Two solid shows with great animation(Bleach's animation was pretty good considering that it aired from 2004-2012)where the protagonist has to slay demons/hollows "to protect" (Ichigo Kanji pun) the ones close to him.

Not that similar in any way. But if you're into 4th wall breaking in Anime,you should definitely check these out. I would have recommended the entire Monogatari series if I had the option, but, oh, well.

They don't have much in common. It's just that, if you want to send your brain 'cells at work' (Pun intended,though I haven't watched CAW yet) trying to understand a series, these 2 definitely deserve an A+ in that case.

Worlds where humans are bred for their meat by demons. Both stories share this similar pattern while having its fair share of thrill.

If you liked Higurashi no Naku Koro ni add

...then you might like Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu add

Shows where a single linear story leads up to different outcomes with a certain character reincarnating at a certain point in time at the beginning of it all. These 2 can be a bit confusing at times, but it all makes sense at the end. But if you are easily disturbed by violent content, I wouldn't recommend either of these.

I'm just gonna say 'One' (pun intended) thing about my experience with these two:"Don't Judge a book by its cover." If you like seeing Overpowered protagonists fighting evil in a comical way, you'll definitely love these 2 shows.

Humanity struggles to attain freedom in a world dominated by other life forms. Though, Deca-Dence wasn't as thrilling as SNK in my eyes, the show took great turns and timed the plot twists perfectly even though it only had 12 episodes to wrap up the story.

Both of these shows present a supernatural and mysterious story in a comedic way with a little bit of romance. Plus, I'm personally a big fan of how the waifus blend in perfectly with the storylines.

In both of these shows, Protagonist is a vessel of a demon and has to constantly fight the evil inside him to protect his loved ones. Moreover, The exorcism of curses and the comedic presentation of various characters in these 2 are what makes me feel like they have a lot in common.
