Introduction
Mahou no Shimai Lulutto Lily is based on the story of sisters Fuu and Rui, who have become distant despite their close past. When Fuu discovers a mysterious spaceship that gives her magical powers, Rui gains abilities of her own, allowing them both to become their ideal adult selves. However, their magic comes with two strict rules: it can only be used for one year, and their secret must remain hidden. Unaware of each other's powers, the sisters embark on their journeys as idols, facing the challenges of their new lives.

The Pierrot Magical Girl Series spanned from 1983 to 1998 and includes five classic titles: Mahou no Tenshi Creamy Mami (Magical Angel Creamy Mami) (1983–1984), Mahou no Yousei Persia (Persia the Magic Fairy) (1984–1985), Mahou no Star Magical Emi (Star Magician Magical Emi) (1985–1986), Mahou no Idol Pastel Yumi (Magical Idol Pastel Yumi) (1986), and Mahou no Stage Fancy Lala (Magical Stage Fancy Lala) (1998).

@RobertBobert, Yuri I also plan to watch. Sad that the new movie was cancelled.

@Memore I didn't say they were bad. It's just that at some point, magical girls and sports shonens effectively swapped audiences after Madoka and Yuri on Ice revealed the potential of these genres to other audiences. Since then, many of their shows seem to be experiencing an identity crisis, unsure what audience they want to attract.

@RobertBobert, you are right, although there are good sports anime that I plan to watch.

@Memore I've never been a huge fan of the genre, even though CCS was one of the most influential anime for me when I first discovered the medium. But I've long been concerned that Maho Shoujo is going down the same path as sports shonen, if you know what I mean.

It looks awful comparing to their old maho shojo series. So pity. I planned to watch it but changed my opinion. Very sad.
