Preliminary (27/? chp)
This story is about two musicians in the same choir being friends with benefits (and more).

Normally, this type of plot will entail lots of sex scenes, like sex for sex's sake kind of story. But this story takes a different route. That's something I quite enjoy about Sumiya Zeniko's stories - they don't emphasize the sex scenes (literally no lightsabers are in sight) but rather the emotional development and chemistry between the two characters.

I also really like the musical theme in this story. The characters play music and connect through music so it is a relevant theme that elevates the story rather than a mere excuse or background music for the characters to go at it. I can see the real passion that the characters harbor for music from a realistic pov. I believe the author must also take a liking to the artistic profession since their characters will always be involved in one of the three sectors: literary - music - art, which happens to be my preference as well so *fistbump*

The contrast in personality and gap moe between the uke and seme is also another strength that Zeniko does skilfully. I'm a simple-minded person so I like characters who are straightforward with their thoughts and beliefs, which in this case, they do. I can follow their line of reasoning and find it satisfying to see how their actions bear fruits.

One thing that cannot be omitted when reviewing this story and other works by Zeniko is facial expressions. Despite the "moe" kind of art style, their expressions are well-drawn and lively so I can totally see the attraction they have for each other.

Overall, this is a great example of how to do "breathing exercises" with your fellow bandmate.
