Yes, had a look, the look is super. xD
But honestly? This has a much superior social aspect, which is one of the only reasons I'm on it - recommendations are super easy to find, for one (especially because users can recommend animes similar to the anime you're currently going through, and people can even upvote the recommendations).
That's so useful, I don't even know where to start. :P

I've had to stop visiting TVTropes lately for this sole reason, couldn't resist the urge to stop by SnK's page whenever I scrolled. Can't wait for the final season. ;-;

Of course, not one season of SnK deserves anything less - a masterpiece in every sense of the word!

More like beginning to re-use it since I plan to rewatch all the good stuff I've watched (bio says it all, really), along with more esoteric ones, and MAL's a good place to log it. :P

The only thing about DMC is that it's tough for me to recommend it to my friends without them thinking that I'm crazy, hahaha. Maybe I'll just have to .. sacrifice them to satan ;P. *plays guitar with teeth*

I'm watching FLCL right now and just trying to catch up with my list. Haven't really looked at the ones airing this season, but I'm sure there's a good one or two! How about you? Anything good recently?

I told one of my friends to make some gifs from the anime, so now I just post them randomly to people on discord. It's fricken hilarious (^v^)The anime was a pleasant surprise for sure. Also, I don't remember tbh, haha. Sometimes I just browse profiles to look at people's favorites/recs and I guess I stumbled upon yours somehow :P

Hey there, I saw that you gave Detroit Metal City a 10 ^_^. What did you enjoy most about the anime? I loooved the humor in it.

No worries about the last time. It happens from time to time.

Gintama is a very special anime. It's easier to hate than to love it and that's why it is all the more sweet to those who actually fell in love with it. I remember it took me a lot of patience to actually start enjoying the anime, but when I did, it simply became incomparable with other anime, be them long running or short running.

The plot everyone seeks for in the anime has always been there, just not too apparent unlike majority of other anime out there. Sorachi is a master of story-telling. How many times have we revisited the same scene but in segments? Some of the greatest pieces of Gintama for example are Shiroyasha standing on the rain, impossible to distinguish the tear from the rain, a past he needed to atone by himself, or may be the one that showed Gintoki in the graveyards when he first met Otose. How many times have we visited that part? The Otose Cat-talk in the first season (episode 192) was the real glimpse of Gintoki's past. It was revisited in the four devas arc and then most recently in Shinigami arc. And all that connect to the SA and finally the FS arc. And then, these episodes are connected through Mitsuba arc involving the shinsengumi, the dedication towards Kondo goes far back, episode 7 I assume when Hijikata went to avenge Kondo's humiliation by Gintoki, stuff like that.

It's impossible to separate Gintama episodes. They are all connected through the characters and their experiences, they evolve, and move on, but under the cloak of comedy, they often go unnoticed.

This ain't the first time, haha. You dropped a comment on my profile 2 years back. ;)

Sent friend's.

Nah mate, had so many hours at work recently that I've not been watching much and what I have has mostly been episodic comedy stuff. Put Gintama on hold so I can marathon the arc in full, looking forward to that.

By my own standards I've been going a bit slowly over the past year, I miss marathoning a couple of series every week. I do still try to watch a couple of eps a day though, has been a lot of pokemon before bed recently.

I've seen about twice as much anime as you, one of my favourite films is a Miyazaki, and I'm yet to see a majority of Ghibli's library. I'm going to have to dedicate an entire month to watching them or something. That might be something we could actually do at a similar time.

Dunno about Bones, Concrete Revolutio seems pretty cool but they haven't put out a lot of stand out series in recent years for me. I know you're a fan of Noragami. Think I agree with you on Madhouse though, their stuff has been good recently. I hadn't read the OPM manga but I can tell that this anime adaptation is good, I love that it has it's own opening as opposed to some generic pop-rock song. Whilst I wasn't massive on Parasyte I did enjoy the ride.

Ushio no Tora is something I'm really looking forward for. Oldskool battle manga adapted by a studio that give their material some love, wonderful.

So, how 'bout them animes?
walktheplank Oct 20, 2015 3:14 AM
lel, nah. That's great but not why. See my most recent posts on Pokey's MAL page.

I love you.
