Hi, it has been a long time. Then it was good timing. :)

The best defence is a good offence... at least that's how it works in TV shows. Rumours linking us with Tierney... a full back known for his attacking play. You couldn't make this up. Arsenal seem to want to win games 5-3 rather than 1-0. I think Pepe could do well and realistically Arsenal have a front three who could get 15+ goals. That would be similar to that team who came second last season... you know, minus the defence. I hope they sign a proper defensive player, but I doubt they will.

There have been a lot. I'm kind of disappointed with all the recent Marvel movies though, to be honest. I saw Avengers End Game and I'll probably stop watching the movies from now. Spiderman was ok, but they can't use him anymore so it feels pointless. Disney are going down the route of using all the stories that have been made in the last ten years. Coincidentally the last ten years have been the worst period in Marvel's history. I'd rather save myself from it lol. Aquaman was better than I thought it would be and Shazam was really good. I'd like to say I'm optimistic for DC going forward, but they don't have any consistency or long term vision. Ragnarok was all right. It was the best Thor movie, although I'd say that is a backhanded compliment.

Good one watching more JoJo. Giorno is one of the weaker JoJo's for me, but the anime was much better than I thought it would be. I hope you enjoy it. Did you watch Part 4? Italy was a pretty good setting. A lot of varying locales to use.

That's good to hear. What kind of job did you get? It's good that things are working out for you, though. Sounds like you keep busy a lot now! I've been well too. I left my previous job and started a new one a few months ago, but I don't really enjoy it. My manager finds new ways to tell me off, it seems lol. I'll probably look to change sooner rather than later.

Apologies for the later reply.

Hey please. You're right but Arsenal are still relevant... I think. Liverpool have been very good, though. It was too bad about the league but the UCL was a decent consolation. ;)

Driving after a crash was tough and I was super paranoid, but after a while I've become a lot more comfortable.

A lot of Marvel and DC movies have come out since we last messaged each other. XD

I'm glad you enjoyed part 4. Part 5 is my least favourite but it's still popular enough. The creator gets really out of hand with the stands in this and the next part.

How's work and life been since we last talked?

You're right about that. It's like we're officially on a clean slate. The team has gone through a lot of changes with management in the past, including changing head coaches, OCs, etc, but this is the first time in a while where I feel like it's a new team. Barkley, Cutler, and Hoyer are all gone, so it's gonna be interesting to see how our QB situation fares. I'm not worried about our defense, our running game, or our wide receiver corp, actually. I'm pretty excited and optimistic to see what comes out from that. I did see that you guys picked up Marshall and I hope things go better for that guy. He had a really promising career at one point, but I feel like his stats are garbage because he's no longer as fresh, his team is bringing him down, or a combination of both. With Beckham and Marshall, you guys could be really scary. I'm just not sure why we gave up your draft pick like that and then overpaid a QB that we won't even really lean on. Like, that made no sense to all of us and it honestly pissed off so many people. A similar thing happened with the Chicago Bulls and honestly I feel like all my teams are salting their fans, but I'll still be a loyal fan for my home teams.

I haven't heard of Evan Engram but I hope he's not good if/when he plays against us :P. I wonder who the sleepers and hot rookies will be this year. I am really excited for the season to start again as I no longer have hockey, baseball, basketball, or football to watch. I wouldn't say hostility is ever a good thing, but getting in the competitive spirit is what makes winning more valuable. I love seeing good sportsmanship, but sadly there is always a handful of bad eggs that ruin it for everyone.

I mean, I'm not all up for calling footballers a bunch of pussies because I feel like a whole lot of them like to get down to business and don't mind getting dirty, but when it comes to actually winning, people try to abuse "injuries." If a player is told to exaggerate an injury that gives the team a big enough lead to win, then other teams will catch on and the sport essentially becomes a game of who can fake an injury better. I feel like a handful of people who get "injured" might just be told to do so anyways, not out of their own free will. It just looks unnatural too, in a lot of instances.

