That is a possibility, but perhaps the greatest thing in Haruhi's timeline is the fact that there are no large timeskips thanks to Haruhi's ridiculous adventures happening pretty much back to back. The girl can't calm down sometimes lol. Sure, sometimes a month or two passes by, and I'm not denying that the time should move faster in the Haruhiverse, but cutting out the adventures (that are usually woven with subtle yet crucial developments) with large gaps in between wouldn't make much sense. Then again, whatever Tanigawa decides to do, as long as he does it right, I have no complaints.

Yeah, that was obviously depression and writer's block mixed in with his faulty computer. In this case, however, I have a theory that perhaps he realized that after he wrote the last installment, that the reason why he never got back to it was because he realized that he needs to write about 10 more volumes of content lol. Think about it, he at least needs to explain everything that happened up to when Haruhi and Kyon enters COLLEGE, and it took around 8 volumes to get through the first year and the next three to explain the next week. He was probably overwhelmed with that alone, which is why I'm excited that he's deciding to release a slightly longer short story just to get something out there and stop obsessing over the little things... I noticed Tanigawa is a BIT of a perfectionist. Hopefully this isn't a sign of him giving up lol. He'll likely give his reasons for hiatus like he did with Surprise of Haruhi and then say whether he plans to release another volume or not.

Hopefully Tanigawa will share the reason for his absence in the afterward...

EXACTLY! That was one I completely forget about! They took days to get around in the beginning of the show. Then just because they need some magic circle, they somehow manage to make it to five corners of the kingdom and then to the center of it, before sunset! It'd be one thing if some super athlete sprinted all day long, but 13? Albus? Even Zero, I highly doubt they're in shape enough to traverse an entire kingdom in one day. Total BS.

Like I said, there's probably a lot more than I mentioned in my review.

I really appreciate your comment, because even though our scores our quite different, you seem to appreciate some of the undeniable issues I brought up. Instead of doing the anime version of white knighting a show just because you want to believe all anime are great or just because our opinions differ.

Sure. Some of my favourites are Dragon Ball, Kyou Kara Ore Wa!!, Yuu Yuu Hakusho, Hotaru no Haka, Akira, Macross, Gundam, Space Cobra, Hokuto no Ken and Hadashi no Gen.

That's why I'm talking about "normal human rating".
It is, but I learned that if you want a really good anime you should watch something from 80's or early 90's.

People usually rate anime much higher than I do. If people rate it 7, there's a high probability I will have something between 2-6 on that.
Agreed.

I gave them 5/10 which is 6-7/10 in normal human rating. There are much worse anime.
