Last year, I wrote a review of the show Jujutsu Kaisen where I explained the many problems of the show and how it was overshadowed by "Sugoi"-factor of Gojou Satoru. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 takes those problems, solves it and makes it even better despite bei9ng a prequel movie. The story is simple, Okkotsu Yuta is haunted by the cursed spirit of his girlfriend Orimoto Rika who kills his bullies in name of protecting him. The Jujutsu Academy plans on executing Yuta only to fail due to the existence of Rika, so they bring in Gojou Satoru. With his help, Yuta learns to control Rika while
...
trying to free himself from Rika's curse.
I will be comparing the movie with the show it is a part of. So, in case you haven't read my review on JJK, here's the link: https://myanimelist.net/reviews.php?id=436592
The first problem that I mentioned with the show was the protagonist Yuji Itadori, (or mainly) how the character didn't felt like a Shonen Anime Protagonist. Enter Okkotsu Yuta, a character that fits the textbook definition of a Shonen Anime Protagonist. Yuuta is a social outcast who has a powerful entity residing within him in the form of Orimoto Rika. His wish is to break free from his curse and be able to get along with everyone. One could say he is the JJK's version of Naruto Uzumaki. You could also say, Yuji is the same but that's where they are wrong. Where Yuji like all Shonen Anime Protagonists is dumb, Yuta is a bit more knowledgeable and smarter with his dumbness being limited to the knowledge of Curses. Second, I mentioned Yuji's motivation of giving people proper death which itself is confusing because it doesn't make any sense. On the other hand, Yuta's motive is more understandable and sympathetic. He wants to break free from his curse of his beloved Rika-chan because he feels that Rika's love for him is corrupting her to the point where he can't even recognize her. His second motive is to get along with others that may not be that big until you see the movie itself. In the first scene we see Yuta bullies targeting only to fall victim to Rika. This makes the Jujutsu Academy target him only to die by her (Rika) hand and Yuta attempting to take his own life which also fails due to Rika. This leaves him with the option of shutting himself out from the world only to be rescued by Gojou Satoru who offers him to learn the ways of Jujutsu so that he can learn to control his curse and possibly free himself from it. Even that had its own problems as he is targeted by his classmates who mistakes him for a threat. And BTW, this is just the first 30 mins of the movie. If we were to compare it with another Shonen Anime Protagonist such as Naruto side-by-side, they both are similar but different with their mindset being as different as Night and Day. Naruto has a cheery bright personality despite being a social outcast by his own village, whereas Yuta had already given up hope on living only find a second chance in life. In other words, Naruto is a Shonen Anime Protagonist that we can aspire to be while Yuta is a Shonen Anime Protagonist that we can relate to. Hence, he took place in the top 3 position in my favorite Shonen Anime protagonist along with Naruto and Tanjiro.
The second thing that the movie improved upon was the storyline, lore and ending. JJK has a good story, but we weren't given a proper lore to the story that can make us stay invested. I can also say that not many people can explain JJK's story or the connections of the antagonists with the protagonist and the supporting characters. JJK0 plugs those very holes left by the show. In the show, we don't pay attention to the character of Suguru Getou (you probably don't even know who I am talking about) as much as we pay attention to Sukuna and Mahito. I didn't even understand his motivations or why he is working with cursed spirits until I saw the movie. Let's say his motivations align with Lord Voldermort of Harry Potter. But that's not all, we also find out that Getou has a connection with Gojou and not like a small connection but rather they used to be classmates and had a NaruSasu relationship. they also hinted that in the past Gojou was not that perfect character that we all knew and loved back in his school days and Getou was a character whom he looked up to. This improvement in the characters, lore and relationships is what made JJK0 somewhat an improvement of the original. Speaking of Relationships, JJK0 also added a Love Triangle between Yuta, Rika and Maki. Maki was already a badass character in JJK but not a relatable one. In the show we know that she was ostracized for not having the ability to see cursed spirits, but she didn't let them bring her down and went to Jujutsu Academy to forge her own path and take place as the head of her family. JJK0 made her more sympathetic as we get to see more of her backstory and understand the amount of suffering that she has gone through and love her for fighting against her toxic parent's ideals. Although the love triangle part was a joke made by Panda, we did get to see a bit of chemistry between Yuta and Maki which made Rika so jealous that she tried to kill her when Yuta was healing her.
