Scoring System
10 - The most enjoyable content there is
A series that has moved me or affected me in some way. Or it just excells in one aspect so much that its weaknesses become negligible in comparison.
9 - Close to the best but JUST not there
A pretty goddamn great anime. Either very close to perfect but not quite because of a few flaws or just really, really fun.
8 - Pretty friggin good. Really enjoyed this.
A great anime. Nothing extraordinary but worth a watch or two, definitely.
7 - Enjoyable stuff; if flawed.
Good anime. Flawed in many aspects but quite fun nonetheless.
6 - Just above averge. Somewhat enjoyable but mostly boring.
Fine. The meh category. Some of the series may have excellent aspects but possess some flaws so huge that it makes the overall package quite mediocre.
5 - Average. Boring for a majority of the runtime.
Does nothing special on any front. Slighly below average. Or has like 1 great 'arc' and plenty of shit arcs.
4 - Below average. Very boring.
Not good. Either just boring or not fun. Or bad writing/characters.
3 - Boring and crap.
Pretty damn terrible.
2 - Absolute turd.
Complete Shit.
1 - Cancerous.
Run away.
Haven't given out any 1 or 2 yet. Some of my ratings are extremely biased, though. Usually the 9s and 10s.

But honestly? This has a much superior social aspect, which is one of the only reasons I'm on it - recommendations are super easy to find, for one (especially because users can recommend animes similar to the anime you're currently going through, and people can even upvote the recommendations).
That's so useful, I don't even know where to start. :P
I'm watching FLCL right now and just trying to catch up with my list. Haven't really looked at the ones airing this season, but I'm sure there's a good one or two! How about you? Anything good recently?
Gintama is a very special anime. It's easier to hate than to love it and that's why it is all the more sweet to those who actually fell in love with it. I remember it took me a lot of patience to actually start enjoying the anime, but when I did, it simply became incomparable with other anime, be them long running or short running.
The plot everyone seeks for in the anime has always been there, just not too apparent unlike majority of other anime out there. Sorachi is a master of story-telling. How many times have we revisited the same scene but in segments? Some of the greatest pieces of Gintama for example are Shiroyasha standing on the rain, impossible to distinguish the tear from the rain, a past he needed to atone by himself, or may be the one that showed Gintoki in the graveyards when he first met Otose. How many times have we visited that part? The Otose Cat-talk in the first season (episode 192) was the real glimpse of Gintoki's past. It was revisited in the four devas arc and then most recently in Shinigami arc. And all that connect to the SA and finally the FS arc. And then, these episodes are connected through Mitsuba arc involving the shinsengumi, the dedication towards Kondo goes far back, episode 7 I assume when Hijikata went to avenge Kondo's humiliation by Gintoki, stuff like that.
It's impossible to separate Gintama episodes. They are all connected through the characters and their experiences, they evolve, and move on, but under the cloak of comedy, they often go unnoticed.
Sent friend's.
I've seen about twice as much anime as you, one of my favourite films is a Miyazaki, and I'm yet to see a majority of Ghibli's library. I'm going to have to dedicate an entire month to watching them or something. That might be something we could actually do at a similar time.
Dunno about Bones, Concrete Revolutio seems pretty cool but they haven't put out a lot of stand out series in recent years for me. I know you're a fan of Noragami. Think I agree with you on Madhouse though, their stuff has been good recently. I hadn't read the OPM manga but I can tell that this anime adaptation is good, I love that it has it's own opening as opposed to some generic pop-rock song. Whilst I wasn't massive on Parasyte I did enjoy the ride.
Ushio no Tora is something I'm really looking forward for. Oldskool battle manga adapted by a studio that give their material some love, wonderful.
