The NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan Anime Industry Panel at AnimeNYC announced a television anime adaptation of Firehead's Yasei no Last Boss ga Arawareta! (A Wild Last Boss Appeared!) light novel on Friday and revealed its first key visual (pictured).
Firehead began writing the adventure fantasy story in the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2015 and then began publishing the light novel in February 2016 under the Earth Star Novel imprint, with illustrations by YaHako. The ninth and final volume was released in April 2019.
A manga adaptation by Tsubasa Hazuki began serializing on the Comic Earth☆Star website in January 2017. The ninth volume shipped on March 13.
J-Novel Club licensed the light novel and manga in English. The light novel's ninth and final volume was released in July 2022 and the manga's first volume went on sale on March 27.

Five years after the series ended and they are now doing the anime adaptation? How does it make any sense?

@Fabris So, is this similar to that isekai where the MC had surrogate children instead of a harem in the isekai?

@EcchiGodMamster Protag is a man, but in the body of his game avatar...who is a adult woman.
Most of her companions are females, with just some males in the middle.

You don't say lol?
I'm not asking about her companions, but overall lol

I have one question. Is there any romance here?
@RobertBobert Is a Gender Bender OP MC isekai, but surprisingly, it has almost no fanservice from either sex.
No serious romance either (is mostly a punch stuff and watch some lore dump type series), but yuri-shippers are gonna eat the very few (and clearly unserious, comedic ones) baits like strawberry cake.

Please, be good, please, be good. Dont be a CGI abomination like Wiseman Disciple, or a extreme low budget slop, like Maougun.
Also, I do wonder were they will stop. Post-Aries is too early, even if is a decent arc, with decent end...maybe post-Virgo? The fight with the other lv1000 would be amazing, but can it be rushed in a 12/13 episode format?

LET'S GOOOO!!!! I never thought that this series would get an anime adaptation since this isn't really that popular and the protagonist is never mentioned anywhere outside of powerscaling so this is really an unexpected but welcome surprise.
Can't wait for the anime to come and hopefully the animation is good since it has a hell lot of fights.

Wow, didn't believe it at first that this is getting an anime, but I'm here for it. Hope they get a bit of a budget together for this one for all the world-ending DBZ-style attacks they casually throw left and right.

Someday people will stop confusing the manga adaptation with the original LN, but apparently not today. But getting back to the topic, I have one question. Is there any romance here?

This is gonna be rad ngl. Lufas Maphaahl. I absolutely love the manga, reason being Lufas is one of the most OP isekai protagonists I have ever seen as well as the plot and world building. Damn! I can't wait!!!