Finally, as always expected from MAPPA, they nailed the animation by blending 3D graphics with 2D animation. The fights, the monsters, the animation all of them were beautifully animated and are a treat to our little eyes. With their works on JJK, JJK0, AOT and Vinland Saga; I wouldn't be surprised if Chainsaw Man became the Anime of the Year of 2022. Heck, I would want them to remake Tokyo Ghoul as well.
My only disappointment to the movie was that they introduced new characters from the villain's side but they were all one-shot characters and didn't get enough time to be fleshed out, which makes sense given that it's only a film. But they made up for it with cameos of characters from the show. Although I expected to see a cameo of Fushigiro, to my disappointment we didn't. We still got to see Aoi Todou and the rest of the Jujutsu Academy Students of Kansai Region. And if that wasn't enough, there's post credit scene which indicates that we might see Yuta in the show as well. And I'm very hopeful for it. My another disappointment was that it left me with three sets of questions. One, how did Getou survive even though he was badly injured and we were given a hint of Gojou killing him off-screen. Two, what made Getou go from a person that even Gojou Satoru himself once looked up to into someone that Gojou Satoru despises. And three, at what point did Gojou decide to ditch his bandage look to his iconic Blindfold look. I am a fan of his Blindfold look, but after seeing his bandage look and "open-eyes" look I want to know more of the "Sweet-Treat" of a character that is known as Gojou Satorou.
Although I enjoyed JJK, it left me with some disappointments in some aspects. JJK0 took those disappointments and improved upon them giving us a film that surpasses the show itself. One could say that it is as good as Mugen Train, myself included. But I believe that both JJK0 and Mugen Train represent the very method as to how Tie-in Movies of Anime Shows should be made.

Solo Leveling, on first glance is the korean version of Isekai Mangas and Light Novel. Select few charaters go to a different world to battle monster that no other human beings can fight. Among them is our MC who was weak but suddenly became OP and he has one best girl with harem of girls having feelings for him. However, if you start reading the manhwa, you'll realize that this is not just Korean version of Isekai Genre. It's much more.
Solo Leveling (Originally titled "Only I Level Up" in the webnovel) is a manhwa (Korean Manga) which tells the story of Sung Jin-Woo (one of
...
the few characters in this manhwa that I'll probably remember because pronouncing Korean names are a bit tough compared to Chinese and Japanese), an E-ranked hunter living in a world where select few people known as the hunters go to a different world through a portal known as "The Gate" to battle and defeat monsters before they make their way into their own world. The hunters of SL have a fixed ranking that does not go up or down no matter how hard they try or laze around and their ranking range from E to S and to National Level (read the manhwa to find out the difference). The protagonist Sung Jin-Woo is an E-ranked hunter but is the most weakest among the weakest rank that he is known as "The World's Weakest" and his existence is considered so mocking that the other hunters made a rumor that if he joins a Hunters raid, it's an easy win for them. However things go south as the hunters Jin-Woo is accompanying in a raid runs into a Dungeon within a Dungeon (i.e. Hidden Dungeon) and begins to get slaughtered leaving Sung Jin-Woo as the sole survivor. But it was not in vain as because of that, he received an exclusive ability to increase his rank with certain conditions. Meaning he is the only one among the hunters that could level up. Thus, the title is called Solo Leveling.
Solo Leveling is not just your typical Isekai Power Fantasy where the MC is OP because he is the MC. Here we get to see the MC struggling, training and working hard into becoming powerful and slowly but surely as he goes from being dubbed "The World's Weakest" to being a World Level Hero. It's basically One Punch Man if we got to see Saitama's Journey into becoming the One Punch Man. There are times we see him describe an opponent more powerful than him only to train and see the opponent's reaction as he surpassed him on every level. The reason we enjoy and love Solo Leveling is because we get to see the character grow powerful and break his own boundary while those around him stay in the same power level. It may seem unfair but that's nothing compared to how weak the MC was when the story started. It is a piece of art that has a cast of colorful characters including Joo Jin-Ho, Sung Jin-Ah, Cha Hae-In and Go Gung-Hee (if you wanna know what makes them special, read the manhwa) mixed with amazing and Mind F#$king fight scenes that if it was animated by the likes of Ufotable or MAPPA, it would break many records. However, that doesn't mean it doesn't have it's flaws.
