Publishing company Kodansha announced on Thursday that manga artist group CLAMP's xxxHOLiC: Rei (xxxHOLiC Rei) manga will resume serialization in Weekly Young Magazine's 21st issue on April 21.

A sequel to xxxHOLiC, the xxxHOLiC: Rei manga began in Weekly Young Magazine in March 2013. After a nine-month hiatus from July 2014 to April 2015, it continued on an irregular schedule, with the most recent chapter released in March 2017. Although CLAMP announced in April 2022 that the manga would resume in Spring 2023, this did not materialize. Kodansha published the fourth and latest volume in October 2016.

The original xxxHOLiC manga ran in Weekly Young Magazine from February 2003 to March 2010 before transferring to Bessatsu Shounen Magazine under the title xxxHolic: Rou, where it concluded in February 2011. Kodansha compiled the series into 19 volumes, released between July 2003 and March 2011.

Production I.G produced xxxHOLiC Movie: Manatsu no Yoru no Yume (xxxHOLiC The Movie: A Midsummer Night's Dream) in August 2005. The first television anime premiered in 24 episodes in Spring 2006, followed by a 13-episode second season in Spring 2008, and four original video anime episodes between February 2009 and March 2011.

WOWOW Prime aired an eight-episode live-action television drama from February to April in 2013 under the title CLAMP DramaHolic: xxxHOLiC. The drama series featured several differences from the original manga. A stage play adaptation ran from September 17–26 in Tokyo and October 1–3 in Kyoto in 2021. A live-action movie opened in Japan in April 2022.

Del Rey licensed the manga in English in January 2004 and published all 19 volumes between April 2004 and February 2012. Kodansha USA relicensed the title in July 2013 and released the volumes in omnibus editions from March 2014 to September 2015. The fourth xxxHOLiC: Rei volume shipped in August 2017.

I discovered xxxHOLiC last year. Watched all the anime seasons, OVAs and the movie. Became my favorite animanga thing I found in the whole year.

Read the first manga, then debated starting Rei since it had been on hiatus for 7 years but read it anyway. Can't wait to see where it goes - they went on hiatus on a ridiculous cliffhanger and just at the point where the story was starting to pick up.

Finally!! I want to see the conclusion! The story stopped in a cliffhanger. Crossing fingers for X!

Good news! I hope that their manga Drug & Drop also resumes publishing soon!

I expect them to finish it this time since they're not working on anything else.

@yamiyugi101 I believe that information should be refuted directly, without demagogy of the level of “he is a liar, which means any statement of his that I want is a lie.” You can say, “Well, he lies a lot, so I don’t trust him much,” but to argue that this objectively disproves something of his claims in the absence of direct refutations simply does not hold water. I'm done here, this off-topic has already gone too far.

@RobertBobert when you lie 99 out of 100 times what are you if not a liar you're extremely gullible if you believe his false information the account literally does nothing but make shit up and idiots like you will still eat it up

Jan 9, 3:12 AM by yamiyugi101

@yamiyugi101 So, if I prove that you lied to me about something, can I objectively say that everything you say is objectively a lie as well? Considering that we've all lied at some point in our lives, then...

@RobertBobert if a proven liar says one truth it doesn't negate his lying nature

Jan 9, 3:08 AM by yamiyugi101

@yamiyugi101 I don’t think that believing “every idiot” is any worse than the logic “if he says that the Sun is round, then it is square.”

Jan 9, 3:07 AM by RobertBobert

@RobertBobert and you're gullible and will believe any idiot with a Twitter account have fun getting scammed lol

Jan 9, 3:04 AM by yamiyugi101

@yamiyugi101 So, you don't have any direct evidence. As I thought, goodbye.

Jan 9, 3:00 AM by RobertBobert

@RobertBobert yes the man who shared it is a pathological liar that's all the proof needed and the Nana community called him out he literally picked multiple fandoms to make shit up for

Jan 9, 2:58 AM by yamiyugi101

@yamiyugi101 I’m asking for the last time, do you have a direct refutation of this information?

Jan 9, 2:54 AM by RobertBobert

@RobertBobert fruit of the poisoned tree my guy you're gullible if you believe his information

Jan 9, 2:25 AM by yamiyugi101

@yamiyugi101 Once again, if you want to refute some information, then refute it directly. I am not interested in the identity of the leaker if the information itself has not been objectively refuted.

Jan 9, 2:20 AM by RobertBobert

@RobertBobert he's a proven liar with a lot of receipts to back it up both by the leaker sugoilite and by other twitter users he literally blocks anybody who tries to prove he's a liar if you believe him I got some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you

Jan 9, 2:16 AM by yamiyugi101

@yamiyugi101 Sorry, this is another “he’s lying because he’s a liar” argument.

Jan 9, 2:07 AM by RobertBobert

@RobertBobert that account literally lies pathologically and changes his handle to lie under different names so yes it's fake

Jan 9, 2:05 AM by yamiyugi101

@yamiyugi101 And they were not refuted. The main argument was directed solely against the author, so I don't take it seriously.
