I just thought it went seriously downhill after he left the town. There are ways that could be pulled off, but to pull the story out of its setting and introduce a bunch of really uninteresting characters seemed like a bad choice to me

Ah, thx :)

babbys western philosophy. like really there is absolutely nothing challenging in it, but as per the different perspective that alone would be forgivable, if not for the very piecemeal plot that harshly changed tone for no real reason many times.
the hook of the series as such was very slow scenes and the soundtrack. unfortunately i found nothing behind this for me to actually appreciate.

I think Monet's going to be the next straw hat, (this is a very fringe theory, and you'll understand why when you finish the Punk Hazard arc) and that she has a lot of potential as a character. (But not really one of my favorites.)

It's also kind of a joke. I can't explain why I think it's funny to include some seemingly random minor character in my favorites, but I do.

I know but I just find some of the things he said to you incredibly funny. For example, when he said "Don't worry. I pity you, too. I mean, hey, you liked Ping Pong :/". He said similar things to me after I told him his review was very poorly written.

Holy shit this Play2X guy is ridiculous.

I remember the main outline of the story, sure. Well Code Geass is mainly seinen military. There were mecha, but they weren't the main point, same as the school setting. I didn't feel like it was bad writing at all, so I enjoyed it more than you did. But you're right if you say there were a few too much ideas. Still I think they tied all strings up rather nicely.
Might just be a question of taste though. One of my friends I wanted to rewatch it with didn't like it at all. Others did.

Well, I don't think you watched enough anime in general to be calling stuff masterpiece. You did not even watch half the shows I would consider masterpiece.
Play2X Jul 24, 2014 7:32 AM
Wow, Dude, I watched this anime over 4 years ago. Well. Most of the points can be describet as this. 'In war not everything goes acording to plan'.
People might have a sickness without further actions. Why should every sickness automatically develop into some story either way. Why are there school festivals? Because Lelouche wanted to keep up his facade, obviously. Why did Lelouche kill his mother? I actually forgot he even did, but if I remember correctly there was an explenation for that, as well as the China arc.
By the way I googled that disease. Its Tuberculosis, the same one Okita Soji had. Might as well be a reference, but thats just guessing.

Code Geass? Plotholes? Wew, you just fell below rating. And NGNL? Yeah, thats really hard to follow for the likes of you, I agree. Yet again, there are no plotholes or bad pacing. Only fanservice. But well, it serves fans. As the word already implies, its not a bad thing, as long as an anime isn't centered around it. Also, perhaps you should watch Ping Pong with an unbiased mind again. Watch it, and tell me, if you really truly think 'this is not bad'.
Play2X Jul 24, 2014 4:34 AM
Sorry for you, but my favorites neither have bad pacing, nor plotholes. They do have fanservice sometimes, yes, but I don't watch anime for fanservice either. But well, if you like badly drawn, average anime just go ahead. I won't stop you.

Don't worry. I pity you, too. I mean, hey, you liked Ping Pong :/

Kino didn't disappear lol. Anyway I liked the series since it was very intelligent in its portrayal of morals and had a lot of memorable characters. Kino in particular stood out as an adventurous heroine with a desire for self discovery on her journey.