Solo Leveling takes its time to show the characters journey to Omnipotence as it is broken down into small pieces showing the MC's difference of strength in each arcs. And we do see the character struggle to his journey to being the strongest but we don't see him fall. Not even once. The manhwa takes elements from Shonen Genre along with Isekai, and what makes Shonen genre likable is the point that we get to see our MC fall down only to rise up stronger, but we don't see that from Jin-Woo. We only him assess a potential opponent on first meeting or just by the mere mention of their name only to have a showdown with them at their first and final confrontation. Not once do we see the MC lose a fight which would make the story more interesting as we would see him come back stronger than before and take him/her down. Which brings me to its second flaw, the fights.
The fights are amazingly drawn and animated that it may make you want toeither be a part of it or be glad that you aren't a part of it. However, almost all fights in this manhwa is centred around Jin-Woo with predetermined outcomes (i.e. he wins) and the fights that are centered around characters other than Jin-Woo seems less impactful and only serves to show the power difference between the characters themselves and Jin-Woo. There were exceptions however, such as the fight between Jin-Woo and Thomas Andre and the fight between Jin-Woo and three Monarchs of Sovereign which despite it's predetermined outcomes were still enjoyable. Yet despite all that, the fights make the story look like it was "Solo Played" by Jin-Woo (pun intended).
The third flaw I came across is character development. As mentioned before, Solo Leveling takes elements from both Isekai and Shonen Genre, and one of the greatest things about Shonen genre is the character development not just for the MC but also for the side characters, antagonists and minor characters as well. However there are a few characters that the show build up only to forget about, such as The Demon Princess Eris and and Jin-Ah's BFF Han Song-I along with many others. Then there are the rest of the side and supporting characters (not antagonists) who are introduced as the most strongest only to become weaker as the story progresses. Notable example is Cha Hae-In, who was introduced in the first volume as the S-rank Hunter who in Jin-Woo's opinion is stronger than the S-rank Hunter dubbed as "The Ultimate Soldier" only to continue as a Hajidere (like Hinata Hyuga from Naruto) in front of Sung Jin-Woo which is a major downgrade if you ask me. And I get it, it's not easy to develop characters other than the MC who is OP because the story is either told from their perspective or is centered around them, and fleshing out characters other than MC means to give the characters the spotlight for a few moments which can be good or bad and a gamble that many writers often skips out on. Regardless, if you overlook the flaws of the manhwa, you get an enjoyable reading experience.
When I was going through the stories, I thought the ending would be similar to that of Demon Slayer where the Demon Slayer Corps was disbanded after the death of Muzan. Similarly, Sung Jin-Woo might end the gates for good thus ending the reason for Hunters and Hunters Association to exist. And I did got something a bit similar. I won't say what the ending was but I'll say this, it's kind of sad that nobody would know or understand what he had to go though to let them live in such peaceful world. I also thought that it would end in Sung Jin-Woo's passing, which (thankfully) didn't occur. After reading the ending I found out there is an additional side story in the webnovel it is based on which tells the story from the perspective of the child of Sung Jin-Woo (now married with kids) as he discovers his father's omnipotent power. Sadly it was not adapted into the webcomic, but many fans are requesting it and I hope I get to see it myself.
Despite its flaws, Solo Leveling is an enjoyable and a binge worthy read for any and every Isekai Power Fantasy lovers such as myself. With great story, world building, colorful characters, fight scenes and art style that nearly comes close to The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci or Sistine Chapel Ceiling by Michelangelo if not for it being digital, Solo Leveling is a piece of art that every manga and manhwa readers should try and it is also a gateway for future manhwa readers who have yet to read a manhwa.

On first glance, Millionaire Detective seems like Sherlock Holmes if were rich instead of smart, following the Japanese Anime Cliches. However, once you watch the first episode, you can't help but enjoy it a lot.
Based on the novel of the same name, Millionaire Detective follows the story of Haru Kato, a washed up detective who is now a part of Crimes Prevention Squad (which is just a front for doing small tasks as cops such as Crowd Control, Evacuation etc) who must deal with a new member of their squad Daisuke Kambe, a millionaire who often tries to solve cases in the most extravagant and
...
expensive way. From the first episode alone you fall in love with the character of Daisuke Kambe from his suave persona, to cool guy personality and the fact that his loaded. You also sympathise with Haru who often has to deal with Kambe's antics and expenses (even though it is paid by him).
Halfway into the anime, the story starts to feel bland. The second half does follow a continuous story where we learn more about Daisuke Kambe, the secrets of his family and his motives behind joining the police force. However, it seemed poorly executed as I didn't enjoy it as I have enjoyed the previous episodes. Regardless, Millionaire Detective is an enjoyable anime and it is still worth a watch.
