〜 Hi there! Welcome to my profile page! 〜

I'm TestyOtaku, but feel free to just call me Testy. Or TSF, which is a name I've used for about as long as I've had any social media presence. Funnily enough, that acronym is also taken by a certain someone from Himouto! Umaru-chan.. And erm.. a hentai title..

Like most, I started my anime journey with the likes of Pokémon and Ghibli movies. Later on, somewhere in my early to mid teens, I got more immersed in the medium and started actively searching for more anime to watch. Anime from that era of my life include shows such as Kanon (2006), Elemental Gelade and Soul Eater, all three of which I have fond memories of.

Over the years, I've grown to enjoy nearly every genre. About anything goes depending on my mood. One day I could be craving for a deep and serious psychological thriller, and the next, a slice-of-life filled to the brim with some good ol' anime moe. What often makes or breaks an anime for me are the characters. As long as I find the characters relatable or otherwise entertaining, you could throw them into the dumbest plots and have some trash-tier art direction, and I'd probably still enjoy it.. to some degree anyway.

I'm not a very avid manga reader, as you can see from the size of my list. I prefer my entertainment in colour, animated and accompanied by music. That said, I do still read manga every now and then. I tend to focus on more obscure series that haven't yet been adapted to animated form. Though I do make exceptions. Also, my manga list is more up-to-date on AniList, thanks to their larger library of recent and fairly obscure web manga.
