Yea I'm the same with anime. Right not I'm watching love story slice of life. mecha psychological. slice of life (barkamon) plus all my simulcasts. Its good to switch it up when you get bogged down.

Yea Take0kun is so legit and such a relatable character. Rinko is also awesome. I need a girl who has baking skills and baking passion like that lol
Yea Pincess Tutu is actually way better then it appears. I felt the same way and got into it later. Its a bit Shouou in some elements but story and art and soundtrack are quite good. With a couple of little twists.
No worries about the slow reply I figured you had things going on :) Have you seen spice and wolf yet? Also quite good and a feel to it like no other anime. I started that Barakmon its good. I haven't marathoned it yet. I've been switching off between -Moblie Suit Gundam Zeta (Phenomenal art style though its made in 85) Barakomon and Kimagure orange road. Enjoying all 3 and nice to switch off now and then.
Yea Glass Mask is a nice shoujo. In some ways its outdated like phone technology but in terms of heart and person chasing a dream its timeless imo. Still to each his own.
Monogatari is one of my fave franchise. Though I'm a subs fan and its makes my eyes spin reading it ha ha. Still well worth it. I still got a few to go on that one.
Yea series with filler drive me nuts. I'll often skp through to new content on those to speed by. There great if your catching up but if your marathon man then what a waste of time they are ha.
Yea Takeo is great but I like almost every character in that show. They are all so relatabel. Yea the live action is decent. The guy who played Takeo did a good job. I prefer the anime much more. But its worth a watch if your interested.
Yea Lovely Complex is the tall and short guy. It gets much better. One of my favorite rom coms. It also has a live action film as well. Though I didn't finish the live action.
Another decent somewhat magical girl is Princess Tutu. Its a bit different. More of a fairy tale. Buts its quite good. Ookami to Koushinryou is amazing too. Medevil economy slice of life magic and great lead characters. Glass No kamen isn't too bad either. Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai: Under the Innocent Sky is a surprisingly good harem rom com echhi I stumbled on. I liked it alot more then I ever imagined just hearing about it. Ha so many to watch.
I get the feeling that were gonna find out Nori Chan is his sister. But maybe I'm wrong. I watch it when it simulcasts.
Yea i've been watching all the gundams in order and i can't help but get sucked in by them even though they are old series

I did see my pet monster and loved it. Have you seen Lovely Complex? Yea I have so many animes I want to watch but get stuck on new ones I find along the way so thats why my watch list is huge. Did you watch oremonogatari? My love story. I liked that alot as well and saw the live action too. Thanks for all the suggestions.
Yea I liked Hunter X Hunter alot. Although it was a slow start and the first episode was horrible. Still its one of my overall faves. Same kind of thing with Hitman reborn. It was pretty slow for like 22 episodes. But I was told it was really good. (created by the guy who did Hunter x Hunter manga) So I toughted it out. I wound up liking it alot. every season got significantly better. Though some of the in between episodes were a bit boring.
Yea Ushio and Tora does have a weird art style its true. It reminds me of old manga art still I love it. Kinda like it more for the retro look but to each his own.
Re Zero is my fave this year and Erased last year. Although Erased ending was a bit lacking for me in satisfaction. Still I totally loved the show and premise. Kiznaivier I've enjoyed a bit. I do watch it. I just keep feeling in the later episodes it more predictable plot wise. For me what I enjoy most about it is the ensemble cast and their relationships. Poor Chidori btw ha ha.
Asterix is not as good as Calvary and is similar a few other shows I've seen. It is trope filled and in the scope of things not good. But with that said I like some of Moe characters like the blue haired childhood friend and the you sword stress girl. I did like Calvary but as you stated I find no flaws with your logic. Although it was nice to see a protagonist get with the girl for once. Which is very rare in anime sometimes excluding romance of course.
God eater initially turned me off with the CG but the story kept pulling me in. I'm glad I watched it. It was a good ride.
Not sure if I"m excited for the Ghost in the Shell movie. I like Scarlett but part of me wish they just used a Japanese actress as the Major is Japanese. I still will prolly watch it though.
Yea Madoka was so good it turned me into a Magic girl fan ha. I never was before. It is one of those stories you can get good re watch value.
With anime I sometimes watch a few trope filled series if they pull me in. I enjoyed Girl Und Panzer and Highschool fleet. Both series with surprisingly good combat in them. Though I don't see them as classic. I guess I need a Moe fix from time to time. If you don't mind watching an older series. I would recommend the first ever Mobile Suit Gundam which I thought was surprisingly good. Like I said earlier Maison Ikokku, I also really liked both seasons of Gate. I heard another is really good but I haven't got to it yet. ha ha my to watch list is almost a big as my completed list. There are bunch of shows I've watched a few episodes or halfway through and stopped. I leave em on my list because I like to finish what I started but who knows if that will really happen. Hope you like outbreak company.
Erased was pretty good Re Zero is my fave atm thats ongoing. Plus I like Ushio and Tora, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn Re 96, Mobile Suit Gundam Origin, Gakusen Toshi Asterisk, Big Order, God Eater, Ghost in the shell arise series of ovas, Koutetsujou no Kabaneri, Thats some new stuff and newer stuff I've watched recently. For Older stuff I just finished Maison Ikkou which I enjoyed alot (Rom com Slice of life) Nana was pretty good, the Higarshi series was amazing to me though also a bit older. Yuki Yuna is a hero wasn't bad but its not as good as Puella Magica Madoka. I've been rewatching Outbreak company which is pretty funny. I guess it depends on you cup of tea really. I enjoy a mish mash of genres depending on my mood. Or to mix it up if I'm bogged down on one series. What type of shows do you like genre wise? Shonen and action I see from some of the things you mentioned previously.
