This is my profile, consisting of what I'm watching and my opinions on anime I've seen.
MAL elitists who pledge their superior taste are everywhere on the forums. They drop mainstream anime, popular anime, and even underrated anime to make themselves stand out but it just makes them look like fools.
Common Symptoms of this include:
1. Calling something "fanservice" with little to none of it at all.
2. Rating a popular anime (8+), below a 7 and call it overrated.
3. Favorite characters and anime nobody has every heard of and call it a "hidden gem"
4. Reviews always consist of a score ranging from 1 - 5 and often create criticism that doesn't exist, essentially making their review sound smart when really it's just nonsense.
5. Drops amazing titles that almost nobody would be able to actually drop (Steins;Gate, NGE, ect).
Sure, you're allowed to dislike something that is popular, but don't make it too common and start reviewing everything you dislike. At that point, your troll becomes very obvious.
Score Baseline
I have a standard baseline that a look too when watching:
1. Character
2. Story
3. Sound
4. Art
5. Enjoyment
6. Goal
Everything here is self-explanatory, except for "Goal" that reason being I feel is too important to leave out. It is important to understand what the goal of the anime was. Was it to scare you? To leave you dying to see the next episode? What exactly is it trying to accomplish? If a clear understanding is made and a specific goal is set for the anime you must give it credit, and learn to accept that goal and see if that makes you enjoy it. Change your perspective, do anything you can so that you can understand. This unique type of criticism would allow you to watch things you wouldn't, and press onward to new anime you haven't seen. It is strongly recommended that you also should try, looking for the goal.
-Due to the excessive amount of troll users, I've decided to move away from this site, in favor of others that actually moderate their reviews and forms.
"it's not okay to spread false information within a review, that's what I actually care about."
so you call a opinion which you don't agree with false information. lol how conceited and arrogant.
i could go into detail to every argument you mensioned to my review but it boils down to the fact that you cannot deal with others view.
for example that the relationship between sakuta and mai is pure fanservice. it's not in the way like ecchi or so but in the way that everybody who can identifiy themselves or symphazise with him get a good looking famous cut girl, which every weeb and lowkey loser anime watcher will enjoy because sakuta is representive for them. to me this shitty superficial plot aromred relationship is pure fanservice and trash. if you don't agree, well than don't but dont call it false information.
maybe you should read my review again und try to understand it.
didn't read further than the first three paragraphs of your comment. my review is just my personal opinion. some people may agree and some may disagree but if you cannot deal with negative opinion about something you like, you shouldn't read other opinions.
and wow i'm not an elitist hahahah. i can enjoy every kind of anime and laugh about every stupid and unfunny joke. but bunny girl is the most unfunny anime besides naruto. i don't need deep philosophical or intellectual content in anime nor i expect something of an anime when starting watching it. bunny girl senpai is in my mind just shit in every aspect. when you enjoy and like it than it might be like this. i don't. deal with. or cry. or text me another 1000 page long novel.
i see, thanks for commenting,
none of any anime has made me piss off than bitchigo so yeah what's your problem? xD i don't care :v
also there are many people posted about hate bitchigo as well so please go to comment all those people's post as what you you told me here
Than I definitely have to give Higurashi another shot. In general I am usually just overwhelmed by the amount of entertainment available at the press of a button, ranging from movies to anime, manga and video games, which leads to me dropping shows very quickly whenever they lose my interest for a second.
I do understand that these shows are loved by many, but I have simply lost interest in them. In the case of "Erased" I simply read the manga, which is held in higher regards anyways, so I saw no point in watching the rest of the show. I gave up on Death Note after the death of L, because imo the show declined in quality quite a bit afterwards. Regarding Higurashi, I have always wanted to like the show, but couldn't get into it due to the somewhat slow start. Lastly, Code Geass; I just do not care. No special reason or anything, I simply lack interest. The overall problem with all of these is that they are anime, and not manga, which is my preferred form of entertainment because it allows me to enjoy the story at my own pace.
Regardless, I might just get back into Higurashi, if I ever give up reading poorly written Isekai trash.
btw mfw your biggest problem with erased was kayo cucking instead of nonsensical villain...That dropped my score from 9...Because unlike kayo scene it was directly related to the plot and nullified whole mystery buildup till the finale...
I like the way you watch anime. Yeah, a good anime could easily turn to a bad one in the ending and vice versa. One ep could make the change (a.k.a. "the saved"). Just drop a thumb up in your profile :)
I disagree with that. I think it's very helpful to let people know the good and the bad of a show even when it's airing. Clearly I'm not the only who thinks that way since a lot of people make early reviews for seasonal anime and even more people find them helpful. Why is it acceptable for people to review shows they like in a positive way, but it's wrong to criticize negatively? Even though it hasn't finished airing, it doesn't take from the fact that Eromanga has done a lot wrong. It may somewhat correct some of my criticisms as it airs (which I find unlikely), but for now it is justifiable to judge it by what I have seen.
Also, thanks for the feedback. I like your favorites btw.
Pretty late comment but yeah, I just realized now that Sakura Trick isn't my type of anime. No idea why I would even watch Yuri when im a fan of stuff like thriller, sci-fi and shounen/actiony type genre. I was just bashing it cause it was completely outmatched by the entertainment level of other anime I've seen. But ofc it wouldn't be very entertaining to me cause I rarely watch Yuri.
Also I watched it back when I was barely a teen just watching whatever anime came out each season xD
so my literal thought of it when I was also seeing things like Attack on Titan or Kill la Kill was easily "shit."
NOTE: Akame ga Kill! should have fully adopted to the manga. Seems like the writers wanted some cliche change and decided to do something that wasn't necessary. If you read/watch both the anime and manga you'll understand what I mean.
Iizbakaokay said: You can never be completely sure. It's better to ask around people what series you're looking for and they'll guide you to correct places usually. Sites with collections of LNs are obviously more popular though.
Well, I'm looking for a complete full set of Volumes for Date a Live. With translations to English, but I can manage if it's Japanese.

I don't know if I'll find another Mr. Grimmer, honestly. One's enough for now though.
