If you still want to know - Yup, Midori got one h-scene, I was really surprised when it happened. Mio also got one with two new CGs. Both were really weak though, in my opinion.

And yeah, I completed first route of the Harvest Festa recently. I'm definitely not fluent with Japanese though! I played it mostly because Kotarou is voiced in this version, it makes visual novel much easier to get through :) I wouldn't start Rewrite for example, given how much of pure text is there.

It's still possible for HF to have hints, but I too think the chances are small. But I'm sure, that if someone would analyse the whole game again, thus, after finishing the game and replaying it from start right after the first playthrough you would find more hints... Only that, nobody tries to reread everything again.

Such small details like Kotarou talking about being a "sail" connects to the sail from the boat in the lyrics from the ED...

This part is very difficult to discuss I guess. I am confinced the sail is Kotarou. But the mast, it could be Kagari I guess. I was thinking of that in the comments, as you saw. But I also agree with Naoki-Saten "I doubt Kagari is going anywhere. She's the Earth's familiar, or, depending on your standpoint, the earth itself. I don't think she can leave the Earth."

But I'm sure that the "Mother tree" is Kagari. Because the trees represent the people in this world, the mother of those people is definitely Kagari. She is the mother of Earth.

The questions are: why did they need to cut down the mother tree (Kagari/Kotarou's tree)? Is it so she could come with them to the new world (don't think so), or is it because they couldn't even go to the new world, without her being cut down, whatever reason there is.

Well thank you! Did you read my full analysis on the lyrics? Though it became a small discussion with different findings, I hope it wasn't too confusing. It's great to see so much plot only in some lyrics, huh? Of course, it's confusing because the lyrics aren't representing the scenes in the ending.

I hope this gives you more closure to the story. It did for me, and I was highly excited when discovering this. ^^

Try to pay attention on the storytelling in this video, it's awesome! It shows every route, and the way the creator shows moon and terra is magnificent.

Lain is too deep and a very thought nut to crack. I've downloaded Chihayafuru a while ago but can't find the right time to watch it. The PTW list is too big >_<

"Texhnolyze and Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei" those are very good choices. The character designs in Texhnolyze are made by Yoshitoshi Abe ^_^
He is also the original creator of Haibane Renmei and Serial Experiments Lain which I enjoyed watching. So I would recommend those two.

And there is also a VN which I played 2 days ago called "Phenomeno". It's only 2-3 hours long and guess what ? the art was also done by him :D
