i just know that in the end none of this ever happens so why care about it
the real sequal is the epilouge drama cd(sheena and zelos end up together *fangirl scream*) and lloyd and collete did too but ehh zelos and sheena is way more entertaining, dont get me wrong lloyd and collet eis a fine couple and all but it was kind aover before it started, form the very begining of the first game you knew they were already in love with eachother so there was no build up,

I would quite welcome a KoR anime, although I doubt it'd happen.

And by the way,
either of you seen the Tales of Vesperia Movie?

I kind of wish they just made the whole thing an actual series (See: Abyss) as opposed to OVA's since the story feels incredibly rushed in its OVA state but oh well. Atleast it gets an anime adaptation.

Lol yay another one.
I thought it would end with the current ova. So this is good...things won't be so rushed.
Though I wish they would have just given ToS a full tv series instead.
and ruin it with some low budget? No thank you!
Ova's tend to be big budget productions just like movies and usually they use the best voice actors and and hire a good production company and this series is definitely no exception. It has some high quality animation and good action scenes just like Kara no kyo kai, Tokyo revelations, and Karas.

All this talk of ToS is pretty nostalgic. I might just plug in my old Gamecube sometime and replay this game.
Don't forget that ToS is still alive and has a _not so good_ sequel.
I actually liked the sequel it was a nice addition to the series :)

(or heck, go back in time to play a prequel with the four seraphim - Kratos/Yuan/Mithos/Martel)

To those who are interested in trying out the sequel, I'd say go for it. It's not my favorite sequel compared to other sequels to other RPGs, but it's still a sequel in its own right. You won't know if you enjoy it until you actually try it yourself. If you're that uncertain about it, then RENT the game first before purchasing it, but either way... please support Namco/Bandai. They don't release a lot of their games outside of Japan because of the lack of support! o(´^`)o The lack of sales for ToS2 originally hurt/affected the fact that they weren't bringing over the PS3 Vesperia remake to N.A. There are rumors circulating that they've reconsidered, but still. They blamed it on ToS2's lack of N.A. sales. :(
One thing's for sure... if you enjoy playing the Pokemon-type games, you'll more than likely enjoy this. That was one aspect I could have done without, personally, but I know it's part of the game play so I went along with it. I found Marta to be extremely annoying, but then again I can't stand her English voice actress. That alone killed it for me. <.< Maybe if I had a grasp of understanding the Japanese language, I would have enjoyed it more (more so for the menu and reading kanji, not so much for the speaking.) Emil was ok, but I enjoyed playing as Lloyd as the main hero. Maybe it was because he was OP and you could simply spam his combos like mad just by button mashing. <.< *guilty* Hehe. I guess Emil is just slightly more popular due to his dual personality (passive hero/anti-hero bi-polarity :P) since it's extremely popular with the younger fangirl crowd. ^^; Kratos is still and always will be my favorite character, though. (;¯‿¯)
Edit:
What I didn't care for story-wise in regards to ToS2 was how they gave the original characters the finger/backseat and introduced a whole new set of people with minimal character development. The original cast were changed into cameo fodder. I would have liked it more if the original cast were more involved. It just didn't feel like an actual "sequel" to me... but more of a side-story. I have nothing against introducing new characters into a story, or even make it take place in the future that the original cast become past heroes (or heck, go back in time to play a prequel with the four seraphim - Kratos/Yuan/Mithos/Martel), but how they did it in ToS2 was just a bit disappointing for me.

Also, whatever. The sequel was tons better than the first, imo. I hope it gets animated, but I'm not banking on it.

....Sequel?
Oh right. THAT piece of mindless none canon garbage. I never considered that a sequel, or any continuation to the plot of Symphonia what so ever. Trash is trash after all.
Can I smack you? Symphonia 2 is good, why do you people hate it, I loved it~
I'm with you Azure, don't forgot MAL's comments on anime are pretty crappy. Hopefully they meant to end this OVA with that and start an OVA with ToS 2 with Emil later.
Lol. Not bloody likely. I assume they want their ratings to go UP, not down.

So have they decided to drop an ETA yet?
And by the way,
either of you seen the Tales of Vesperia Movie?
Looks like 23rd November is the release day on the first OVA according to MAL.
Ye, I've seen the movia. It was great and had some awesome animations in it. Truly worth a prequel to the game. ;]
