi, he gets cuter as well, and the sanpaku
...
eyes that used to be intimidating just soften with time. And well well well, the interaction between Emu and Fukutomi is worth the wait! Very satisfying. The drama is also neatly done. Working to pay off debts is nothing to be happy about but the working experience Emu is kinda uplifting to read.
Totally vouch for this story for anyone who needs a positive push in life or at least, it's hopeful enough to drag one out of the dull reality, even if it's just for 20 chapters. I know we don't easily get as lucky as Emu to get our life problems resolved so I enjoy getting immersed in the rags-to-riches story once in a while (while manifesting one for myself lol).

Overall, it's a great mystery manga. The leading in the first few chapters is amazing and keeps you reading, only to open up more layers. The story is able to remain consistent with what it sets out to be.
The art is more stunning as we go on and the stylization really brings out the distinct personality traits of each character in their own ups and downs.
But if I have to nitpick, then it's about how laying plot twist after plot twist kinda takes away some element of realism. I understand some are for misleading purposes and they blend in the plot well, but it
...
feels a bit forced that every single character has an ulterior motive and deranged execution.
But the highlight for me is the portrayal of humanity within the cold-hearted Hachinoi who is clouded by revenge. The subtle hint of his distraught on knowing about Youko's death shows his vulnerability without being over the top. This makes his character far greater than a one-dimensional brute or edgy boy.
Most mystery manga have a great knack for concluding a stance on moral issues and this is no exception; the ending chapter definitely leaves me with a nice aftertaste that might linger for a while.

A wholesome manga that gives rare insights into the inner workings of a public library!
"Zeikin de Katta Hon" is a slice-of-life about passionate librarians who are very committed to their work at a public library. We first follow the footsteps of a delinquent into a library where he would work as a librarian and regain his love for book reading. With an episodic approach, each chapter introduces us to new perspectives from a variety of book readers who frequent the said library.
It's a light-hearted story but not without its own charm. I was most impressed with the detailed explanation of the job responsibilities that
...
entail. I have always wondered about the line of work in the library so this manga kinda resolves that for me. It is also particularly helpful as a reference for fictional works related to the library.
The main characters working at the library are at heart kind people, and the joy of reading is well delivered in the stories. While the appearance of the main character is like a funny-looking dinosaur, the girls in this manga have very cute, dropsy eyes!! And other characters, especially the customers, have diverse designs so it doesn't get boring.
Overall, "Zeikin de Katta Hon" is a pleasant story to read while lazing around.

Judging by the cover, I didn't expect this to be anything more than the common BL trope with circumstances leading up to the "And then they fucked" moment.
Well, technically, it's still the case. But the mangaka really went the extra mile to carve out diverse facial expressions and the characters are really wholesome (and handsome). So despite the pretty much generic plot, you will find yourself invested in the story and watch out for each and every nuance of their feelings being full-on displayed through telltale gestures.
And it only gets better when you get to more intimate scenes. I'm saying this as someone
...
who has sifted through tons of BL (mid and gold alike) and the in-bed interaction in "Amaetai Kemono" is just that good to get me hooked. It's really a lovers' talk for a reasonable amount of time which is neither dragged out nor abrupt. It's just perfect for readers to process the details they are seeing with attention.
That being said, this is a fairly light-hearted story with no dramatic events so for some, it might just be a story with nothing to write home about. But if you're looking for a hot read with a clear dedication to character design, expressions, angles, and communication, you should definitely head for "Amaetai Kemono" - satisfaction guaranteed.

This manga is suitable for those who want a light read to kill time because it is pretty short and simple
It's a typical story about 2 office workers who are quite at odds with each other. They kinda fight but not in an annoying way and are quite mature in their behavior.
It is underrated how the author manages to carve out 2 main characters with different sides of their personality without making it contradictory (the guy is good-natured but a bit high-and-mighty, the girl looks plain at first but can be quite quirky and inventive). The characters feel exactly like your colleagues and classmates
...
in real life who you may care or may not care. They are just normal human beings with their unexpected good and bad sides.
The art is clean and neat. The design of the ML is actually really good - it clearly shows that he is really good-looking but the FL is a bit too plain (this is another minus that drags the story down) - the ML and FL don't look like they are in the same story and it affects their chemistry which is usually a selling point. The romantic progression is another downside. The genre is romance but nothing romantic happens between them (no hugs, no kisses, no sudden flare of desire...) The ending is too abrupt and just offers the readers no gratification - after all the waiting, they just water some plants together!!? Their being together isn't different from when they are colleagues. The story needs more spice.
But overall, it is a decent read and I don't think it deserves such a low score just because it's a bit safe. It is even offensive how manga with outrageously touchy, disrespectful guys got better reception than this. I know there's no point in comparing stories and preference like that but well, I think it is a bit unfair.

This is the most realistic portrayal of the trope "delinquent boy and bullied girl" I have ever read. If you enjoy elements of realism then you should definitely check this out. The interaction and chemistry between the main characters are really similar to how real-life people would do while still keeping the sweet taste of high school love.
I have always found manga of the similar trope so sugarcoated - like how the delinquent boy will always have such a clean look (their edginess is just from their piercings, which isn't much) and their personality is like bubbly, golden sunshine with some ocassional fighting scene
...
1 vs 10 or sth like that. Or either they are too aggressive, like putting on a show to convince readers that yeh this guy is a delinquent.
But the ML here just ticks all the boxes. He IS a delinquent, looks rough and has a clear background of how he becomes a delinquent. Plus, his progression with the FL is natural (He is not forcing himself on her). For the FL, she is bullied for her incompetence so my problem with her is that she hasn't shown much character development. In one chapter, she did try to study better in order not to ruin the score of a groupwork activity but we never get to see the result of it. This makes the readers feel like the FL isn't trying at all - she doesn't defend herself, she doesn't try to gain respect from her schoolmates through her academic improvement.
That being said, the two main characters still have great chemistry and they really are what a caring and healthy couple would look like so far. It's refreshing too, because its tone isn't a rose-tinted spectacles - it reflects social issues in Japanese while giving hope through their romantic relationship, that they've got each other back.
The art isn't a strong point of this manga - I guess that's why it doesn't receive much attention despite its good plot and dialogues. I really enjoy this series content-wise so I really hope the author would keep working on it.... It was released in 2019 yet there are only 4 chapters.....