If you love Detective Mystery Thrillers, and Millionaire stories and want to see them together at the same screen, Millionaire Detective is just for you. The story, animation, characters and the opening theme song will make it worth your while. Even at the second half.

Before we begin, let me tell you that I have yet to see the show and I have seen many channel describing the amazing animation done by Ufotable. But still I haven't wached it and that's mainly because of the huge amount of hype surrounding the show. When somebody suggest you something over and over again, you generally lose interest, the same thing happened with me ever since Mugen Train dropped. Everywhere I went it on the internet, it was Demon Slayer left right and centre. And just when I decided to watch it, I lost my family Netflix account. And it was all for
...
good because if that didn't happen, then I wouldn't have discovered the piece of gem that was Demon Slayer.
Many people have said it ans I will too, Demon Slayer is a piece of Art. Not just in the sense of the drawing but also the story, characters, moments and so on. It is my first time reading a Shonen Manga and I can say that it is the best Shonen Manga (and for good reasons) and it will be the best Shonen Manga for decades. Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba, if you prefer the original title) has a simple story, boy finds his family slaughtered and his only surviving sister to be Demon, he decides to become a Demon Slayer to avenge his family and cure his sister. That's I what I like about Demon Slayer, it's simplicity. They kept it so simple that it is not too confusing, and they didn't make it too simple that it becomes boring. In other words, it perfected the art of "Beauty in Simplicity".
As I have mentioned, Demon Slayer has a simple plot and one that can explain the protagonist's motive and end goal in one go. Many Shonen manga or anime don't have the same method of plot summary (My Hero Academia, Naruto and One Piece could be an exception). If I ask you to give me a plot of Dragon Ball or Bleach that explains the character's motive and end goal, many would struggle. Not only that, many stories of the manga progress to the point that they often lose their plot or sway away from it, but not Demon Slayer. It's plot is simple, to the point and sticks to it to the tee. The protagonist Tanjiro does not have any intention to be strong or be a Hashira. He just wants to cure his sister so that they can continue on with their peaceful lives.
Speaking of Tanjiro, he is by far my most favorite Shonen protagonist (surpassing Goku, Naruto and Ichigo). And mind you, I haven't seen the anime yet and this was my first Shonen manga. So, that's saying a lot. As mentioned before, his motives and end goal are literally written in the plot and follows it to the tee, doesn't sway away from it at all. Not only that, but if we were to compare his likeness to other Shonen protagonist, he would lose in terms of strength alone. But if it comes to his personality, will power and his drive to continue, he surpasses all of the Shonen protagonist that came before him. He is not motivated by greed or power or position of the Hashira, he just wants to cure his sister and be done with it. And that it something we want him to do and support him for it without even realizing. I also liked how the author didn't make Tanjirou to be some "Chosen One" type of character and had him share his moments with other characters which makes his character more relatable. Because let's be honest, if we were in the shoes of Goku, or Naruto, we would have given up after a few tries and their situations also seem too much for us little tiny beings. On the hand, we could relate to Tanjirou because he is not alone or fighting any battle alone, he always has a support of someone by his side, be it friends or allies.
Other than Tanjirou, I liked the supporting characters of Zenitsu and Inosuke. Unlike some Shonen mangas and anime where the supporting characters are sidelined, these two not only share the same screen with him but also the same moments with him. Zenitsu is my most favorite character out of all of them because I can relate myself (in a bad way) with him. He is often too afraid in scary situations, desperate to get married because he doesn't wanna die single and simps for the one girl he falls in love with even if she is a Demon. As much as we all hate to admit it, there is a Zenitsu inside all of us. And that's why he is my favorite. As for Inosuke, he possess the traits that we find annoying in real-life, yet we can't help but laugh at every time he proclaims himself to be the strongest or pick a fight to prove it. He is the living embodiment of confidence itself as he is never afraid to fight anyone even of they are Hashiras.
Let's get too the waifu wars, and this one will lead to a lot of fires and pitchfork rallies because I'm about to say a very unpopular opinion. Nezuko is overrated as a Waifu. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate her or anything, but I think she gets too much credit than she deserves. Heck, she is the mascot of the show. Nezuko is a strong, capable and a brave woman and that is before she was made into a demon. But people around the internet just focus on the "Kawaii" factor and either overlook or overstate her qualities. She is by no means a push-over, but she is given too much credit for her own good. That is all I'm saying.
