It seems I was bored one night and got inspired to create this weird ranking of openings and ending.
While you're pressing F for my sleep schedule, let me explain how things work around here.
I will give every opening and ending I ever encountered watching anime a rating on a scale from 1 to 5 olives in five categories.
That means, if I know of an opening/ending of an Anime/part of an Anime that I have not watched, it will not be included here.
The five categories are: Visuals: how good does it look?
are there any interesting stylistic choices?
how much do I like them? Song: how much do I like the part of the song that it used? Flow: how well do visuals and the song go together?
how consistently enjoyable is it? Attachment: how much does it make me care about characters in it?
does it represent a possible already existing attachment to the characters well? Appropriacy: how well does it fit with the show?
how well does it align with or support the current tone of the show?
Once that's done, I will calculate an average score on a scale of 1 to 100% for the respective opening/ending and rank them based on that.
Because I don't include any further feelings besides the categories into the average score,
an opening/ending having a higher ranking than another does not automatically mean, that I prefer it over the other.
Obviously I won't rank every opening/ending I've ever watched, so only the ones with an average score of 64% or higher will make it into the ranking. (To make it clearer: with the lowest possible rating being 1/5 olives in all five categories, that would make the least possible rating 5/25 points, thus 20%.
68% would then mean at least 17/25 points, so an average of 3.4/5 points per category.)
Now that we got the rules down, I will create the actual ranking probably not tomorrow. (this has been like 4 months ago - still wanna do it, but it's work)