I try not to drink garbage like soda too. I'd much rather have a cup of tea, but sometimes a can of something is just more convenient. If I had a surplus of canned tea, I can be sure as hell that that's the only thing I would be drinking. Plus, while I do enjoy a hot beverage sometimes, I really relish a cold beverage much more, regardless of the temperature outside.

Sombae is pretty.. bae ;). D.va is gorgeous and her skins are fantastic as well. I feel like she has way too many though, haha. I LOVE Zarya, but I find most of her skins to be hideous. I primarily play Zarya, Genji and Ana, but always love playing Sombra during quick play. I think she is really really good, but she is so damn hard to use with randoms especially if y'all don't have any chemistry. Communication is everything with her.

Also, I'm diggin' the Chloe gif. 'Twas a good game. Finally, Tame Impala is the bomb-diggity.

I guess there's no good time for me to reply to you lol. Your message was sent at a strange time, though... hmmm. I don't even watch football anymore. :(

I was fine, thanks. My car wasn't. I've gotten a new car since then and gone back to driving with a little more condifence since then.

I did see Logan. It was really good, minus the final boss fight. Did you get around to seeing Logan, I imagine you did. I guess I am a wheeler dealer. I've sold all of my DC/Marvel Bishiujo statues (for pretty decent profits).

I am kind of excited, just not as excited as I was for The Winter Soldier or Logan. Yeah. These movies tend to be fun to watch. I'm not really a big Guardians fan, if I'm honest. I might watch it eventually, but I doubt I'll go to the cinema for it. How about you?

I'm glad you did finish JoJo. Part 4 was pretty good. Hopefully Part 5 doesn't turn people off so much that there isn't a Part 6 and (more importantly) Part 7. Bowie would be proud that he was represented by a suave lady killer like Kira. ;) Who was your favourite character?

I hope things have become more settled for you, Kie kun. Have things changed for you since then? I've been ok. My work place sent me to Germany twice, so that was good. :P Other than that I've had to continue my accounting studies... not quite as good.

I think we're even since we both have some prolonged responses.

The season was a blur for me. I think that's because my team pretty much sucked ass, but I'm not even disappointed, actually. I think we are always in a good position and especially now, the team should be more fun to watch now that Cutler is gone. The last few games of our season with our backup-backup QB, Barkley, were pretty entertaining to watch. Even if my team loses repeatedly, I can never complain over a good game of (american) football. I'm also excited for White, Wheaton, our defense, our QB situation with Mark Sanchez, Glennon, etc because I honestly have no idea what to expect. It can be a complete train wreck, but I think our fans are used to it by now, so it can't really be too bad. Also, I feel as if Rodgers did not have a good season this past season. The packers had a pretty abysmal offense, but I guess it just goes to show that an elite QB can make a lot of plays despite this. I remember their RB situation was a nightmare since Lacy and Starks were out. Any promising things for your Giants?

I'm not a huge fan of the draft pick, but it's not like my opinion would change anything. As long as we have a handful of people to help us shape the team up and not some black hole that takes all our funding, I'm content with that. I don't really follow college football either, and I'm sure you definitely don't really have a reason, other than for just having a love for the sport, but some of the college options are really full of sleepers sometimes. Why do you dislike the Cowboys?

I'm not sure if I told you already, but my interest in (soccer) football has been decreasing because of all the fake injuries that I see online. It's basically an exaggeration that leads to delays and penalties in the game, and I guess it's not the players fault entirely because I'm sure they're told to do it. Winning in the professional world of sports is everything, maybe that's why too many don't really like Arsenal, haha. Hopefully I can get into it one of these days.

Also, I usually just drink a crap ton of tea when I don't feel like getting the caffeine dose from coffee, but still need a little boost to keep me awake. Otherwise, it's always a great drink because it's revitalizing and delicious, not to mention healthy :D. Maybe not with the sugar and stuff, but I try to use a bit of sugar if it's a post-meal drink or something like that.