The only thing that I didn't like much of KnY is its main antagonist, Kibutsuji Muzan. Look, I know he is strong and all and he killed a lot of Hashiras and Demon Slayer Corps members in the final arc but that's just it. I didn't feel a sense threat from him even at the first encounter. If I were to compare him with Sosuke Aizen or Madara Uchiha with just threat level, Muzan falls down pretty low. Let me just give you an example: Throughout Naruto and it's sequel series, Naruto Shippuden, we are given the idea of how much powerful Madara Uchiha actually is and when he arrived for the first time on screen, we realized those were just pinnacle of how strong he actually is. He wiped the battlefield with over a 100 Shinobis without breaking a sweat, and even though he was in a reincarnated body which can be regenerated instantly, none shinobis he fought managed to scratch him and that was before he whipped out Susanoo and Rinnegan. Or lets see Sosuke Aizen, when actually revealed himself as the villain of the Soul Society Arc, he wiped the floor with the Shinigami Squad Captains and stopped a sword with just a tip of his finger. I didn't get that much from Muzan. Sure, he took down the lower moons in the Infinity Castle, but the Infinity Castle's power are not his power, it's the power of the demon playing the banjo. Heck, even Akaza and Douma are better villain than him because we feel an sense of threat around them. The only saving grace of Muzan is his motivations, he is not motivated by the greed of taking over the world or replacing humans as demons and ruling over, he is motivated by survival. He wants to live no matter what, even if he has to kill and eat people for it. And like I said, Demon Slayer perfected the art of "Beauty in Simplicity" because Muzan isn't someone who'll fight an opponent forever, the moment he realizes that he is cornered, he will make a run for it which is pretty basic human instinct if you ask me.
The final thing I am going to mention is the the other demons. As I have mentioned, demons other than Muzan are better fleshed out and they are all amazing in their own way whether it is Upper Moon Six Daki and her brother Gyutaro, Lower Moon Five Rui or the Drum Demon. All of them have their motives ans reasons to become a demon which often makes us question whether they are the demon or we are. However if we talk about backstory, Akaza has the most heartbreaking backstory and WARNING, it's a tear jerker, so be prepared to cry a lot when it gets animated.
I've said it before, I'll say it again and I'll say it a 1000 times. Demon Slayer is a manga that has perfected the art of "Beauty in Simplicity". Where many mangas and stories try to engage the audience by increasing the threat, the stake, the danger but often ends up losing their plot or swaying away from it, Demon Slayer managed to stick to it to the tee and proved that you don't need a "World Ending" stake to make an amazing story. You can just do it by keeping it simple. And that's why I love it and I hope people will appreciate it separately when compared to the anime.

I'll be honest, I watched the anime before reading the manga. Mainly because I was interested in the reverse harem story. And I got an anime worth watching. But I am not giving a review of the anime, I'm giving a review of the manga. Yes, I started reading it because I wanted more of the story and see with whom and how she ends up with someone even though I read it on the wikipedia with whom she ends up with in the end. But don't worry, I won't give any spoilers here. All you'll get is my honest to god review.
Watashi ga Motete
...
Dousunda aka Kiss Him Not Me is a story about Kai Serinuma, an overweight otaku who after losing weight suddenly becomes the center of attention for lot of boys and girl. Among them are her classmates Igarashi and Nanashima, her senpai and fellow history club member, Asuma Mutsumi and juniors Shinomiya and Shina Nishina. At first glance, its a typical reverse-harem story where an overweight girl suddenly becomes attractive after losing weight. And you're not wrong. But after reading a few chapters, you see that you can't help but enjoy every moment of it and laugh at their various attempt at winning over Serinuma only to fail.
What I liked most about the story is the number of references of anime. I like the meta moments when an anime/manga references other anime and mangas. The second is the characters. Except for Nanashima and Shinomiya, the rest were the top contenders for Serinuma's affection and for the right reasons. Shina Nishina admired Serinuma back when she was overweight and credited her for indirectly helping her with her anxiety and insecurities. Igarashi was kind to Serinuma back when she was overweight only to fall in love with her after her transformation, and his feelings did came into question when Serinuma went back to her old self but in the end he realized that he loves Serinuma for who she is and not for what she looks like. And finally my man Mutsumi Senpai, he was the first guy to immediately recognize Sernuma after her transformation as if it didn't matter to him in the first place and would often help her during her tough times and let her down when she was making rash decisions. He realized that he was in love with Serinuma very late, but when he did, he didn't waste any time to confess to her and urged others to do the same when so that they don't fall behind or drag him down. He even turned her down when she was deciding who to go out with via video game stating that she will date the winner (even though Mutsumi himself became the winner) and stated that he would go out with her when she feels like it and not when she is forcing herself. Mind you, out of the three characters I have mentioned, one of them ends up with her.
