Second Season of Hakuouki Announced

At the end of the final episode aired on tvk channel, the second season of Hakuouki was announced. It will start this autumn.

I've nearly finished season 1 and it's been great so far, I just hope season 2 will carry on, though I cannot wait to see what season 2 has to offer and Saitou Hajime Ftw. :]

My excuse why she's more tolerable in the game is because she has to deal with one guy instead of a harem. However, if she is only with one guy or she doesn't pick any of the guys,...(Sorry that's how much I can go. I don't want to spoil.) If you read the game you might notice something like I did.

the second needs to be out now! awesome series the ending of season 1 (which i thought was the series) pissed me off but hearing this news makes me happy, can't wait for the second season

I'm so happy! I honestly loved this series, I will admit that it took till ep. 9 for the plot to start developing but thats where the second season comes in. I hope I won't find myself disappointed. =P

Kakoiii, it's about time, Hijikata's awesomeness shouldn't end in one episodes only!! Looking forward to watch the 2nd season ^^,

I hated most of the first season except for the last episode, where the show redeemed itself with all that Hijikata awesomeness and some good tragedy XD I'm actually extremely excited for S2, as long as they have new writers... From what I've seen in stuff about the games there'll be much more death and tragedy and drama in S2, during the Westernization and everything. I hope they follow the game plots, there's so much potential in it. And yes, Hijikata in that uniform is just <3

I'm not all that excited about the second season. I love the animation and the premise is interesting, but the pacing of the first season was awful. I think they could have done a lot better if they hadn't wasted so much time before begining to develop the plot. It's like they thought they had a 24 series span and by the tenth episode someone said, "damn we only have two episodes left."

Even so I will watch it, because if nothing else I adore the characters (minus Chizuru, she just irritates me to no end) and have the weak hope that the second season might make up for the first season.

I am excited for this new season cause the story only started to get interesting at around episode 9... 12 episodes was not enough!

I just hope Chizuru changes and doesn't stay so pathetic. She must be one of the worst female leads that I have seen in a long time. I kinda hope her oni powers become more dominant in the second season.
