‘Anime is a Japanese term for hand-drawn or computer animation. The word is the abbreviated pronunciation of "animation" in Japanese, where this term references all animation.
Anime is a diverse art form with distinctive production methods and techniques that have been adapted over time in response to emergent technologies. It consists of an ideal story-telling mechanism, combining graphic art, characterization, cinematography, and other forms of imaginative and individualistic techniques.
The production of anime focuses less on the animation of movement and more on the realism of settings as well as the use of camera effects, including panning, zooming, and angle shots. Being hand-drawn, anime is separated from reality by a crucial gap of fiction that provides an ideal path for escapism that audiences can immerse themselves into with relative ease. Diverse art styles are used and character proportions and features can be quite varied, including characteristically large emotive or realistically sized eyes.’
In an era of computer-generated, cookie-cutter anime with bland characters and tropey stories, it is of utmost difficulty to find something worth watching. Elaborate dialogue and proper characterization are out, broad but shallow stories and simple plot are what's bring in the money. Cliché becomes the standard. This is a fact. Sure, some of them are still fun, but which of them delivered a rich dramatic story that offered anything more than raw sensory stimulation?
Under the veneer of success, all is not so well in the anime industry. Big corporations moved in on the studio carcasses. The new investors came from anywhere but show business; and it shows. Nowadays, anime is mass produced and has been relegated to the ranks of promotional material rather than an artistic medium of its own. Corporations hate risk and anime can't be made without it, especially the good ones. Writers become uninspired and animators are overworked. This led to mediocre adaptations, rather than genuine work of art, becoming the norm. The medium is now a haven of politics, pandering and unbridled pretentiousness in the name of craft.
Why do you still watch anime then? Maybe I fell for the trap of addiction or maybe I am driven by the naivety to find a work of outstanding artistry in this pile of thrash?
But I digress, every person has his/her own preferences and tastes. Indeed, that's all fine.

How I feel about most Manhwa:
I listen mainly to Classical music (whether Western, African or Asian), Opera, Orchestral pieces and World music. Feel free to add me.
Finally someone who understands the major global issues that plague this century. The Hollywood-endorsed, political propaganda of corporations has made so many victims already. Money dictates the rules yet it has no inherent value. We’re living a lie. The actually valuable currencies like gold are hoarded by the malicious elite. It’s great to see that there are still rational thinkers in this world.
I know it's late reply but i just have to say this:
