DVD Only Episodes of Durarara!! Announced [Update Mar 18]

According to the official website, the DVD volume 7 of Durarara!! will include an extra episode. It will be released on August 25th.

The extra episode comes on those DVD which is volume 7 which comes 28 August 2010.
The episode is called 12.5 though..

Once I found this out I was wondering if when it said August 25th if it meant this year or next year, according to wiki it's this year. That's good, I was slightly worried that if the episodes didn't come out until next year they wouldn't be included when the series is released in the UK later this year.

They will animate some chapters of the following Light Novels and stop somewhere 'nice'.

Through that, they won't abandon the original story and can possibly do a second season (still praying for Baccano!, good chances thanks to DRRR!!) without re-writing.

So, my bet is that it's the next arc.

These "special episodes" are going to be Episode 25 and 26 (I heard it's going to be just 2 episodes, don't know for sure though) which is going to be follow ups of episode 24. Why not August? You wanna see these episodes with no idea what's going on?
