I'll be honest, when I first read the title, I thought it would be a Trash Anime. When I read the synopsis, I thought it definitely a Trash Anime. But when I saw the show myself, I realized it was anything but a Trash Anime. I have a rule when it comes to watching anime and that is the "Three Episodes Rule". In other words, I judge an anime by watching it's first three episodes. I know I didn't make the rule and everybody follows it, so I do the same as well. And I'm glad I did, or else I wouldn't have gotten this masterpiece.
I would say my favorite moment was from Episode 3 when the girl Sayu tried to make a move to the lead in desperation to repay the protagonist's kindness only to be let down and known why she doesn't need to repay him. And my favorite episode was Episode 10 where Sayu explains her backstory and the reason why she ended up this way. Both of these I will cherish at heart.
Although the ending was not what I wanted, it was grounded in reality. I would have love to see the aftermath of their relationship and where they go from there. BTW, respect to the protagonist. Not only did he reject the advances of a girl that was willing to sell her body for a roof above her head, but he also defended her when her past were catching up to her and be an ideal man that we can never be.
If you're sucker for love story and drama, I believe this is the right one for you. Just don't be fooled by the title and the synopsis. Trust me, it will be worth it.
