immortality and the subject of it is still speculative tho , in most a tales of immortal beings like angels and elves dont have this feeling of lonliness or want of death, so i do believe that there is a good chance that there is no need for people to actually feel lost after being immortal , sure you will be hurt initially but soon enough itll all be disconnected , humans have a tendency to adapt quickly too. maybe he just was lonely and needed a break for now to broaden his perspective it seems to me immortality is a bit too demonized as a curse rather than boon , it can be a great thing too you never know.