If you like shoujo mangas with reverse-harem stories that can give you a good laugh when you need it, Then you can check it out. You'll enjoy it. Trust me. And don't search on wikipedia on who she ends up with.

We all know the deal of Rom-com and Shoujo Anime and Mangas. Boy meets girl (or vice versa) they fall in love, they are too shy to admit it and go though denial, they face many hurdles until finally they confess to each other (maybe or maybe not under fireworks), the end. And sometimes it is presented in such a way that the fact they confessed to each other and are now a couple makes it so satisfying that we don't question the fact whether they will last? But there are few people out there who are bored with the same type of treatment and
...
want something more. They want to know how their relationship progresses, what hurdles will they face when they are in a relationship, if they'll get married, will their marriage be a happy one or will it end with a divorce and so on. Horimiya is the manga for those very people who have such questions in mind.
Horimiya is the story about Kyouko Hori and Izumi Miyamura. One is a model student in her school who is liked by everyone but keeps it a secret that she is a plain girl who takes care of her house and little brother and other is gloomy looking, introverted student who has a side to him that he doesn't want anyone to know. Both on the surface seems polar opposite, but they both have a lot in common. Such as they both have dual identities and they both keep it a secret from everyone in school because they fear they will be judged and thus they are insecure regarding themselves. In short Horimiya is a love story between two students who find out each others secret and become each other's confidant and blossom into a couple. But to think Horimiya is just a rom-com would be wrong as it has many slice of life elements. Even though the name is portmanteau of Hori and Miyamura, they are not always the center of attention as the story also shifts its focus to other characters in their life whom may have been seen as insignificant initially but once we got to know them, we managed to love and relate to them in our own way. [It is to be noted that Horimiya was originally started as a webcomic by its author HERO]
The manga doesn't just end with their confession as I have said before because they have confessed to each other at chapter 30 out of 125 chapters (episode 04 of the anime), and the story focuses on their advancement as a couple. As the plot mentioned that Hori is a model student who is loved by all, so when she dates someone like Miyamura who has introverted and gloomy atmosphere, a few bumps are bound to appear. Or when the people behind Miyamura's introverted nature comes back to his life, you can imagine a few things happening. But they both persevere through it together no matter what.
I did say that Horimiya is more of a Slice of Life than a rom-com and most of the credit goes to it's authour HERO for fleshing out characters other than Hori and Miyamiura. If I were to say who is my most favorite character out of all of them except for the main lead, I'd say it would be Toru Ishikawa who started as a guy crushing on Hori and tried to antagonize Miyamura when he started hanging out with Hori and developed into Hori and Miyamura's best friend and Best Bro respectively. When he was turned down by Hori after his confession, Miyamura comforted him, when he was still getting over the heartbreak and hear the possibility of Hori and Miyamura dating he was hurting, when he guessed that Hori likes Miyamura and Miyamura feels the same he tries to bring them together despite his own feelings towards Hori and when they do get together, he is the first one to support them and be happy for them. I like how they didn't put his character in a certain cliche and made him a rival character but rather a bro.
Even though I enjoyed Horimiya, there were some things that bothered me but not enough to make me put it down and forget about it. At a certain point into the manga, Horimiya becomes just fillers. Telling stories that are either relevant or irrelevant to the manga itself. There were some gems like Sports Day story, Christmas story, Kyousuke Hori (Kyouko's dad)'s love story, Shota Hori (Kyouko's little brother)'s love story and my favorite Meowmura short stories. And then there are a few short stories that would have been better than to skip them and thank god they weren't adapted to the anime. Still, it wasn't enough to ruin my enjoyment. Because this is coming from a guy who sat through the entire filler arc of Naruto to get to the ending. But if I were to say what was my biggest disappointment with Horimiya, it would be that it ended with them graduating. And that is because as I have mentioned Horimiya originally started as a webomic, and in the webcomic Hori and Miyamura not only get married but also have a kid. And I was hoping to read that part but I found that the chapters weren't made in the manga and the webcomic is hard to find. So, I can only sit back and wait for the chapters to arrive and I can finally die with peace.
