yeah haha you can see katsura at the bottom with his lil haircut i think. like i said the fight from benizakura on the ship was good it got me hooked. and i agree 100% the fights are really well done

i've learned more valuable lessons from gintoki than i have from all my teachers. i have my justaway's toothpick severed arm saved on my table, he'll have to undergo a surgical procedure in order to reattach it 😢 it's funny because i have a mini artist manikin on my desk, also missing an arm (they're both missing a left arm!). hahah as soon as i find time i'll assemble my very first neo armstrong cyclone jet armstrong cannon >:)

i loved the choreography of gintoki and katsura vs. the harusame pirates as well as okita's fight in the shinsengumi crisis arc, but to be fair those were both very one-sided. housen vs gintoki and kagura vs abuto back to back was awesome because they're all so powerful so it was nice to watch them go head to head

hey anything for diy gintama merch– i'll be crafty if i have to. my okita eye mask is literally one of those free complimentary masks you get on international flights, i just painted it to look like his XD. thank you so much though that's sweet ;') i definitely want the same poster gintoki has to hang over my desk, i wanna see if it can find a nice frame for it. the justaway stuff is so fun. hmm maybe i'll leave out the bomb on second thought, i kinda like my hair..

housen was kind of shallow, but i think he did a good job of posing a threat even though gintoki is overpowered

ok ok, it's this ingenious contraption i made out of a toilet paper roll, the cap of an eos egg chapstick, two toothpicks, some hot glue, and some paint. he sits on my desk by my gintama manga and okita eye mask and stares at me while i do my work. the inside's all hollowed out, i was thinking i could add a weight or, i don't know, a bomb..

it's so annoying especially when people are like "this is the saddest anime ever it will break you" and i have no reaction to it whatsoever –_–

that's true, imo the manga wasn't as funny because the voices really add a lot to the humor. also the official english translation is pretty lacking, instead of just calling katsura zura they put stupid stuff like cobra and casserole like ??? it's alright, i mostly like it because sorachi's art and notes at the end of each chapter are nice

don't lol, i watched like a minute of it on accident. the voice actors sound so lazy and the humor is so lame and obnoxious, they don't even try to translate most of the jokes properly..

crab is delicious, glad to see we're on the same page as usual ;) and same but they never make me cry when i want to

exactly, even if it's some reference i don't get i'll still be amused by the delivery. the voice actors really go above and beyond in that sense, and the comedy honestly gets better with every rewatch. gintama is a jack of all trades (and a master of all too)


LMAO i feel like hating otae is the gintama equivalent of hating nami or sakura, they all have that violent bitchy feel to them. idk she's not awful but compared to the rest of the female cast she's the bottom of the bucket. easily. yeah i think kondo had a serious lapse of judgement there lol considering the options. and he totally deserves better :(

right? i especially don't understand how people watch comedy anime dubbed lol it loses all its merit. the gintama dub is atrocious :|

i never watched futurama but i had a friend that was obsessed with it. but gintama is really on another level because it's so much funnier and i don't even get the full extent of all the jokes



yes i love katsura so much and his voice actor is perfect. true, at least kondo is ridiculously and unwaveringly loyal (although otae is probably the last person who deserves it). i respect him but tbh i just wanted to see shit smeared on otae's face

dubs are so bad they make anime so hard to enjoy. i don't understand why all the voices are so peppy and comedic? they almost never fit the characters i hate it. i'm able to tolerate the naruto dub to an extent and i actually didn't hate the death note dub, but aside from that they've all been unbearable.
