Oricon Biz collected questionnaires from people in the anime industry about manga and light novels which they anticipate to be animated. The respondents are working for anime magazines, music labels, TV companies, and anime journalism.

Top: Saint Young Men
Nakamura Hikaru's comedy manga. The humane conversation between Buddha and Jesus Christ catches great popularity. However, its anime will encounter controversy about religious issues. Such concerns raise the expectation even more.

Second: Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai
Fushimi Tsukasa and Kanzaki Hiro's light novel. Considering the popularity of the novel and having a professional animator Kanzaki in the staff, its anime adaptation will be a big hit.

Third: Chihayafuru
Suetsugu Yuki's manga on Sports Karuta. Numbers of the respondents said it will be animated anytime soon.

Other notable titles:
3 Gatsu no Lion
Umino Chika can appeal to wide range of audience.

Pluto
Yotsuba&!
Both of the titles have long been in the list of the anticipated titles. However, it's extremely difficult to animate the two because of the authors' particular thoughts on the manga.

Medaka Box
The great hit of Bakemonogatari also brought attentions to Nishio Ishin's manga.

Kiyoku Yawaku
Moteki

LOL. I think Saint Young Men can definitely cause some problems. However, that just makes me want to watch it more. Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai sounds like it could be a hit. Chihayafuru and Yotsuba& also seems interesting.

Pluto seems like it could be good but I'd rather see a 20th Century Boys anime^^ The manga is fantastic and I'm sure the anime could be a hit too :)

Religious issues... Kodomo no Jikan gets animated but religion scares the animators away? Step up and do it!

Yotsuba would be great too but I'm somehow afraid to see it animated... I strictly differentiate between Manga and their Anime adaptions but Yotsuba is so perfect as it is, I just can't imagine it as an Anime...

Saint Young Men would be awesome animated. maybe someone will finally start to translate it. but too many religious issues will certainly be of a great hindrance.
and mb Pluto...

MEDAKA BOX!!!!!!!!!!

I want it to be animated; that'd be damn awesome.

I think its too soon for Medaka Box to be animated.

Yeah, since they might have to do fillers since there are about 34 chapters out now. But I'm looking forward to it.

i dont understand the posts about not animating Saint Young Men due to religious controversy. who would bother?
if anything, its a reason to animate this, controversy always sells. its free advertisement.
the manga is just not that funny,
i dont understand why its so popular in japan.
maybe the anime will change my mind.

I would love to see a Yotsuba&! anime, but I'm pretty sure I heard a while ago that the author didn't really want that.

Oh goodness, Saint Young Men?? Seriously?? xD I was wondering if that was ever going to get animated.

Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou

I know there are 2 OVA episodes, but it would be great if there was show with at least 50 episodes.

Where is Beelzebub? I thought it is the most popular newcomer of WSJ of the past year. Or is it too early for that?

Ore no Imouto ga konna ni Kawaii wake ga nai is so totally fine with me getting an anime adaptation.
But they should make the chara design after the novels rather than from the manga.

I would love to see a Saint Young Men anime adaptation! I love the concept of the manga (which I have yet to read), which I think wold translate over to an anime really well. Takehito Koyasu and Jouji Nakata as Buddha and Jesus, anyone?

And here I thought Mirai Nikki would be on here, but no. :( At least Saint Young Men seems like it might be interesting.

Who in the fuck would want unfunny crap like Saint Young Men animated?

On the other hand, I'd love to see anime commit suicide with Medaka Box.

I thought the Yotsuba&! creator didn't want it to be animated for various reasons? Pretty sure I heard that mentioned.

I heard this too...
I really want it to get animated though. :(

Azuma doesn't want it animated. He doesn't feel that the mood of Yotsuba will translate well into anime, and you can't blame the man at all. It's nice to see some mangaka trying to protect the dignity of their work, because not every adaptation comes out the way the creators intended.

Reading something and watching it are two whole different experiences.