Horimiya is a Slice of Life manga disguised as a rom-com with several fleshed out characters and enjoyable stories. And even though there is a filler section, it doesn't completely ruin the reading experience and makes the read satisfying. If you are a sucker for rom-com but are tired of the usual tropes, then Horimiya is just for you.

I'll be honest, when I first read the title, I thought it would be a Trash Anime. When I read the synopsis, I thought it definitely a Trash Anime. But when I saw the show myself, I realized it was anything but a Trash Anime. I have a rule when it comes to watching anime and that is the "Three Episodes Rule". In other words, I judge an anime by watching it's first three episodes. I know I didn't make the rule and everybody follows it, so I do the same as well. And I'm glad I did, or else I wouldn't have gotten

this masterpiece.
I would say my favorite moment was from Episode 3 when the girl Sayu tried to make a move to the lead in desperation to repay the protagonist's kindness only to be let down and known why she doesn't need to repay him. And my favorite episode was Episode 10 where Sayu explains her backstory and the reason why she ended up this way. Both of these I will cherish at heart.
Although the ending was not what I wanted, it was grounded in reality. I would have love to see the aftermath of their relationship and where they go from there. BTW, respect to the protagonist. Not only did he reject the advances of a girl that was willing to sell her body for a roof above her head, but he also defended her when her past were catching up to her and be an ideal man that we can never be.
If you're sucker for love story and drama, I believe this is the right one for you. Just don't be fooled by the title and the synopsis. Trust me, it will be worth it.

Why Queen Bee? Why? Why would you ruin a great h3ntai if you can't handle the animation? And even if I let go of the whole animation thing, what the hell is wrong with your subtitles, it ends before the characters say it word by word. Never have I ever had to pause and rewind to read the subtitles so much in a h3ntai. And yes, I read the dialogues. I'm a degenerate who is in it for the plot.
Speaking of plot, even it was Vanilla, it was delicious. The theme behind the entire story was s3x and carnal desires and how much are they

willing to explore. I liked it and I would have loved it more if it wasn't for the problems above. Another thing I will mention is the characters, mainly the girls. Except for the third episode, I loved each and every girls that came on screen and I would love to see more of them. However, their great potential was ruined by Queen Bee's lackluster animation. So, if you want my advice and enjoy this h3ntai piece, go search for it's doujin instead. You won't be dissapointed.

If I were to give three reasons to suggest someone Jujutsu Kaisen, it would not be for the Art, Fights or the Characters but rather it would be Gojou Satoru, Gojou Satoru and Gojou Satoru. But let's say we take Gojou Satoru out of the equation and analyze the the entire show as a whole, I'd say it's an overrated show with not that much to offer. But then again, it's just one season, and I'm being too harsh.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Jujutsu Kaisen. In fact, it was the anime the brought me back to the Anime Train and is leading me
...
to Otakuhood. But before I talk about the good points. I'll start by pointing out the points I found bland to say the least. First, I'll start with the protagonist Yuji Itadori. I have seen a few Shonen Anime to see that Yuji's character follows the same Shonen tropes of dumb and foolish protagonist (with the exception of Ichigo from Bleach) working hard to get to the top. And don't get me wrong, I do like that about Shonen anime because it makes the show relatable, but there are some limit to as to how dumb the protagonist could be (which is the biggest reason why people prefer Kakashi over Naruto even though he is the title character). And I find the same thing with Yuji. Let's first talk about the motives, every Shonen protagonist has a dream or something to achieve for which they put their heart and soul to it. For Naruto it is to become Hokage so that people could finally acknowledge him as a shinobi, For Luffy it is to become the number one pirate and find the treasure known as One Piece, For Goku it is to become the strongest fighter in the world, For Ichigo it is to..... But I don't find that much meaning to his motives. His motivations is to give people a proper death. What does that mean? If I compare it with the other Shonen Protagonist's motives from recent times, they have better motivations than him. For example, Deku - To be a greatest Hero like his idol All-Might; Souma - To be the greatest chef; Hinata - To lead his team to the National Levels of Volleyball despite his short height and my most favorite one Tanjiro - To cure his sister who has turned into a demon and to kill the demon responsible for his family's death [Note: I haven't seen any of the animes mentioned above (from MHA to KnY), and I only read the manga of KnY]. If I were to compare all of their motivations with Yuji's separately, it is not something that I can support wholeheartedly because I don't even know what it means.
