I mean, there were some hidden gems that most anime fans I know don't know of. And yeah, they're on your PTW too.

Your profile pic put me in a better mood! :3
You seem well-informed. There's some awesome stuff on your list; especially your PTW.
The last two Madoka movies are something I could recommend that wouldn't take too long. There's also a concept movie that's like a prototype trailer for the upcoming fourth movie.

Kaze Tachinu and Flanders no Inu are both historical in setting, one of which I can say is factual. I have worries that Kaze Tachinu is going to g straight for the tear ducts like Grave of the Fireflies. Have you seen Grave of the Fireflies?

So with the word "Nova" in your user name do you have a love of astronomy? I was re-reading an article just yesterday on galaxy super clusters, these are how we classify the passage of matter that makes up the ever expanding universe. They did a visualisation of our own super cluster:

They named it "Laniakea", it is a word of native Hawaiian language, it translates to "immeasurable heaven". I thought both it and the patterns made from the compute model were beautiful. To think that our own understanding of our place in the universe is so limited that this discovery was made only in 2014!

So with a past interest in the creative arts what are you hoping to do professionally in the future?

That must have been nice to grow up with a creative influence in your life. I had a friend who practised dance all the way up to university, it is such a physically demanding exercise and kept her very fit! What kind of dance did you practice?

Fantasy and science fiction themes have long been my favourite, mostly due to the freedom of imagination the genres allow for. H. G. Wells, Tolkien, Philip K. Dick and Orson Scott being amongst my favourite writers. What anime are you following at the moment? I see you have quite a few historical anime in your "to watch" list.

After looking more into Citrus the series at least, it seems like people were having problems with characters forcing themselves on each other multiple times throughout the story. I can definitely see why it would be unpleasant for a majority of people. I've been looking at the other shows that are coming out and I think i'll also check out Sono Toki Kanojo wa, Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara, and Release the Spyce.

It's wonderful to see the anime medium reaching all corners of society, concert pianists included! He tours south east Asia and takes his Steinway with him, it must be pretty nerve wracking to move such a thing! I am sure it is well insured :P There is a video of Animenz and Theishter meeting at a convention and performing a duet outside the venue. Amazing to think Theishter started self taught with a piano he part put together himself.

Musical talent is something I was to naive to pursue when I was younger. I would have loved to have learnt piano or violin, they do say it is never to late to start though :) Though you have dabbled in plenty, did you find one you preferred?

Hmmmm, NGNL was something beautiful for me. Do you enjoy the fantasy genre?

I still think it’s nice to encounter others that are open minded. I haven’t seen many fictional stories about two girls falling in love yet. I’m assuming Yagate Kimi ni Naru will be better than Citrus. I haven’t seen the show but judging by the reviews it unfortunately seems pretty bad.
starrynights989 Sep 19, 2018 3:24 PM
Hi! I think it's cool that you like manga and anime with yuri and yaoi. There's an anime series coming up this fall called Yagate Kimi ni Naru that i'm going to check out.
S0ARIN Sep 18, 2018 4:59 PM
Hmmmm, I am glad we share this interest! Have you heard of Animenz? He is master pianist with a flair for piano covers of anime ost's. If you haven't seen his channel this is one of my personal favourites:
No Game No Life was a delight for both the vividly coloured visuals and the original soundtrack, I am pretty heartbroken we will never see another season. Do you play any instruments per chance?
serialchiller Sep 18, 2018 6:52 AM
Aww :( But me neither. Yeah, chilling out now. Too much studying!

My mind is so numb right now. Tell me a joke.

Haha no pressure, but thanks for the consideration! If you liked MiA or dark/psychological series in general, feel free to ask me for recommendations since those happen to be my favorite genres as well d(> u< )

I am happy to see you enjoyed Charlotte and Angel Beats! The prior especially seems to get quite a bit of flak for the way it ended, though I believed this to be a somewhat conclusive ending and positive in most regards. Angel Beats! conclusion pulled no punches, the graduation went right for the heartstrings, but gave you appreciation of the concept of the anime. Also the OP was fantastic, I am a bit of a sucker for piano pieces.

I consider it strength of character in accepting and having pride in oneself. People often tend to change to conform to the social environment around them, which is pretty borrringggg. I have not seen much yaoi or yuri, I have been asked by a friend to watch Yuri on Ice which I will get around to once I am done with Magi: the labyrinth of magic.

Chobits you say... that goes back quite a few years. My friend at school who first introduced me to anime recommended both Chobits and Ah! My Goddess. Though this was at a time when I did not have broadband, only later did I get a chance to watch these and pretty much like you say there was no turning back. The anime industry has exploded in size since the mid-late 2000's, but I still lack friends at work to talk to about anime D:
