♥ ABOUT ME ♥
Hi! My name is Mirai, also known as 'egoninobi' in Basque communities (I'm Basque) and 'Lolimepo' here.
As a Basque kid born in 1997, I watched tons of anime dubbed in my mother language. It was the golden age of Basque dubbing, since nowadays it's practically dead. As a big fan of Doraemon, I was heartbroken when they butchered the amazing Basque dub around 2010. That led me to start watching anime subbed in English, and eventually to teach myself Japanese so I could watch raw Japanese content.
I watch anything that catches my attention, but my absolute favorite genre is hobiani/kodomo, which is basically stuff aimed at kids to sell them plastic toys. Yeah, I'm probably not their main target, but who cares, these shows are so much fun and the toys are very cute and cool!! Also, I'm obsessed with Precure since 2014-2015 when I first heard of it. Other genres I really enjoy are mahou shoujo, shounen, super robot, TSF, yuri and anything related to Fujiko·F·Fujio sensei. I also like sci-fi, mystery, occult, time-travel, space, isekai, games, henshin heroes, phantom thieves, detectives, cute outfits, lolita fashion, youkais and Mizuki Shigeru sensei's works.
I don't rate the things I watch because doing so gives me anxiety, sorry about that. Feel free to ask my opinion on anything, though. You can also check my Japanese drama and Western stuff lists. I speak Basque, Galician, Japanese, English and Spanish. Have a nice day!

These are some of my all-time favorite series. Can you call bingo on my tastes? :P
I grew up watching almost exclusively Japanese animation, so I had very little exposure to Western cartoons. However, I recently became interested and started watching Western material... dubbed into Japanese. Why Japanese you ask? Well, I barely understand spoken English (pronunciation is very hard), and sadly almost nothing gets dubbed into Basque and Galician (my native languages). So yeah, Japanese it is. In fact, after watching so much anime Japanese feels very natural to me. Also, Japanese shares great similarities with Basque, which is awesome.
My name 'Mirai' is an alternative spelling of 'Mirari' which means "miracle" in Basque, but also happens to mean "future" in Japanese and is a relatively frequent name. Mind the intonation is different, 'mi-RAI' in Basque and 'MI-ra-i' in Japanese, but it's still fun to hear my name in anime and drama. You know Mirai from Precure who transforms into Cure Miracle? Yeah, that's me, THANK YOU TOEI w
