Mashiro no Oto
add

Both shows present an unknown part of Japanese culture. The MC in Mashiro no Oto reminds me alot of Arata from Chihayafuru, going into details would spoil a key event in the first season of Chihayafuru, but fans of the show will see the connection. Both have a serious tone, with some comedic sections, which makes for an entertaining watch. Both have unique artstyles, Chihayafuru has a unique character design, and Mashiro no Oto has an almost watercolor-esque art style, this really sets both shows apart from the masses of shows that air.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime 2nd Season

These two share an insane ressemblence in their structure. Both female leads are innocent and don't know much or anything about love, and learn about it with the help of the outgoing, sociable male lead, and in the second seasons for both of these series, the seriousness of the feelings from the male lead is shown, with arcs that put them in stressful situations that make their characters feel genuinely real.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime
add

Similar main character. Doesn't know much about love and kinda lives in her own little bubble until she meets the very sociable male lead, and their relationship builds from there. Shirayuki-hime is a fantasy, happening in a more medieval time, while Kimi ni Todoke is a more modern show, in a high school setting. Both are very wholesome and feature drama that'll have you on the edge of your seat!

Gimmick in the romance, Misaki works at a maid cafe, and Miyamura has tattoos that shouldn't be seen. Misaki and Hori are very similar, fiery personalities, but caring with the one they love. Both main girls work hard outside of school for their family.

Similar premice, KJ has the Kemono, and the "Anti Kemono Squad" there to take them out, FF has the Infernals, with the Fire Force there to take them out. Both have a very shounen-esque approach to the presentation, and both have a solid cast of both male and female characters, with enough variety in the personalities to satisfy everyone.

Kono Oto Tomare!
add

Both present a fairly unknown part of Japanese culture Both present said parts in a serious manner, leaving just enough room for a story to develop along with it's characters Both feature characters with varying interest in their respective tasks who end up being passionate in the end Watching Kono oto Tomare gave me big Chihayafuru vibes, an unknown part of Japanese culture is present in a serious way, with just enough comedy to not make it too serious, a god-tier player in each series, followed by a less good but still great player, and a disinterested club that grows tight as they play together and experience new things as a group!

2.43: Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu
add

Both present a sport in a serious manner Both focus on said sport, but leave just enough room for a story and characters to evolve Both feature some comedic moments, not too many, but just enough to make it not feel too tense When watching 2.43, I got some Chihayafuru vibes, it presented a character in love with volleyball, a friend who wasn't as into it, but still just enough to want to start a club with the MC, and they then build a good team from disinterested members. In Chihayafuru, it's more of the same, a passionnate Chihaya build a good team with the help of her semi-interested friend Taichi out of members who seemed to feel nothing for Karuta. Very different sports, but similar vibes overall.

Both are serious romances, featuring little comedy, and lots of drama. Both are in a school setting Both feature characters learning about love and it's struggles Both take time to develop and set up a proper story that pays off in the end I personally got big Kimi ni Todoke vibes while watching Mizuiro Jidai, Mizuiro Jidai felt like a middle schooler version of KnT, with a but less drama.

Nana (Hachi) and Sawako are similar, both are girls who don't know too much about what love actually is, and throughout the series they learn what it truely means, with happy moments, fun, but also heartbreak. Both are very serious in their presentation, with Nana having a more serious tone overall.

Cute girls doing cute things while not having a care in the world. These shows are fun and cute slice of life shows with an all female main cast, a very relaxed atmosphere and most of all, THEY DON'T REALLY DO MUCH!!! Both are shows that are easy to digest, no overly complicated story, no sci-fi elements, just pure slice of life and cute moe girls! You can lay back, and watch them a cup of tea and some cake!

add

While the setting is quite different between Yahari and Bakemonogatari (even the Monogatari series as a whole), while watching this show, I couldn't help but think that this is just a very meh Bakemonogatari clone. Let me explain Yukinoshita, the cold girl who doesn't really have any friends, suddenly comes into contact with another antisocial person in Hikigaya. In Bakemonogatari, it's the antisocial Senjougahara who comes into contact with fellow (decently) antisocial Araragi Even down to some of the dialogue, some of Yukino's dialogue feels like something only Senjougahara would say. Also the little hair that sticks out on Hikigaya's head is a total ripoff of Araragi's, I don't care.