Also, Loving the overwatch pictures. I take it that you play? I've been playing quite a bit myself recently, actually.
Jatz Feb 12, 2017 7:46 AM
Sorry for not replying sooner! I was in a car crash so I've been weighed down by that. XD

Liverpool have a small teams mentality. Play well vs good teams but don't try against weaker opposition. XD Was happy to see Tottenham lose vs you guys, though. Firmino getting a cheap assist for my fantasy team too. :P Not above us anymore. ;) I remember when we hadn't imploded when I was last on here... good times. Now Arsenal's aim is to not finish below Spurs (like every year).

Wolverine is a curvaceous dude. You're totally right. Yeah. I would miss them, but new bigger statues can fill the void. :P Plus, a lot of the statues I've bought have gone up in value.

I'm not too hyped for Infinity War, if I'm honest, but I'll probably enjoy watching it. I get what you mean about villains in these movies. Marvel's had a hard time making any good ones. I'm certain it'll be better than Garfield's ones... even with RDJ's repetitive sarcasm.

I did finish the anime. So good. David Bowie would be proud. Did you finish it? :)

How's real life been for you?
funbar Jan 12, 2017 1:37 AM
Tough luck on the loss.

Trust me, I would have loved to see your boys beat the Packers. You have to give Rodgers credit, though. That man is surgical with his throws and honestly their o-line isn't really anything special. They don't even have a dedicated RB anymore, but he still makes these plays happen. I didn't watch the whole game and I'm sure it came down to a lot of mistakes, but a good QB can really change the outcome. I felt really bad for Beckham because he is a freak athlete and he got shut down and/or made some nasty drops. If your offense can pick it up in a few areas, NYG will be a force to reckon with. I just hope my Bears can do the same.

I'm not really sure about Garoppolo. If we can get him and also get him for cheap, he could be really promising. Right now, we have Barkley and Hoyer who are simply 2nd/3rd string players. I honestly liked Hoyer because he didn't throw any picks, but seeing Barkley play made the game much more entertaining. With football, I just want to see a good game. The outcome is always important too, but blowouts are no fun to watch.

As for what I do, I watch all the sports, but Football is definitely my favorite. I watch the NBA and NHL when there's no more football. I would love to watch soccer (futbol), but I can't really seem to get into it. I support Arsenal and I'm pretty sure we talked about this before, but it's nothing more than an interest.

Also, I started drinking my black tea with milk. It's great, and I kind of just treat it like coffee, which I also sometimes like with milk.
funbar Dec 26, 2016 8:08 PM
You're only saying you enjoyed the game because your team won!

It seems this season, we are plagued with a ton of injuries, but on top of that, everything else is kind of just collapsing on itself. There isn't really anything good at all going for the team, except for the young players. Jordan Howard has been pretty elite and we also have some great leaders on our defense. I'd certainly say we're in a better position than say, the Browns, Jets, or the 49ers, just to name a few. I'll always be a huge fan of my Bears, but we're definitely in a dark spot right now. Our QB situation is probably the biggest thorn in our side, though. Not sure what's really gonna happen there.

I don't think we will draft a QB in the first round. It doesn't seem worth it since there aren't any good QB's worth grabbing anyways.

Haha, Eli seems to be struggling quite a bit. I watch NYG games from time to time, and I think it was the Cowboys vs. NYG, but Eli played horribly that game. He fumbled like twice, and should've had like 5-6 interceptions. Nobody really played well that game, but some of those mistakes should've never happened. I guess your record just shows that your strengths aren't really in one place. I think your team wins more games by covering for each others mistakes. I remember the Bears struggled immensely in the second half of a lot of games, but that could be because we have so many turnovers, haha. Anyways, when our defense plays at an elite level, the offense just can't deliver. I remember when Barkley played and our receivers literally dropped the easiest passes that were spot on. It's a mess, but I hope we can get a grip on the solution soon.

Once football season is over, my Sundays and Thursdays will be pretty boring, heh.
