The main difference between the two shows is in Kokoro Connect, the characters seemingly have no control over their abilities while the characters in Charlotte somewhat have control over their powers. Both shows have a similar feeling and give you a similar experience and both rely heavily on the drama and emotional aspects.

Both shows take you on a journey throughout the mysterious worlds while contemplating on the meaning of death and living/survival. If you're looking for something almost as captivating as Made in Abyss, this may be somewhat similar though Made in Abyss has an overall darker tone to it. Both shows are emotional drama.

Mahoutsukai is more magical and Made in Abyss focuses on exploration and adventure.

Though Kobayashi has a heavier fantasy feel to it (think Dragons) and Flying Witch feels more of a Slice of Life show. Comedy in both are also pretty light but funny nonetheless.

Both are Slice of Life shows with a relaxing, laid-back vibe. Yuru Camp is a group of cute girls camping and basically doing just that. Flying Witch is about a witch doing ordinary things that the average person would do every day, except for that part that she's a witch doing magic and flying around town on a broomstick, of course. Both shows have a beautiful background setting and a nice soundtrack that makes the viewer feel immersed in the show.

If you loved K-On!, you'll probably enjoy Hanayamata.
