At this rate (nearly 5 years on), it looks like we're going to be MAL friends forever ;)

I like referring to specific accounts for opinions, the tags and notes help me decide what to watch, hoping my account can be one of those accounts LOL

I really love the nostalgia trip with High Score Girl as that was my peak era for games/gaming (in both home console and arcade setting), and I was very nearly as fervent and excitable as Yaguchi.

I think there's a good chance you'll like the High Score Girl OVAs (Extra Stage) and Season 2 as well, because it gets better and funnier, if anything. As you said (in your list section tag), you won't really notice the CG as a flaw or hindrance to enjoyment if the content keeps you entertained. I thought the artwork was quite charming myself, and almost gave it a retro arcade game feel visually/aesthetically.

I thought maybe you'd eaten too much of your superhero themed custom-made birthday cake or overdosed on jelly and ice cream, and weren't in a clear enough mindset to formulate a response. Either that, or you were too hyped-up after playing pass the parcel and musical chairs. I was that age myself once, so I know how wild these types of parties can get ;)

I saw you appear on my friends panel thingy and noticed you were watching High Score Girl (prolly my fave rom-com anime). How are you enjoying it so far/your thoughts?

Also, sorry if I caused offense with the 'have a beer on me' line, and corresponding intoxicated joke picture on your birthday. I successfully used it once before, but that was on someone (from Norway) who made their love for beer quite clear. I didn't hear back from you at the time, so I thought it might have vexed you slightly lol.

Hey! Caught up on Bocchi today and I was curious on your thoughts on something since youre a big Tsukumizu fan. Some of the chibi/less stylized shots of the characters in Bocchi weirdly kinda remind me of Tsuku's designs, what do you think?

Yoshiaki was pretty incredible. I say "was" because he hasn't done anything in the past 15 years, but I still love a lot of his work. I would highly recommend Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust and the animated Highlander film he made. The latter is a little less appreciated.

I also hear that a lot, too. Most people tend to enjoy the second season of K-on more than the first season. Higher production value, and really, a lot more care went into it. Happy to hear you enjoy it :).

That's fair. After everything that's happened, I believe it's perfectly fine to slow down and take a breather. I understand how someone would find some it boring, especially Part 2 of S2, but I thought some incredible achievements were made in this season. Like Vldora's return and pseudo rebirth. Rimuru's new status. And how dark the series becomes. All of the twists, turns, and betrayals. I thought it was amazing. Now, the series took a more political turn. I'm content with that. I think a 4 is a bit harsh, but if you think it deserves that, it's cool. :)
