 Studio Pierrot has announced a new entry in its Pierrot Magical Girl Series, titled Mahou no Shimai Lulluto Lilly (Magical Sisters Lulluto Lilly). The anime is set to premiere in 2026, marking the first new installment in the franchise in 28 years since Mahou no Stage Fancy Lala (Magical Stage Fancy Lala) aired in 1998.The project was revealed as a part of the 40th anniversary celebration of Mahou no Tenshi Creamy Mami (Magical Angel Creamy Mami), the first series in the Pierrot Magical Girl Series, which aired from 1983 to 1984. Alongside the announcement, a commemorative visual was released (pictured). While details about Mahou no Shimai Lulluto Lilly are still limited, concept art was unveiled for two new characters, Uguisu and Azuki—described as cat-like beings from a magical land. Their connection to the protagonists and the overall story has yet to be revealed. The Pierrot Magical Girl Series spanned from 1983 to 1998 and includes five classic titles: Mahou no Tenshi Creamy Mami (Magical Angel Creamy Mami) (1983–1984), Mahou no Yousei Persia (Persia the Magic Fairy) (1984–1985), Mahou no Star Magical Emi (Star Magician Magical Emi) (1985–1986), Mahou no Idol Pastel Yumi (Magical Idol Pastel Yumi) (1986), and Mahou no Stage Fancy Lala (Magical Stage Fancy Lala) (1998).