The second thing I am gonna talk about is the ending. It's a common problem with all seasonal animes, in order to make the episode list to the exact number, sometimes they rush an entire arc worth of story which has a lot depth to it. For that particular reason, the last few episode of JJK felt rushed. If you ask me, they should have ended it on the baseball game with Kyoto Jujutsu Academy.
Now that's enough of me shitting about JJK, now let's get to the good stuff. And I hope you stayed till the end, because if you did, then good for you cause you get to see me talk about all the great stuff about JJK. First, the animation. MAPPA is the first ever animation studio I heard of ever since I came back to Anime. And to say they are amazing would be a massive understatement. Their animation is so smooth and the way they mixed 2D with 3D, I wondered whether I was reading a colored manga or watching an anime. And if I were to highlight my most favorite animation done by MAPPA on JJK, it would be the way they depicted the Negative Energy. Blue/Red flames with black lining, even though it seemed 2D, somehow my eyes weren't disturbed by it but rather appreciating it. And Yuji's Black Flash and Todou's Clap Switch deserves 10/10.
Second, the characters. I know I said that we should take Gojou out of equation if we were to analyze JJK but, when talking about the characters of JJK, you can't help but talk about Gojou. At first glance, he seems like a knock-off of Kakashi with two eyes covered instead of one and when he says that he can beat Sukuna even at his complete strength, you can't help but think he is just overestimating his own strength. But those doubts comes crashing down hard when he shows off his Domain Expansion. I'll be honest, like everyone I questioned my sexuality when my eyes met his and when he displayed a portion of his power, I was like, "Nah bro, he is anything but a Kakashi knock-off." And I wholeheartedly believe that this guy can fight Sukuna on equal terms. The next amazing character I'll talk about is Megumi Fushigiro. Like Gojou, I thought he was Sasuke knock-off but as I got to know him more, we started to like him in our own way. Sure, like Sasuke, he has his own past and even though we didn't got to see it much, many characters acknowledged him to be strong and we get see that when he displays his incomplete Domain Expansion. Hopefully we'll see a greater side to Fushigiro in the coming seasons. The final character I am going to mention is Sukuna. Now I have seen Naruto and I used to think that Kyubi/Kurama was not someone who'll turn a new leaf until I was proven wrong. Sukuna however is not Kurama, and the author even said that when he created characters for Sukuna and Mahito, he wanted to avoid the whole "not completely evil" or "good at heart" characters. And you know know that when you see both of them sharing the screen together and laughing at Yuji's misery. Despite all of that, he made it into my favorite charaters. And if you ask where did Yuji make it into the list? Well, I put him lower than Nobara.
The final thing I'm gonna talk about is the fights. One of the few problems with seasonal animes is that fights, don't last long. Especially when you compare it with the fights from Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach and One Piece which sometimes lasts over 10 episodes. That is nearly half of the entire season (almost the entire season if the number of episode is 12/13). Because of that sometimes we don't get to enjoy some legendary battle or miss out on the details that are present in the manga or light novel. However, knowing this handicaps, JJK made the most out of all their fight scenes even if it is just for 3 or 4 episodes. There wasn't a single fight scene that made me bored, rather I enjoyed all of them. Among them my favorite is Yuji and Todo vs Hanami. It was the best fight scene I ever got to watch and it bingeworthy. I would love to describe it but I have been describing a lot of things for so long that my fingers are starting to hurt. So, I'll have to abruptly end it here. Maybe I'll mention it in one of my weekly blogs that I'm about to start. Be sure to check that out.
Thank you for taking your time and reading my analysis on JJK. If you read till the end, then good for you and if you skipped reading half of it, I literally have nothing to say because you aren't here. Well then, that's all. Soyonara!!!

It may be the first Queen Bee product that I actually liked because a lot of their products (which had good story) were due to their terrible art style. But after watching this h3ntai, I see it's more better than the two. That doesn't mean I don't have any problems. I have a bit of pinch with the story. The entire h3ntai's theme is surrounded towards s3x and domination whether it is mutual or friendly or f*cked up.
The first episode didn't do much for me, it was an anthology with two separate stories. The second one however did wonders. At first half, it is an
...
NTR with younger version of the b@st3rd abusing and violating a woman. But the tables turn when the woman enjoys it too much to the point the b@st3rd decides to make a run for it. The ending is satisfying and even though what happened to that b@st3rd is an overkill, I said it before and I will say it again, "A b@st3rd is a b@st3rd." So he reaped what he sowed.
If you decide to watch it, then I suggest that you watch the second episode only. That is the only episode you'll find satisfying.
