An explanation of my scores:
10/10: Peak, something absolutely amazing, that's perfect for me and will always hold dear.
9/10: Great, almost perfect, some elements may be holding it back, and something that I will never regret watching.
8/10: Good, something I enjoyed a bit that made it worth the time I invested in it.
7/10: Decent, an anime with good elements but either doesn't really stand out or gets bogged down by some elements I don't like.
6/10: Fine, usually nothing offensive but also nothing that really stands out.
5/10: Mediocre, not bad or good. Probably just boring.
4/10: Bad, where it either becomes too boring and the bad outweigh the good by quite a bit.
3/10: Terrible, the bare minimum of good stuff that is massively outweighed by the bad.
2/10: Embarrassing, probably only continued so I can say I finished this pile of mess.
1/10: Dogshit, will forever regret watching this.

You're about to enter Season 4 which is by far the greatest, so I hope you'll have a good time with it!
I would say that the anime overall does a much better job at communicating the message as well as more emotional presentation than the novel, although the novel does elaborate on certain plot points(mostly involving Kiritsugu). Personally I would say overall to rewatch the anime rather than the novel, because I think the theming and emotions you get from the story are more important than certain subtextual things.
Although if you want, you can always go back to read the novel if you want.
